Whilst a lovely site with the friendliest staff ever the touring pitches let us down, the tourer area is in woodland which is that dense its always dark, our nice clean awning and caravan came home covered in tree sap and large quantities of Wood Pigeon mess, there is no grass just sand which mixed with the constant fallout from the trees makes for messy carpets. You need a very very long hook up lead and don't expect tv  reception, well unless you like foreign stations which come in perfect but even with a top of the range aerial and booster tv reception was a joke, when we were there a lot of disappointed football fans.

This is a good site with reasonable facilities for the price.

As mentioned elsewhere the tent pitches are in a woods on top of a cliff/dune. It’s a nice view from the tent and combines a beach location with the charm of camping in the woods.

The woods keep you and your tent cool in the scorching sun but unfortunately it can make the bedding and tent damp. I recommend sticking your bedding in the car during the day, some people even ran the heater and aircon to "tumble-dry" the bedding.

Big, well spaced pitches, room for kids to play without disturbing others. The owners were really relaxed and friendly, you could pitch whereever you wanted. The sandy ground is soft and easy to pitch in but the sea breeze blows it all in your tent, groundsheets were very mucky compared to camping on grass.

The toilet block was about 2 minutes walk from the tents, some people took the car and kept a bucket for emergencies, but its really not that far to walk, just slightly inconvenient. They were cleaned daily but the floors were really muddy. There were taps, drains, and bins installed in the tent area.

Yes, the site overlooks Corton Naturist beach, but you have to climb over to the cliff edge to see it. We found it was mostly populated by ordinary families. The naturists and "guys seeking guys" stuck to one end, it wasn't a problem.

The pub at the site entrance is OK, but for food there are a couple of other good pubs in Corton.

There is a pool next door to the site which you can use for a small charge.

Overall, enjoyed a good break here and good value for money.

We stayed here over the August Bank Holiday and found the owners to be very friendly and the site to be in a pleasant woodland setting right next to the sea. The woodland did prove to be rather too dense and most of the camping pitches were in total shade and it suffered from being a bit too "gloomy"!
The toilet block was really nice and clean with excellent showers but it was a long walk to get to them as they are situated within the static caravan site next door to the camping site (3-5 minute walk away). The site is really close to Pleasure wood hills and a large TESCO store (5 minute drive) but this is the nearest shop which is a bit of a pain when you only want a pint of milk!

This is a nice site that is missing a trick or two. But there are some things you should know in addition to the other reviews. The site is coneniently located between Lowestioft and Gt.Yarmouth.

If heading north on the A12 to the site go around the back of Lowestoft via Oulton Broad to avoid traffic which snarls in the toqwn centre reliably throughout summer.

The shower / washblock does what it says on the tin. It is well maintained and cleaned regularly. However, they are 300 yards from the tent pitching area (Who need them most) and this is frankly too far. You find yourself planning a trip to the loo around brushing teeth or washing up. Not the end of the world but a pain all the same. Some campers resorted to driving to the loo!

The site OVERLOOKS the Corton Naturist beach. This is not a problem if you don't look or don't mind. But be aware that some of the 'naturists' are down there in full view of the site giving naturists a bad name and doing the things single men do when they get together sometimes!!! Again not an issue perhaps unless you have children or a sensitive disposition.

The owners are friendly and seem fairly laid back (So long as they get their money!).

There is indeed a very good pub with late opening right by the park entrance. This had good entertainment and reasonably priced food of varying quality.

There is No shop... the nearest is the Tesco about 5 minutes drive away which is a pain if you want a pint of milk (Missed trick number 1).

The actual pitching area is pretty but a bit like Mirkwood. I kept expecting to see Gollum pop up running away from Wargs! there has been no apparent maintenance to the trees since the dawn of time and as such virtually no sunlight gets through at all making the site a good 5 degrees lower in temperature. I spent the morning in TWO fleeces and then went and sat in my shorts on the beach.

The beach itself has a fair sized naturist area but this needn't be an issue unless you are seeking it. It is stony but there is sand enough to make castles / dig holes etc and the water is swimmable if not clear. There are NO facilities on the beach nor in the end of the campsite grounds that border onto it (Missed Trick Number 2).

Further down in the site, amongst the woodland proper there is a large clearing where an old concrete slab lays. This would be perfect for a communal campfire (BBQ?) and many have been held here. But the rules say no fires. Go figure. (Missed Trick number 3)

All in all, not a bad site, but could be lots better.

Nice site clean and friendly. Shower block serviced at regular intervals through out the day. Staff helpful, handy location for touring this part of the country. This is the second time this year we have used the site and will use again in the future.
