My wife and are new to caravaning but we stayed on the site for 2 days. We must say it was so peaceful, the site and the toilets were clean and everyone is so friendly. We were able to get to the supermarkets which were only a 10 min drive away with no problems at all. Also taking our little dog with us was great, there was no charge for him, and the dog walk was clean and a pleasure to walk. What made us happy was that after telling maria that my wife has back troubles she put us near to everything that we needed. We will be going back b4 the season ends and also looking forward to next year.

In agreement with all the comments below, a lovely site, very idyllic and clean. Great location to explore the surrounding countryside. We were at the very back of the site and could hear the motorway all through the night which was mildly disturbing.
Site warden was accommodating but we were met with a list of rules of the campsite which was a little unwelcoming. Reason probably being because we had quite a few children in our party and there were no ball games, no frisbees, no kite flying, no tree climbing. I can understand the reasoning as it is not a huge site and if I had read here beforehand would have been aware that it wasn't overly child friendly. Its a bit of a mission to get 6 kids between the ages of 3 and 10 to just sit round the campfire all night and not want to play. I think they would be better off making it an adult only site.
The 20p for the showers was not a problem, you got plenty of time for your money and they were hot. The washing up situation was diabolical though. You got nothing for your 10p, it trickled out so slowly it would have taken hours to fill the sink and it was stone cold, I think I felt it luke warm for about 30 seconds. We quickly gave up using the utility room and just boiled pans of hot water up and washed up in a bowl. This was my only real gripe about the site as hot water is a basic facility for hygiene purposes, especially for hand washing after the toilet. With 6 kids there were many trips.

We stayed at the site for 3 nights, the site is a good size not too big, there are fruit trees scattered around the site, main cherries, so during the summer months there is a lot of bird activity, we we liked.
The lady who is standing in for the owner this year was very helpful and also very nice, the showers and toilet block were very clean, as you may of read about the coin slots for the showers mostly negative I add but I thought it was a good idea as they were always empty.
I know there is not a lot in local area except the pub, which was great for meals. You could also get some supplies from the pub also. We personally loved the site and will be going back very soon

Arrived at the farm at about 11.30 where Lorraine showed us to our pitch and was very helpful as this was only our 2nd outing in our motorhome. Within about half an hour we were set up and drinking coffee. The farm was flat and very peaceful(maybe a little too peaceful for my wife).
Toilets and showers very clean. The site is situated amongst some very nice tasting plum trees. At about 2 o'clock we asked Lorraine how long it would take us to walk to the nearest shop and she said about 50 mins.It was only tabasco sauce that we had forgotten and she said we could have hers (nice gesture).
So instead of walking to the shop we walked to the Alma pub instead a much better idea I thought. The wife had diet coke and I had a nice pint of dark mild. We sat in the beer garden and watched the chickens running around.
In the evening we sat outside the motorhome with a couple of beers and a drop of vodka and watched the sunset over the orchard.
The next morning Lorraine came over to us to see if we wanted anything at the supermarket. We have now purchased a seasonal tourer but if we ever went travelling again would pay this great little site another visit.

Spent a night here on a checkout run with our camper.
Very nice, level site, attractive amongst the fruit trees. Although only a couple of miles from the town it feels in the middle of the countryside. Friendly and helpful warden who made sure we were happy with our pitch.
As noted in other reviews, the showers require 20p, a common occurrence on other sites.
The downside for us was the need for many 10p to obtain hot water for personal washing and dishes. The amount of hot water obtained for 10p was not really adequate for washing up after an evening meal for just two people and was very, very slow running.
In comparison with many other sites that we have visited, we felt that the £15 charge should have covered hot water for washing and washing up.
Pity, as it detracts from an otherwise lovely site

Lovely site. Very easy to get to from M2. This was only our second trip with a big van and we managed! We accessed the site up a steepish hill but there seemed to be an alternative route should this concern you (give site a call to check). Petrol station nearby on A2 - sells LPG too. Quiet, very relaxing and chilled out. Site is by a pretty farm house, set in orchards. There were hardly any children there at the time. The children's play area was opposite a lovely little pub (The Alma) within walking distance (5 mins). Friendly owner - very relaxed and helpful. We had a problem with our van which delayed us (then bad traffic!). We called and the owner was very accommodating. Showers 20p - got ample time (had time left in fact and I usually take ages!) and water temp was great. Showers/toilets very clean. Would defo return to this site and recommend it for a chilled, relaxing break.

The site is quite near the motorway so it's easy to reach from London but far enough from the M3 that you don't actually hear it.
The local pub, The Alma, is brilliant with friendly staff ad regulars and excellent beer (Shepherd Neame) and food available.
The site itself is small and peaceful but very well run and tidy (the showers and toilets were spotless). The price for a tent is very good value for money.
I would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely relaxed site, and Lorraine is so kind and very much in control of this beautiful little site amid the orchards. Ideal stop over for the channel ports. Toilets are clean and functional and continually being upgraded. Plenty of 20ps needed for water though. Stayed here many times in the past but this year have had opportunity to visit several times already to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside it's hard to believe the close proximity to the M2. Play area within walking distance, and the pretty Alma Pub is just across the road. The site would benefit from a small area set aside for kiddies to play, although having said that our three daughters and their families have joined us here with Outwell humongous tents and one with a caravan. With the eight grandchildren ranging from ten to three months we totalled 16. Had a smashing time.
The City of Canterbury is not far, and the many beaches in this part of the south east are within driving distance. The Market town of Faversham is ideal for shopping, or further afield you have the towns of Whitstable and Herne Bay served by the big 24 hour supermarkets. We will definitely be back.

Super site Lorraine the Warden very nice. Good facilities (very clean and paying for showers means not waiting ages) and plenty of hookups really enjoyed our stay will be back soon if we can fit it in. Well sign posted and very easy to find. Toilet block big enough to get my disabled scooter in so even though no disabled facilities I did ok better than and the washrooms are being refitted this year so next year even better.

A lovely site surrounded by orchards with level pitches. Facilities are basic but adequate and you need 20p's for the showers and 10p's for hot water for the basins and washing up. We spent 4 nights here and although the site is small, it never got crowded and was the quietest site we've stayed on for a long time - excellent if you like undisturbed sleep! For this reason the site probably wouldn't suit lively groups or families with older children. Just a few yards up the road from the site is a small children's playground with swings, roundabout, basketball hoop etc. Across the road from this is the Alma pub which you MUST visit! At present it's a Shepherd Neame pub so Masterbrew and Spitfire were available, as well as bottled ciders. We had a lunch and a dinner here and the food and service was superb. There is an enclosed garden with a climbing frame for the kids, though you are welcome to take children inside.
There is no shop in the village so if you need any supplies you have to drive to Faversham which is about 2km away. However on the upside there is a cider farm in the village where you can go and buy cider and apple juice 'from the door'.
Whilst staying here we visited Wingham Wildlife Park which is east of Canterbury which was very enjoyable - a bit run down in parts but very entertaining for kids with all the usual animals and a huge playground suitable for all ages. There are also indoor and outdoor swimming pools in Faversham.
