We have stayed here at least 5 times and always thoroughly enjoy our stay whatever the weather.
The owners are very friendly and helpful always.
The district is so enjoyable - will be back next year.

This is a small site with a dozen statics and a number of other caravans/tourers in a circle. We were offered a small space with shared EHU for four, by the main driveway, (not much space for four so take a long EHU lead). We were opposite a sweet camping field by a hay shed. Not hard standing but we were offered to park on the driveway by a gate.
The toilet block was immaculate but there are not many. The showers were good and hot. An ideal location; a simple, flat, two minute walk to the beach and a mile into town.
Caernarfon was touristy, equipped and prettier in the sunshine.
Beach was good for dog walking but stoney, so less good for children.
Not sure why the campsite was so expensive? They are lucky to be well placed but would lack amenities in high season. Covid stopped us using the town and I forgot to ask for the WiFi.

Brilliant site, nice service pitch and lovely clean and safe toilets and showers including disabled shower cubicle.
This is a working farm so there is some agriculture noise but nothing that disturbed our peace.
We choose this site due to the location with being a pleasant coastal walk to the foot bridge into Carnarvon, it takes about 15mins, unfortunately for us the bridge was closed due to maintenance work so we were disappointed and we had to walk back to the site as unfortunately the alternative route was another mile and half and it the lanes are very narrow and no pavements.
There are no more pubs walkable in the area so probably would make sure the foot bridge was open before we booked again,
But all in all it is a lovely site although a little bit expensive at £30 a night in September
I would still recommend it.

Lovely small site that caters for statics, seasonal pitches, tourers, campervans/ motorhomes and tents.
We were very fortunate to get a touring pitch during the covid months, although it was near the hay shed but had fabulous views down to the Menai Straits. We had a joint post for electrics and water tap.
On arrival we were given a Covid tour of the toilet blocks and bins, all very carefully set out with sanitizing units.
The owners are super friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. During our stay the farmer would have a natter and discuss cars, especially as we had a Land Rover.
The only negative would be the high price we paid per night. We would normally get a huge fully serviced pitch for £30 a night which this was not. But during the unusual times we were glad to be away.

Glanllyn Lakeside Caravan & Camping Park - Bala
Glanllyn is situated on the shore of Lake Bala in Wales. 16 acres of natural parkland and spectacular views of nearby hills and mountains make it an idyllic spot to pitch a caravan, motorhome, tent or campervan with level grass or hardstanding pitches. For water sports enthusiasts there is a private shingle beach with easy launching area for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. Camp shop, wifi, laundrette, excellent heated toilet & shower facilities. The market town of Bala is 3 miles away with plenty of small shops, pubs & retaurants, cinema and a leisure centre. Good site, we stayed on overspill pitch which was close to facilities, but no view and separate from other campers, but the same cost.
Great for level walks and walks to town.

We only found this campsite from reviews on UK Campsite; they don’t appear to have a website and do well from word-of-mouth recommendations.
The overall site includes a static van section with around 12 units and a separate camping field for tents and campervans (no electric).
The main caravan/motorhome section has 18 pitches in a circle, each gravel hardstanding with its own water, EHU and grey water drain.
Around 12 of these are taken by seasonal caravans (most empty mid-week), so only a few available for touring vans. This area is next to the farm yard, so expect activity and tractor noise into the evening.
The owners are welcoming and helpful. The facilities block is in a static van and looks brand new. All is spotless and the only downside is that the showers are push button and fixed head, but they are overhead/deluge type.
A lovely spot, 15 minutes walk along the coast path to the footbridge into Caernarfon. Recommended for a visit, but suggest that you book to ensure a pitch is available.

Really recommend this lovely, family run campsite set on a farm two minutes walk from the Menai Straits and half an hour’s walk to Caernarfon by the sea. It’s a small site with amazing facilities. The loos and showers are new and immaculate.
Ifor is a delightful, friendly man who makes you feel welcome.
We’re definitely going to return.
