Excellent site, great facilities which were clean and all working. One slight distraction was a slightly noisy local road that ran past the site. However I would definitely visit again so it shows how noisy it really was. 100%

As all the previous reviews have said what an excellent site.
Pitches are a good size and well spaced out, toilet block spotless and modern, location in the middle of Devon so easy to visit places.
Some nice touches like grass is collected on mowing so you don't carry any into your unit, squeegee, mop, toilet brushes and cloths on sink so you can tidy up after you've used facilities. Information room with all what's going on in the area and beyond, charging facilities for mobiles etc. If off EHU and free range eggs.
Lovely to see the effort and investment Tim & Rebecca have put in to site lots of trees been planted and landscaping done.

This is probably one of the best sites we have visited. The facilities are faultless and the welcome we received was so friendly and welcoming it was wonderful. It was such a quiet and relaxing location and so worth a visit. The pitches are a lovely size and well spread out with beautiful views all round. We will definitely be returning at the first opportunity 10 out of 10 from us.

As previous reviews a lovely site. We stayed for Christmas and were the only ones on site. The winds were exceptionally strong and we had been sited at the bottom of the field and were well sheltered.
Things that make this site stand out above others for us:-
Level pitch on hard standing; pull on, legs down, no faffing with levelling.
Well drained - at the bottom of the field in torrential rain and no puddles.
Excellent tv reception - a must with the weather being atrocious.
Excellent free wi-if. No annoying adverts popping up!
Warm ablutions with lights on sensors as you approach (came on from quite a distance away).
Minimal light pollution for star gazing.
Quiet - heard owls every night.
Beautiful scenery.
Due to the weather we didn't do the hiking we had planned but there was plenty to do and see even at this time of year. We visited Dartmouth, Bude, Bideford, all within a reasonable distance and driving through beautiful countryside.

A lovely campsite second to none, with a lovely view over the country side. Each pitch has a drinking water tap at the back of the electrical plug in, oh what a bonus. The toilet and showers are exceptionally clean, the disabled and family toilet and shower has plenty of space and everything to make life easier for those needing to use it. There is a good food preparation and wash up area, also exceptionally clean. Down by the lake is a place to sit and have a campfire what a lovely idea and a place to enjoy other campers company. If you go down the road from the campsite there is a butchers and a small Spar but if you go into Okehampton there is three supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. There are also beaches about 40 minutes away and plenty of other places to go things to see and do, information on all available on site in the information room. The owners Tim and Rebecca work hard to keep this site in excellent condition, they are a friendly welcoming couple, always cheerful and at hand if needed. Would we return again, oh most definitely, all we can say is give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
Tim and Rebecca what a lovely well planned site you have. We had a wonderful stay and we will be back time and time again thank you.

I am writing this and posting using appldores free wifi. A more manicured and site with clean and tidy facilities you will struggle to find. I am only stopping 1 night on the way to Cornwall but would stop longer again. Nothing for the children to do but they can run round outside and play games with out any dangers or getting lost. The owners live in the cottage on site and are very friendly showing you to your area and giving a choice of pitches. The wash rooms are clean and modern like you might find in a spa. Peaceful and quiet.

What a fantastic location for your stay in devon and just off the main road. Owners very welcoming and with us camping { tent} with 2 dogs it was made very easy with Rebecca & Tims pre sent touring pack sent to us before. The site is very pet friendly and the dog area a real bonus. So clean all round the site and toilets very impressive. The views from the wonderfully lawned area's are stunning. Very relaxing and as we are still here for week its perfect.

We stayed at this campsite in June. We had a wonderful time at a brilliant campsite. The facilities are really clean and tidy, they have an open section for washing the dishes It is a very quite site but not far from the village of Oakehampton and has some lovely pubs nearby (you will need a car for all these or a bike as they are not in walking distance). My husband and I spent much of the time fishing in the lake which we were able to use whenever we wished. We went with my sister in law and her husband and they also enjoyed the site. We would definitely visit again. We also visited the most unusual pub in Britain - The Highwayman Inn and also Lydford Gorge, we cycled the old train line The Granite Way. Also the tourist information centre in Okehampton was really helpful and informative great place to visit

A lovely location, excellent facilities, free wifi, friendly greeting, it had the makings of a good stay BUT there was a problem.
The owners dog is kennelled outside overnight near the camp site and started barking at 4am. He was still barking at 7am.
A very disturbed night unfortunately spoiling out stay

Upon arrival the wardens were very helpful and welcoming which is a good start. After signing in the warden showed us to our pitch wow what a view the little man made lake and even ducks that had just had a family of 11 ducklings swimming around and around. Green fields and birds chirping made us feel relaxed on day one. Toilet block was very nice under floor heating and motion sensor showers. Nice new building clean and tidy. Every electric hook up point had a drinking water tap on the back very good point no lugging water for miles. Tv reception was excellent and free wifi but phone signal a bit hit and miss. But saying that it was nice not to hear it ring every 2 mins. Only 2 miles from little town of okehamption but it does have 3 supermarkets one being lidl, local bus service was very good. So if you want to get out and about without driving you can. Also okehamption had takeaways if you don't fancy cooking. This is the place to go away to get peace and quiet only 10 mins off the A30, so giving you easy access to both Devon and Cornwall. The owners Tim and Rebecca are 2nd to none they go out of their way to make sure your stay is stress free, and any needs that you want they are there to help. Had a fantastic feww days and will be going back.
