This site is situated in a large country park a few miles from the M1 with some lovely walks and bike rides to be had around some beautiful lakes. We were there over the May bank holiday weekend and the small site was crowded and noisy with a festival feel to it. We went without kids but those that were there seem to have a great time. Acres of parkland for games, bikes etc. We had a great time and loved the nearby town of Olney which has some nice shops and a Co op and small Tescos and a couple of nice delicatessens. The caravan pitches are rather close together, so close in fact that we couldn't have an awning and a car at our pitch and parked nearby. We were very disappointed with the toilet block, it was filthy (even after it had been cleaned!) and hot water was in short supply at busy periods. There is no warden as such, just somebody manning the main gate into the park. The loo block is cleaned by the council so there is no one 'on site' to complain to. Overall would recommend it for a weekend break but avoid it over holiday weekends.

This is a very nice site in a lovely location but it is let down by the toilet block.
The site is situated in Emberton Country Park which has several really good play areas, lakes and pick-nic sites.
The park is about a 1 mile pleasant walk from Olney which is a very attractive market town with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants.
The site itself is spacious and well maintained and was very well-sheltered from the wind.
The only downside to the site was the toilet block which was too small for the site and did not offer separate sinks for cleaning you teeth / getting washed. While we were there the toilets were quite dirty and without toilet roll for the majority of the time.
In all other respects though it was a lovely site.

We spent 3 nights ( Sat - Tues) at Emberton Park - in the touring field. On the Sat when we arrived it was very full, but my Sunday evening there were only a handful of tents left.
There was lots of space for the kids to play, a small swing park, & lovely walks by the lake.
The heated showers & toilets were spotless, & there was no waiting about even when full.
The nearest supermarkets were in Newport Pagnell - Somerfield & Coop. When we unpacked, we found one of our beds was unusable - but found a big Tesco about 25 mins away that stayed open late.
Kids didn't want to leave, & begged to stay another day. Says it all really.

Lovely site - friendly staff. Weather was atrocious but had a good first trip with my family and friends. Shower block was kept very clean, washing up facilities were very good and the shower area was heated. Nice site - very clean - plenty of fishing. Would thoroughly recommend this site and will certainly be going back for another visit.

Have just spent an enjoyable first camping trip at this site. Weather was rainy but we had an excellent time. Toilets were good for what we needed and it was nice to have somewhere to wash up. Even though it was wet and muddy the toilets were cleaned regularly. Lots of wildlife to see and children caught loads of fish. Will certainly visit this site again.

Just returned from 2 nights away at Emberton. The pitches are fantastic - we were with a group of 6 tents in total and due to the poor weather leading up to the weekend a number of people had cancelled at the site so we were lucky enough to have a whole 'avenue' to ourselves. Even with a busy site, I'd imagine you'd have more than enough space. The only criticism we have is that the toilets were pretty dismal, as someone has already mentioned. As it was a bit wet and muddy underfoot, this got walked through into the ladies loos and showers. While the showers are free, the cublcles didn't give you anywhere to store your clothes while you showered so you had to make sure you didn't splash around too much. Apart from that it was well maintained and we'd go again as they seemed more than happy to accomodate a large group.

4 nights over Easter hols with perfect weather, plenty of room, pitch size more then enough (we had no ehu) children loved the parks, loads of field space for running and playing picnicking etc, husband fished lakes, but no big catches
Had a lovely stay, would stay again as it is our local site and has loads of open countryside to explore, it feels very non commercial, which I love, kids get to run free and play outdoors with out constant 'i wants' from games rooms and extras.
Easy walking distance to Olney so groceries easy to collect. Being Easter break, site became full, and shower/toilet facilities in my opinion are not big enough for the site, nor well designed! Which is my only niggle. 3 shower cubicles in the ladies became grubby fast, constant queues for them in the morning due to demand, and no dry area to change in, or shelving to place items on, no baby change table, seats for toddlers, floors were soaking wet so storage for towels. Clothing etc became tricky while managing 2 children and your dignity!
Family friendly, ideal for children & groups, very sociable

A great site in acres of nice grounds, ideal for dog walkers. Facilities were modern, but at times could do with more regular cleaning. The site staff were very friendly and the site was laid-back and easy-going. Ideal stop-off on M1. The town of Olney is just a 10 minute walk away and has loads of shops and nice pubs. There were several large families / groups having a drink and a good time, but were in no way rowdy and did not keep campers awake after about 10.30. Recommended.

We went here for the weekend to try out our newly acquired caravan. Loads of space and lots of stuff for the kids to do. Lovely play areas, with playground equipment, climbing frames etc. Toilets and showers could be better, but didn't overly effect us, as we have our own. Nice site if you want the countryside, lakes and general peace and quiet, there's always space to find it here. Good for a weekend, may try longer with the grandkids during school holidays.

Having just purchased our trailer tent we picked Emberton to give it a go. We could not have picked a better place for a first time outing. The setting is beautiful and the staff very helpful. The shower block and toilets were spotless and very warm. We have two small dogs Jack and Russell (yes they are Jack Russells!) who loved being taken for walks around the lakes and treated to Fish and Chips from the local village of Olney which is only a short walk. We have decided to return again at the end of the month for a longer stay.
