It is a nice flat open site, easily cyclable to Oxford, with good countryside around, and others have reviewed it favourably so I'll just limit myself to a couple of criticisms.
The site's website gives the price per person of £7 in high season and that is what I expected to pay as a single person in a campervan. However I was charged twice that for one night, which I had to accept as the main site in Oxford was full.
While I went to the pub my pitch was enveloped by a large group of families (not the owners fault) and I felt I had to move. I went to an open space as far possible from the noisy road only to have the owner come and tell me that it was the rally field and because of a neighbour 'ready to complain' I had to move, so I ended up near the road.
Had I been charged £7 I wouldn't have minded the £1 for the shower but as I was charged twice that, I did.

We camped here for three nights at the end of June.
Not within easy walking distance of a pub, which is approx three miles away, as there are no paths.
The local shop is approx 400 metres away and it sells South African foods as well as the basics.
The owners informed us that there were buses every fifteen mins into Oxford but we did not use these. We got a lift into Oxford and got a taxi back which was £20. (this was through the day)
Toilets and shower were possibly the best I have seen on a camp site, but I agreed with the other review about the sign regarding the £1 for the shower, I found it a little odd and unnecessary.
The site was very flat and there was a lot of space for each pitch. The owner also had no problem keeping spaces so large groups could stay together.
The owners were friendly and very welcoming to our parrot Clicquot and their grandchildren came over to see her and were very excited.
Overall a clean and tidy site with very friendly owners. I would recommend this site.

We found this site to be a lovely, peaceful location with friendly owners.
However, we were disappointed about the information regarding the distance from Oxford. UKCampsite.co.uk states 1. 7 miles. This is not true. When I called up, the owners actually said it was 2-3 miles. On checking the AA route finder, we discovered it was 4-5 miles! Because we have a motorhome, we often use taxis to get around so we probably would have chosen another site.
The shower blocks are (as per previous reviews), the best I have ever used. Very comfortable and tastefully done. There was an odd sign next to the shower explaining that there is a charge of £1 for a shower and this is to 'ensure all guests have equal access to facilities'??? Not sure why as people could just keep putting coins in? It would have felt more honest to just say they have spent a lot of money on the unit and would like a contribution towards maintaining it in immaculate condition. I actually had no problem paying for the luxury but found the signage slightly less than genuine!
The site does feel a little unfinished. There were building materials left out (outside shower block) which isnt ideal with small children and also the toilet waste lid was loose with large screws exposed. The trees also desperately need cutting on the entrance so beware if you have a large vehicle. We scratched our roof getting in and out. On the whole though, we would recommend this site and we had a nice couple of days here. Lots of space for kids to safely run around and very friendly, hospitable owners.

We stayed overnight at the beginning of June and stopped by on the off chance that the campsite would have room for my father and I and our motorhome. An absolute gem of a campsite. Easily accessible from Oxford, the campsite appears very new with a spotlessly clean shower / toilet building. Two toilet cubicles and 1 shower cubicle with modern electric shower in the gents, the shower is on a coin operated meter giving 15 minutes for £1.
The field is well laid out with a few hardstandings with electric hook ups and the rest of the field is spacious and level with hedges around the outside. The owner, Ed or Eddy, who also does farmhouse B&B, was most welcoming and at £14 a night for two (without hook up) the price was good too.
We will be back!

2 adults and 3 children. Had a lovely time at Valley Farm, the owners were very helpful and the facilities were clean and tidy. The camp site was spacious and quiet. The toilet block needs to be completed but this was not a problem. The road is nearby but not very noisy. Nice and close to Oxford. There is a reservoir near by which was a delight to walk around, and I believe is only a walk away (we drove though)

Just returned from a fabulous May bank holiday camping trip. Valley Farm Campsite is a fairly new campsite, but all the signs are there that every effort is being made by the owners, new toilet and shower facilities, which are clean, warm and dry.
Not much to do within very close quarters (pubs etc) are probably not within that easy 5 minute walk, but we weren't on a pub crawl after all.
Owners helped us once as our power (EHU) supply started to 'trip' a couple of times, and perhaps we were using to much power for his supply, but this was our first experience of such an issue and our colleagues were not drawing any more than we were, but after a bit of common sense we figured things out.
We especially liked the fact he allowed raised camp fires, and this suited us just right ( being able to get nice and close to the fire as opposed to ground level where you have to sit further away from the heat source.
Ground was flat throughout, and we were treated to spectacular night skies and warm balmy days, all 4 of us coming back with tanned faces, arms and legs.
Would recommend this site to anybody.
We will return.

We have just spent the weekend at Valley Farm and have had a wonderful time. The site is in the process of being finished but this did not detract from its charm in the slightest. The ladies toilets(x2)and shower(x1)are lovely. (I'm sure the mens are too but I didn't look. ) It's like going in to a hotel bathroom! I'm sure it will look even more fantastic when completely finished. The field is large and open with far reaching views. The owners were very warm and friendly and the children had a super time grubbing around the field with their new buddy. It's a very tranquil spot and well positioned for the city and countryside. It's quite easy to miss the sign as you approach as there is another sign just above it and no brown camping sign as yet on the road. We found it okay but just to be aware of that if you are new to the site. We thought it was absolutely delightful and wish the owners the very best of luck with it all as they are obviously putting a lot of love and effort into this new venture. Take the road in towards Eynsham. There is a toll bridge (costs a whole 5p!) the Talbot pub was very pleasant with decent food and was family friendly. We will definitely be back to Valley Farm Camp site.

Very special ! We will be back! The toilet and shower blocks were nearly finished and looked like hotel standard as opposed to your average campsite. A lovely discovery very spacious pitches with superb surroundings and only minutes from Oxford City.
The facilities were basic as the owners are still finishing the loos and showers but it was all you needed on a hot weekend. We were able to walk across the field to the local shop for simple supplies, and get a bus at the top of the Lane into Oxford. The Reservoir is an easy walk where you can have a drink and watch the sailing and surfing. We should have booked ahead for lessons. This campsite has the best of all worlds. I Will remember this bank holiday for years to come mind you the weather added the final touches, come on England give us a good summer!

The entrance is not easy to use, we have a swift sundance 630 and the overhang from the trees battered the sides. The site is a field with a tap in it, as it had been wet we couldn't use the field for fear of sinking. But the owner said we could use a gravelled area in front of a building, which turned out to be an office. As we found out when someone knocked on the van door on mon morning to ask what we were doing there. The owners were friendly enough but a lot more needs to be done as at £12. 50 it really isn't cheap.
It is also at least 4 miles into Oxford city centre and not 1. 7 miles as it states.
There is a bus stop just down the road, but it is a very busy road and the traffic noise can be heard on the site.

Taking the Olympic Theme maybe a little bit to seriously, I rode my bicycle from The Hague to London and stopped at this lovely campsite/ bed & breakfast. (And yes, I was taking the long way round. )
The campsite was very basic, which made it ideal for me. But I guess the average camper would appreciate a few more facilities. The surrounding area was lush-green and peaceful. And the centre of Oxford was just 20 min. Away… by bike I mean.
Because of the rain (and sore legs) I stayed an extra night and treated myself to a very comfortable room in the bed & breakfast. The house has been beautifully renovated and the family is warm and friendly. I made it all the way to Chichester the next day thanks to the awesome breakfast they served :-)
