 I spent 2 nights here and what a wonderful campsite, which cost me £21.00 per night for myself, 5 children(between 7 and 11years) and 2 tents and loads of room to run around. This is for back to nature camping, you have toilets and hot showers and water and a bar 'The Random Arms', which is all a camper needs.
This is great for backpackers and those that are not too worried about electric hookups etc (there aren't any). However it has wonderful views of the sea and of Plymouth. It is a mixture of a old Napolionic barracks with second world war features surrounded by loads of fields. The owners are really friendly as are the people who work in the bar. The bar is really well priced A pint of Flowers and 5 Cokes cost me £7.50(I thought he had undercharged me)they also do have bands on at the weekends and have there own micro brewery.
The beaches of Kingsand and Cawsand are 15 minutes walk (on the way the kids must of eaten loads of berries from the bushes), and are child friendly and don't have the amusement arcades, they are not needed as there is so much to discover on the beaches and the local area.
All of my 5 children had a great time and cant wait to get back down there again and neither can I.
