I am a novice camper, as this campsite was fairly nearby to my home, I thought this ticked all the boxes and would do nicely.
I can only echo what fellow reviewers have put, that the facilities are perfectly acceptable - however, the 'party buses' are not! Security on the site is non-existent; the police were called out on two consecutive nights. Mainly due to adults with(out) children becoming belligerent, abusive, and generally being a nuisance - alcohol induced. Despite assurances that this would cease, the Management did not address the problem adequately.
My advice is if you want to visit Woodall Spa, then I would respectfully suggest that this site is not for the faint hearted or those, seeking a relaxing, aggravation-free break!

We had a long chat about this site on the way home in the car. The youngest (7 years old) absolutely loved it. She loved the adjacent pool, with two free swims per day. She loved the play park, and she loved that she was able to head to the loo on her own, with no roads or cars to worry about. Oldest child (10) loved it too for all the reasons above. Both adults also loved the facilities. Loos and showers were cleaned first thing (7am), unlike other sites where until they wait until mid-morning, and then cleaned again throughout the day. There were never queues even thought the site was completely full on two of our 4 nights.
There was however one major failing. This site seems keen to encourage large groups, some of 4, 5 or 6 units. Many of these groups put up walls of windbreaks and partied until the early hours. Our first night was just generally noisy and there were a couple of groups keeping us awake until gone midnight. We were told that across the other side of the site police were called to an altercation that we weren't aware of at the time. There was no on site warden available on this night. But this was nothing to the 2nd night (Friday). The adjacent couple of pitches to us had a group of around 12-15 adults (no kids), all over 40 years old. They drank and shouted until gone 2am. Several people, including me and my wife asked them to be quiet, but all were met with mockery and arrogance. There was a site warden and he spoke to them at around 11pm. He returned a little later, but rather than asking them to be quiet, he joined them for a drink. He was not seen again, and the published phone number for help only went to voice-mail. I called the police shortly after midnight when the language became utterly appalling. Twice we had to comfort the kids who were distressed and scared. Other commitments prevented the police from attending but they contacted the site management the next day.
The third night was fine, the site fell quite well before 11pm.
The fourth night was bad again. Another group, this time 4 large tents, a sound system, alcohol and a complete lack of consideration for others. More distressed children and no sign of the site warden. Only rain just after midnight brought things to a close. Who knows what how long they would have continued for.
In short, a fantastic site with great facilities, in a great location. However, it can only be recommended if you are one of the groups that will be annoying the rest of the site. If the security were to be improved and the groups kept under control if would be a really great site.

Stayed in the tent field and was positioned in a back corner about as far from the toilet block as was possible. It wasn't too far and was worth it when we got there - spacious shower cubicles with constant hot water at an adjustable temperature, 4 hooks and a bench included. Facilities were kept clean. Busy weekend but hardly saw anyone in there at all!
Being in a corner we were a bit cramped (thank goodness we weren't in our bigger tent) but apart from that and a road behind our pitch we were quite happy - though my husband didn't like the lack of security features - it's a bit like camping in your local public park.
The park was close by for our children and as usual our daughter made friends with other children. The swimming pool was amazing. It was kept at a lovely temperature and the life guards were attentive. My 2 children attended two sessions. The first was a general swimming session which was free (allowed two sessions free per pitch per night) and the second was a children's only inflatable session. For this the charge was £4 per child (over 8s only I think) and they started the session with a swim test. This involved swimming right around the inflatable including ducking under some ropes. Probably about a 40-50m swim.
There were no queues for the pool at this time of year despite the weather being rather nice.
There were other things to do on the park such as pitch and put, tennis, table tennis and croquet but we didn't do any of these.
The park is really well placed to enjoy Woodhall Spa and we didn't actually use the car for the entire weekend. The shops, restaurants and takeaways (including fish and chips) are just a pleasant 10 mins walk away. The Kinema in the woods is also close by. If you fancy something a bit posher then The Petwood Hotel is just across the road and has a lovely outside terrace and grounds that are open to the public.
This campsite was only let down by one thing - I was kept awake on the Friday night by a couple of very drunk blokes who were very loud and swearing. (Thank goodness my children slept through it) They finally collapsed into bed at 2. 10am but as quiet time was 10pm I was disappointed to say the least that their behaviour was not tackled. Surprise surprise they were still comatose at 9am when everyone else was enjoying breakfast - not for long though as my son accidentally 'got lost' on the way to the bins and sort of ended up right by their tent with his rustly carrier bag and some really loud comments regarding the 'lost' bin. Ha. Revenge is sweet! Luckily they were only booked in for one night and on Saturday night we all slept like logs.
In general this was definitely the noisiest site we've ever been to with some large groups but now I know what to expect we would probably go again.

Not a bad site new toilet block was nice and warm with plenty of hot water. Very close to village centre plenty of shops and restaurants to chose from, large Budgens supermarket short drive away. Only gripe we have was there was a fault on the electric main fuses and we were unable to use our heater nobody seemed to be bothered to get it fixed and some of the families had very young children, we had reported a fault on the EHU on arrival it showed intermittent reversed polarity. Dont think I would go back there are plenty of better sites than this. Ooh yes there was also the shotgun bird scarer that started at 5am every day!

We have stayed in the park 3 times this year. Last year we visited the Petwood campsite (next door) but found that you got two free swims per day if you stay on Jubilee Park. We worked out that with the site being cheaper and with the free swims we were easily saving £10 per day!
We really enjoyed all of our stays including staying for £10 a night in September (practically staying for free with the swimming). Swimming was only until 8th of September. Kids loved the midnight swim and we will be back next year!
The wife says it was very clean as far as campsites go as well!

Very good location, short walk from the village centre but quiet on site. Spacious pitches on level ground, none too far from the newly refurbished amenities block. Not too expensive either. Nice playground very close by, and my stay included two free swims in the on site heated outdoor pool. Café open during the day. There is a lot to do in the village, and plenty of places to eat in or get a takeaway. I'll definitely keep it on my list of favourites.

Went for the weekend en famille. Had seen the campsite in cool camping and the children decided that they wanted to go.
So, it was freezing cold all weekend - could hardly blame the site for that.
It is a strange site - camping in the middle of a municipal park. It seems to work though. Swimming pool was OK, as it was so cold it didn't see much action. Plenty of activity on site but all at a cost.
Very child friendly, took our dogs - in all very pleasant.
Not sure I would return simply because we like countryside and this didn't feel like we were out in the country.
Facilities were very modern and spotlessly clean.

Had the pleasure of visiting this campsite before. Woodhall is a great village with plenty of shops of all kinds, restaurants, takeaways, cafes, and tearooms, a real foodies heaven. There are things to do also, a great cinema for rainy days, local museums, namely battle of Britain etc and wonderful cycle paths, all close to campsite.
Right jubilee park itself, never had too much reason myself to complain and my last visit was no exception. They have had a new play park installed thou old one was very popular, real bonus if a campsite as one!
Site level with grass pitches, plenty of trees, but most pitches aren't under them. This year the toilet block has had a revamp and what a great difference it's made, clean, modern, warm, large showers, and baby change all you would need. Old shower block was the weak point of jubilee, now the icing on the cake. The open air swimming pool, which was brand new last year, beautiful pool warm and great fun for our two girls.
This site as made lots of improvements lately, so I see no reason not to return yearly.

We stayed on the main field of this site over the weekend and had a lovely time. The pitches are clearly marked with EHU and are on nice flat well tended ground which was ideal for our large (9 man) tent.
Access to the heated outdoor swimming pool is free to campers once per day and appears to be the local pool for Woodhall Spa with lots of people setting up on the grassed area’s around the pool with cool boxes and picnic blankets. Despite this the pool didn’t seem over-crowded and our children had a great time.
The children’s play park surrounded by large grassed areas meant the children had a great time and were able to run off and play safely.
The toilet, shower and laundry facilities were functional and couldn’t really be faulted. We never had to queue to use them and I assume they must have fixed the issues with the water temperature mentioned in previous reviews as the water temperature was fine.
We didn’t venture into Woodhall Spa as we didn’t want to disturb the children from their new friends and as we were only there for the weekend and had came fully stocked didn’t have any reason to though it is only a 5 minute walk from the site.
A lovely site which we will be visiting again and that I’d happily recommend.

Just returned from our trip to wood hall spa, the site is easy to find and within waking distance of the small village. In the village there is a great pub, good food and the dog was welcome in the small bar. There is a cafe called just deserts where the owner makes his own ice cream, we tried marmite flavour, which was surprisingly ok. The chip shop is also good value and very busy. There is a lack of camping shop, but the hardware stores do stock some items, just be sure to take all your need with you. The weather was not great despite being in august but hey it's England. The outdoor swimming pool is warm and free for campers once a day. The showers are really hot and always clean, there is facilities to wash up etc at the shower block. The site is small which meant there was never a queue for the showers although there is only 3 male and 3 female. There are plenty of woods around to walk the dog off lead and there is a cinema in the woods. Our two children aged 13 and 11 loved the swimming and the play park. Overall we had a good trip and would return.
