We arrived a day or two after the site had gone 'live' and had a truly fab time.
We were greeted by Tim, the owner, who helped us transfer our belongings to our pitcher via a trolley. Tim is the ideal person to be running such an enterprise - he is warm, extremely helpful and so enthusiastic about everything.
I loved the site - the pitches well well spaced out in meadow clearings and we were not aware of the other campers. The site was so peaceful and well maintained.
The facilities were not perfect as the main shower block was still under construction when we arrived but this caused no problems whatsover. The one shower and toilet that were in operation were excellent, as was the compost toilet.
The only comments I would make for improvements are:
Fill in the divets as it would be easy to turn your ankle which could spoil a holiday
Try and get rid of the thistles on the pitches
Supply hot water in the washing up area
Re the thistles, as soon as I mentioned this to Tim he was out with the strimmer to reduce them. However, although no hardship, it did mean that we couldn't walk around barefoot.
I think this is a wonderful site and I will certainly be going back!

Absolutely brilliant campsite.
Had an extremely warm welcome and were shown straight to our pitch. The pitch locations are situated approximately 20 meters from one another, giving you a sense a privacy and your own little space. Each pitch has plentiful room for even the largest tents, and a 'fire pit' with various tree stumps for seating.
Facilities were excellent: toilets, washing up area, shower, and reception all located in close proximity and easy to find.
Country side was beautiful with a farm shop situated just a few minutes walk away.
Camp site owner was incredibly helpful, offering loads of advice on places to eat, walking routes, and nearby beaches.
Overall a brilliant weekend camping at the Secret Campsite.

We were greeted on arrival by the owner, who was friendly and welcoming. We were quickly shown where to unload our belongings and were provided with a large wheelbarrow to cart our belongings to our camp.
The area was well kept, each camping area a good distance away from one another so you can maintain a good level of privacy throughout your stay.
Firewood is available to buy on site but if you need charcoal or other kindling wood, or any other essentials, there is a petrol station nearby.
Toilets are compost toilets which were clean and didn't smell at all (despite our stay overlapping onto the hottest day of the year!).
There is a washing up room available which also has two plug sockets if you need to charge your phone or blow up your electric bed (as we did!).
There are showers available which allows you water for 5 minutes at a time, but if five minutes isn't enough you can simply set it up for another 5 minutes.
There is a lovely pub nearby called the Anchor Inn, which is great for the family as you can rent small rowing boats by the hour to sail down the gentle river.
All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely return again. The location was lovely as it was very peaceful and away from any noise, but close enough to local pubs, shops etc.
Would 100% recommend to others.

From Sebastian (11).
At the secret campsite I found out that there were: Fallow deer, Badgers, Foxes, Buzzards, Phesants, Woodpeckers, Toads, Stoats, and the endangered Holly blue butterfly.
We had a great time - thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
