This is a good site with clean and working facilities. We went when the weather was quite wet and my only criticism is that the pitches are on peat type soil and the water doesn't seem to drain away leaving puddles around the tent and under the ground sheets as well. Some mess to clean off when you get home! Next time I will take a mat to cover the entrance better. Fantastic walks and views from the Beacon nearby. Pitches sheltered and well laid out.

Enjoyed our nine days here in early June. We did experience a couple of days of sea fog at the beginning of our stay but then the sun shone and the views are spectacular. Good facilities and choice of pitches from sheltered ones to the open field where we chose for the coast and the amazing sun sets. Reception has milk, bread etc available and the site is ideal for touring round much of Cornwall itself. Being only 20 miles or so from Penzance/St Ives/Newquay/Eden etc.

We visited this campsite in a very changeable August and still had a great time. The campsite offers four small sheltered fields, with a maximum of eight tents in each field, plus two more open fields but with sea views. The coast path is five minutes from site and a lovely beach at Chapel Porth is a fifteen minute walk or five minute drive. The toilets and showers were always spotless, which was very impressive as we had quite a bit of bad weather. Although it was the height of the season, there seemed to be sufficient facilities. It is a 20 minute/half hour walk cross country to St Agnes, where there are loads of great places to eat; highly recommended is the Railway Tavern, although arrive before 8 during summer season.
All in all, no complaints and the owner, Jayne, always seemed to be on hand to answer any queries, although never intrusive.
We would definitely go back and I am loathe to recommend this little gem for fear of it being fully booked next summer!

Stayed here for nine nights experiencing all weathers! But what a super camp site. Plenty of sheltered pitches but we chose the large field with, as we found later in our stay, fabulous sea views down the coast to St Ives and super sunsets too.
Beacon Cottage has excellent facilities, kept immaculately clean too.
It's also very central for seeing all of Cornwall and only few mins drive from a lovely beach, and the village of St Agnes where you can get anything you need. Though the site supplies milk, eggs and fresh brtead every day.
We recommend this site very highly and look forward to staying there again on our next trip to the SW.
