This site is fantatstic. I have visted it three times in the last two years and would deffenitly recommend it. The bar serves excellent food (worth the visit for the food). The drovers is not to far worth a look if you have never been there. Friendly helpful staff and clean toilets. Will be going back this year!

Lovely site with fantastic views and terrific facilities. There is nearby hills and walks to give you something to do. There is also a river which my family and I went swimming in, but be prepared for a shock! its FREEZING (but it's great to cool off in the summer!) The showers and toilets are immaculate and there is also a covered cooking area for protection from the elements. The well stocked shop sells almost everything you would need when camping (I found it a life-saver for the insect repellent and my midgie-net, which you will need because they are a nightmare!) The wig-wams look very cosy and clean and must be great during winter. They have mattresses, heating and lighting and are big enough for four. Highly recommended, so much so I am going back next week (Easter 2007) for another visit!

This is a fantastic site! It is mainly used by people walking the West Highland Way. Consequently, it has a wide range of nationalities visiting which makes you feel like you are abroad yourself! There is a really friendly atmosphere to the place and this is certainly helped by the fact that there is a pub on site and the Drovers is only a short walk away. There are some wooden Wigwams for hire if you fancy a change from your tent. We didn't stay in one but had a peek and they looked very cosy - plus I'm sure they were a refuge from the dreaded midgie! The only fault with this site is that on a weekend in mid summer it gets incredibly busy - to the point where if you pop out in your car you will never get it parked again!

This place has a real feel-good factor to it. When I was there, there were people of all ages and all nationalities - most seemed to be walkers from the West Highland Way which cuts right through the site. I was on a cycling tour of Western Scotland, and having cycled 30 miles in the pouring, relentless rain, this campsite was a saviour! The dry area was very well-used during my trip, as was the pub next door - the best pub in Scotland which served me hot choc fudge cake and pints and lifted my spirits! The camping area is flat and has lovely leafy trees and the occasional wandering sheep.

Superb site for walkers on the West Highland Way ( which is how I discovered it ). Good shop and facilities. Covered cooking and communal area and a new - in 2004 bistro for food and drink. If you can't manage the couple hundred yard dash to the Drovers for real mayhem, then the site bar is a good compromise. Separate car parking away from the tents gives you an undisturbed night. Recommended!

June 2003 Very nice site for campers... if it was not for the midges. The wet weather barn lets you cook whatever the elements, but why cook when possibly the best pub in the world is a short walk away?? Good food, great atmosphere and great beer before staggering back 2 your tent!. Several good hillwalks are closeby and this contributes to this being a busy site... just hope for a breeze.

July 2003 Good campsite, especially when you're walking the West Hoghland Way and have just come from a No Facilities campsite. Nice showers! :-) The shop was also handy because we did not have much food left. We spent the evening nearby in the Drover's Inn, where the atmosphere and food were good!

June 2003 Much improve since I was last there about 10 years ago! They now have a wet weather barn for cooking, drying etc (washing machines and tumble dryers) Site still has a basic feel to it but showers and small Bistro-type restaurant suggest otherwise. Left a rucsac there and almost a week laterit was still sitting in the same corner! £4.50 per person per night and midges come free! Top pub in Inveraran with more character than you could shake a lot of sticks at.
