A very nice clean site with good facilities, only thing that spoilt it was the arrival of the twin axles van kids and dogs from the travelling community that were given access, this changed the whole feel of the site. Would rate as as ten on my arrival but would have to be assured of no re-occurrence if I were to return
It was a great displeasure to see children swinging from the trees in blossom and animals not being cleaned up after, spoilt my bank holiday.

Nice site, nice layout, ruined weekend due to the families of travelers allowed onto the site, loud, disruptive, lorrys coming and going, dog mess and children swinging on the lovely trees in blossom.
Worse part for me was the warden when asked, confirmed they had no policy to prevent 'Commercial vehicles' and therefore all were welcome.
So our Bank holiday weekend ruined.
Site deserves a ranking of 9 but with our experience and Warden's comments, would not recomnend to anyone.

Just back from 4 day visit to this site.
This site is a great reason to continue avoiding CC main sites.
A minimum sign common sense site and such a pleasure to stay at.
A great touring base and although close to the M2 it is one of the quietest sites we have stayed at.
One tip for travelling to site is to not to use A251 Ashford road to access site.
When coming off M2 at J6 go towards Faversham onto A2, then turn off A2 onto Brogdale Road to Painters Forstal.
We went from A251 down Porters Lane using sat nav and our 2m wide caravan was touching the hedge both sides in places.
Oncoming cars were very, very surprised to see us.

Just back from a great long weekend here after a club meeting was cancelled at Abbey School. What a gem of a site. The grass is lush and green and well kept, and we pitched in amongst the cherry trees.
The site is tucked away at the end of a single track road, but easily accessible. The weather was brilliant lovely sunshine. Used the elec hook-up for the duration.
The warden was brilliant with no rush to pack up on the last day. It is a lovely and quiet place and the toilet and showers were spotless. Hot water cost's 20p and 40p for about 5-6 minutes.
Faversham town is only two miles away with a busy town centre with a market [lots of dogs about] and supermarkets.
The site rules were displayed clearly but not overly enforced. Our German Shepard dog trotted around off lead around our pitch also used the dog walking path which is about half mile long.

We spent a very happy week here in October. Our abiding memory is one of friendliness and relaxation. The site is well sited for this beautiful part of Kent and great value for money. The facilities are very clean and are serviced with great attention to detail, but most of all we were impressed with the warden, who was kind and helpful to a fault. She helped us with our washing and tumble drying and kept the facilities spotlessly clean.
We can highly recommend this site - great value, great service, very relaxing and a superb location.

We spent 2 nights at this site, which is in a lovely setting with beautiful old farmhouse next door. Everything was neat and clean in spite of the wetness of the ground - they have struggled to keep the grass cut but have done their best. It is nice and level. The sound of the motorway is quite intrusive when you are outside.
We didn't try the pub. We found the co-op in Faversham easily but Tesco and Morrisons are hard to find. Faversham town centre is lovely. There were no children on site when we were there and nowhere specific for them to play.
Must admit the hot water policy annoys the socks off us. We camp in a tiny 12-year-old motorhome and need to use the site facilities - we paid for electric hookup to keep us warm. How can it be considered fair that we pay the same as the huge vans which may cost £40k and have onboard showers, microwaves, hot water systems, flushing toilets, TVs etc run on the hookup, but we have to pay extra for hot water to wash ourselves?? We are resigned to often paying for showers (though the ladies' at 40p is a bit steep) but to keep having to put in 10p every time you want to wash your hands is not on. The hot water system is hopeless anyway, small sprays in washbasins and no more than a trickle in the washing up sinks where you'd need about £1 in 10p coins to get enough. So we had the inconvenience of having to carry kettles full of hot water across the site, and somehow feeling guilty about it. It may seem petty but we'd feel happier about everyone paying £1 more a night than this annoyance.
So we think this site is OK at this price for people with vans with their own sinks etc. But not for more basic campers.

We love this site. It is perfect for a short break as it's not too far to travel. On the practical side the toilet block is very clean and well maintained, the loos were updated last year. There are 2 showers in the ladies which are clean and work well. You need a 20p coin to operate them and that gives you enough time for a decent shower. Lorraine the site manager is very friendly and helpful. She goes the extra mile to help out if you need it. The site itself is tranquil with grassy pitches and plenty of well established fruit trees. There are plenty of places to go for walks. The village itself is very quiet and has a children's playground about a 3 minute walk from the site. There is a lovely pub opposite which serves pub grub - straight forward and reasonable priced with a small garden and they don't mind children. Our three kids aged 4, 8 and 10 love this site too. There is loads of space for them to run around and they love riding their bikes up and down the path. There are trees in the far corner which are great for building camps under. Personally we are glad there is nothing for them to play on as it means they group together themselves or with other site children to make their own entertainment which is what being a child is all about isn't it? Although there is no village shop, the Brogdale centre (5minute drive) is great for homemade sausages, locally brewed beers, special bread and fresh veg. There is a little train which they run on weekends and holidays which is fun too. Faversham has a nice town centre and all major supermarkets are available. The seaside is just a short drive away too with Whistable and Herne Bay just a 15-20 min drive. Can't wait to get back there this weekend for the bank hol.

Just back from a great weekend here after meeting up with friends. What a gem of a site. The grass is lush and green and well kept, and we pitched in amongst the cherry trees.
The site is tucked away at the end of a single track road, but easily accessible. The weather could have been kinder but you can't do much about that.
Fortunately the ground is well drained so not too much mud when wet. It is a lovely and quiet place and the toilet and showers were spotless. Hot water cost's 20p and 40p for about 5-6 minutes.
The washing up room is well stocked with cloths, and there was even soap powder for the washing machine, which was coin controlled. Lorraine, the site manager is so helpful and so friendly.
Faversham town is only two miles away with a busy town centre and supermarket. Just down the road is Brogdale farm, with a little market area of specialist shops, and home to the National collections of fruit.
All in all a 'perfick just perfick'' place to stay.

Just back from an overnight stay at Painter's Farm having intended to stay nearby at a site which proved just too badly signed for us to find at all.
As has been said previously, the site is in an orchard, surrounded by further orchards, and in a pretty village not far from the national fruit farm at Brogdale. Very pretty! The site is flat and grassy, very well looked after and the toilet and shower block were clean and more than adequate for us with the only tent on the field of ten or so caravans.
We didn't have to pay for a shower and the site rules were displayed clearly but not overly enforced. The dogs trotted around off lead around their owners' pitches but these were so far apart for it not to matter. The site manager was extremely helpful and very friendly.
There were no children here when we visited - bliss!
Overall, a fantastic little site for adults who enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, long countryside walks and good pubs serving locally sourced food.

Nice site set in a lovely location.
Site wardens were very nice and helpful.
Site reminds me of sites we visited as kids not much has changed in years toilet blocks are old fashioned but usable felt very nostalgic there.
Nice pub across the road (the Alma) does a great traditional roast.
Surrounding area worth a visit Faversham, Whitstable, Canterbury all a short car journey away. And the site is dog friendly. Will be going back
