August 02 The Woodland is beautiful very scenic, went looking for the badgers every night but didnt manage to see them! Only complaint I have about this site is the toilet facilities 2 loos 2 sinks and a shower in both the ladies and the gents, when we stayed there was a group of girl guides on the site so imagine trying to use the loos! I would recommend this site but only for a couple of nights we stayed for 5 nights and none of us would use the showers as they weren't very clean not sure if it was due to the amount of people using the site or if they didnt get cleaned on a regular basis? Also dont count on using the hot water to wash up, every time we went down to the sink there was no hot water left so in the end we gave up and boiled the kettle! I did like the site and if the facilities were seriously up-graded {ie more than one toilet block/better and cleaner showering facilities} I would think about going back. Recommend you call the site before you book to check if scouts or guides are staying the dates you want if they are you'll have the same probs as us!
