Wasps and noise from industrial units behind and lots of pot holes in the camping ground making it quite hard to walk on at times
And dirty broke down Caravans and lots of people living on site felt very uncomfortable left 3 days early NEVER GO AGAIN
Also looks like a travellers site

We used this site as a stopover returning from Cornwall, although it looked as if some people were staying for some time and it is near to all the beautiful spots in South Devon.
Very easy to get to from M5, site access fine. Excellent brand new facilities which seemed very adequate for the number of people using them, relaxed feel to site and where we pitched gave us a view out towards the hills (although that would depend on how full the site was and where you were positioned).
No idea about nearby facilities as we were only there just over 24 hours and spent our time on the beach below Salcombe Regis (an isolated gem) and Exmouth.
Negatives? Some road noise, gates close at 10pm so late arrival would be an issue. No children with us, but seemed like a good play area was available (but off to one side so you don't have to be near it).

Spent 9 nights at this site. Nice area pitch with 16 amp electric and close to the new toilet/shower block.
On one side of the site are a large number of permanent vans with seldom seen occupants. Several tents came in over the weekend and seem to be sited rather haphazardly around the area.
We enjoyed our stay, visited various places around and got to know several on the site.
There is obviously a lot of work going on to improve the site which is good but several old deserted vans need removing and the entrance could do with sprucing up to become more inviting.
The owner and his partner are very friendly and helpful and facilities are great. Given a chance this is a very friendly and good priced site in the area.

We travelled 200 miles to buy a motorhome and were looking for somewhere close to park up for the night to get used to the motorhome before travelling back home.
We found this site on the web rang and they got straight back to us, within half an hour we were camped up for the night, lovely big open field, nice shower block, laundry and kitchen rooms available to use.
We asked for advice and everyone was friendly and willing to help, will definitely return to this site, just off the motorway, so easy to get to, near Crealy and Exmouth beach down the road

Great site with fantastic shower room, Equipped laundry. Great washing up room with fridge freezer.
Short bus ride into Exeter. Some seasonal pitches let it down with tarps over motorhomes and junk around. Proprietor very nice.

Have just come back from 2 nights at this lovely campsite. It is basic but very cheap and the lovely friendly owner was very welcoming. The toilets are basic but clean and tidy and there is a fantastic new shower block being built that looks great. It is very close to everything including Crealy. There is an industrial park nearby but we didn't hear any noise from there although the main road was quite noisy. Very safe field for our children to play in and a beautiful sky at night, what more could you want!

Simple camp site, ideal for children. Large safe field with plenty of wildlife including rabbits and hedgehogs in the evenings. Like many sites there is a little noise from the road and nearby factories but far less than others I have visited. Exit the top gate and there is a safe 10 minute walk to Crealy and East/West buses. Visit Greendale farm shop if you have the chance to see the animals and browse the huge range of meat, fish and bread and a lovely café. Children enjoyed feeding the large flock of hens. This is camping as it should be and a good base for exploring Devon.

Found this site on here looking for somewhere to stop over one night on way to cornwall as a lot of sites wont take 1 nighters. Arrived on site. Just off m5. Easy to find. To open field of countryside. Met a man after a while who give us an electric pitch next to the gents on hard standing. Then after a few minutes heard lots of noise so took dog a walk to investigate, found a few factories behind the field with a lot going on fork trucks loading lorries. I asked one of the workers what time it closes said half 5 so after that it was all quiet. The toilet and shower blocks are old no loo paper and cold water. The field seemed like a lot of people are long term with small dog kennels but no dog toilet bins at all. All in all ok for one night would I stop again maybe

Just got back from long week end had a lovely time. The site is lovely and well looked after it is perfect if you like to get out and about as near, Sidmouth and exmouth plus 5 mins drive from Exeter city centre and the owner was lovely and very helpful as needed to entertain 4 children! also it was very handy to have bus stop right outside the camp. The only problem was the toilets don't get me wrong always toilet paper but cold water in sinks unless you pay 50p and 1 shower which you had to pay £1. This site has so much potential just need more toilets and better showers.

On arrival at this site you will be charmed by the open aspect and view of the surrounding countryside. It is placed less than half a mile from the Exeter M5 exit and thus very easy to find. You also pass a pub called the Cat & Fiddle which serves quite good food. There is also a farm shop another half a mile up the road. The site is placed within easy reach of Exmouth and other coastal resorts in South Devon. That is the good bits, sadly the toilets had plaster falling off walls, masses of cobwebs and usually no paper. Ugh. We parked along the top hedge and was awoken each morning at 6 am by a beeping forklift working in the adjacent industrial estate, including weekends. You are not aware of the estate when you arrive.
