Wow, what a lovely site!
Agreed the pitches are not perfectly level but wasn't a problem at all, blocks are provided if you do not have your own.
The single shower and toilet are spotless.
The site is exceptionally well maintained, with TV aerial points next to the hookup, they even supply long TV cables!
In the shower block is a selection of DVD, VHS movies, books and magazines for you to borrow.
On a Sunday there is a car boot sale site ½ mile down the road, worth a visit if that's what you like.
I live only 12 miles from here and will be visiting many time in the future.
As far as CL sites are concerned, this is probably the best I have stayed at.

A very good site offering great facilities. The owners are very friendly and obliging. We found the site 2 years ago and have used it for both short and longer stays. There is a slight slope to the pitches but levelling blocks are provided. We have dogs so the field is welcome for walking. For the fee charged per night it represents very good value. It's only about 10 mins from the M4 so access is easy the site is gated making it secure. The shower is modern and spotless. We would highly recommend this site.

This site is a little gem. Unisex toilet and shower are kept very clean. Site is kept very clean and tidy. Eddy and Dee the owners make you very welcome and Eddy is very helpful. Pitches are slightly uneven but levelling blocks are supplied. Some nice walks in the area and a pub about 200yds away. Previous reviews mention the owners dog, which all it wants to do is play, it is no problem to visitors at all.

This is a great little site very clean and tidy. Eddy always helps you when you arrive like filling your tank up with water. In the always clean shower toilet room you will find dvds to watch, loads of books to read, even local walks to do and ariel leads to borrow. Only wish I could find other sites like this. Also I levelled up easy enough on my pitch. The views are lovely, I highly recommend this site.

We visited this site in September for the first time. Very impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness of the site. Adequate facilities for recycling and kitchen waste. There is one toilet and shower facility which is excellent. Very pleasant and helpful owner called Eddie. Nothing too much trouble for him. Lovely to have fresh eggs from the chickens at the CL. We notice a negative comment about the dog which the owners have. We had our two cocker spaniels with us and had absolutely no problem. The dog is under control and was not aggressive in any way as far as we were concerned. Good stopping off place to visit Wiltshire and surrounding area. One negative comment is that the noise from the B road at the top of the site can be heard during the day, but did not bother us at night.

For a short break this is ideal, however if you are looking for a site for a longer stay, then this may not be for you.
First of all the good points, the site is immaculate, as is the single toilet and shower, for your money this is a good site.
The bad points, first of all the pitches are not level, in fact far from it. We have a twin wheel Crusader and to get it level we had to lower the 'A' frame to the floor whilst supporting the rear steadies, we also had to use blocks under the one side to raise it by about 4 inches.
Second, you do not get much space, if like us you enjoy a large awning, then you cannot use it here, we had to use our porch awning instead.
One final thing, the owners did have a roaming German Shepherd, although it is young and mainly confined to the gated entrance area, it did on a couple of occasions enter the main site and set about our aged dog, this has been quite upsetting really.

We used this site for only one night on our return home from Cornwall.
We booked ahead and followed the instructions for booking in which worked well.
The site is nicely landscaped the pitches are level and hardstanding, all have hook up and a tv ariel point. It is below a B road which is a little noisy at rush hour but not disturbing to sleep.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal at The Peterborough Arms which is a short walk away, the menu was fantastic and the food amazing and not to be missed.
Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to enjoy the local area and the site deserves a longer stay as there is plenty to do in the area much of which is advertised in the utility block.
There is one uni-sex loo a shower and two sinks adequate for the size of the site.
We enjoyed our stay and will return.

This is a small pretty campsite, within easy reach of Chippenham and Swindon, also within easy reach of the M4.
All pitches have a lovely views over a lake and open countryside.
The hardstandings have ample room, the one we stayed on at this occasion had a very slight slope, Eddie the owner guided me in and levelled up our Autocruise before I could get my own ramps out. He also helped with the EHU and plugged in a TV lead on EHU pillar
We have stayed here previously there is a B road nearby but it is now much quieter (probably due to the Lynham airbase having very few staff now and is almost closed)
The toilet/showering facilities are modern and spotless with real hot water. Somewhat unusual is the impressive library of books / videos and games that are available for campers
Sundays there is a huge boot sale, within walking distance, and the pub (100 mtr or so served a good meal the last time we went. )

We used this site as a stopover en route to Devon, but it would probably be worth a short stay. It looks lovely, but is very near to a busy road which disturbed us somewhat. We were given the pitch nearest to the gate, which looked level but wasn't. We managed to drive on the grass which was very boggy, so try and keep off it. The owner was very nice about his churned up grass!
It's easy to find and would recommend it. Lyneham is not far away and has all you need, Co-op, Tesco Direct and a garage.
We found our Sky tv signal ok, so OH was happy enough! The facilities were locked and we were not given a key, so can't comment on them. We were charged £10, very fair.

My wife and I booked in for 2 nights but ended staying for 6. The owners are very friendly, Eddie even filled up my water tank while his wife Dee showed us around.
It is a very pleasant site with electric hookup on each pitch including a tv connection point. You can also borrow a coaxial lead to connect to freeview tv programmes.
Although there is no regular bus service, you can phone the local bus/taxi service and they will arrange to pick you up at the gate and take you to the nearest bus stop, and arrange to pick you up from the stop when you return, and you can also use the oap pass too.
The only bus that passes the site is Friday mornings to Chippenham.
We used this bus and it went all round the outlying villages and farms past lovely little hamlets with thatched cottages etc.
There is also a good car boot on sunday mornings about half a mile from the site.
We would highly recommend this site to anyone.
