A superb little caravan & camping site, very friendly, easy access for vans etc.
Great area for walking, Shap village has a very good shop and an award winning chippie just a short drive away.
Thoroughly enjoyed a short break at his site.

This is a lovely little site near Shap, in the countryside. Easy to access from the M6 but no road noise here.
Plenty of space and enough key facilities as we don't need a shower block. Nice owners and good value.
The field is surrounded by trees and there are views and walks nearby. We hope to return.

My wife and I have just spent a wonderfully bank holiday weekend at Croft house and it was really relaxing. If you need any local advice the young couple who run the place are always there to give you the advice you need. The site is central to most parts of the lakes and is family and pet friendly, thanks you 2 for a smashing,
Mary and ernie honda acty.

Just returned from a weekend at this site. Really peaceful site with great views, in a lovely quiet location; also great walking in the area.
Nice flat field with plenty of space.
Very clean toilet facilities, with hot water/soap/hand lotion/towel provided.
Local tourist information/book exchange also available.
The owners are planning to introduce improvements as time progresses, so things can only get better.
Ideal stop off for those camping on the coast to coast. Friendly welcome from Corinne who was more than happy to provide advice.
Will be looking forward to returning in the future.

With New Owners from earlier this year, Corinne and John
Lovely tranquil location with fantastic views, We had a wonderful welcome from the owners and found them very helpful everyday we stayed, they gave us local information such as walks, where to eat ( nicest fish and chips we’ve had in a long time). We picked this site for it’s location as we wanted to Walk around Hawes Water and over the Old Corpse Road into Shap, in all it was about 19 mile but a It’s a great walk, Corinne even came out the night before with her iPad to give us the latest weather.
Facilities, there is one clean toilet, Elsan point and EHU
Good to get to, It takes 10 minutes from Junction 39 of the M6 and it’s about 4 mile. The road from Shap to Rosgill has a narrow section of about 100 metres, still about 4 metres wide, just use a little caution looking out for oncoming traffic.
Anyone walking the coast to coast route, this site is ideal. We had a lovely stay Thank you
