A great little campsite that is handy for the Marin Trail. No drama on arrival and a laid back sign saying pitch your tent and they will find you later for payment.
Good toilet block with excellent shower and clean toilets.
The highlight for us was the mountain bike storage which was excellent.
The lady who came round to collect the money and I assume is the owner is very pleasant.
It is a good 15-20 walk into Betws-y-coed and there is no pavement most of the way. That is the only slight downside. Also be aware that if you want to eat out in Betws-y-coed on a Friday or Saturday night then it is advisable to book in advance.
It is a site I would happily recommend to friends and one I will be using again the next time I want to ride the Marin Trail.

This ws my Wifes and children's first time camping and I wanted to take them to a nice clean quiet site - First impressions were great - the farm is in a nice quiet area - its surrounded by hills with trees and the River Conwy running behind. The field is really good condition - it was raining quite heavily and wasn't boggy.
The spots on the field are great with plenty of space - bad bits (if you can call them this) Hot water ran out but the site was very busy by the end of the Saturday night but you can expect this. Some noisy famillies were up and making noise until 2am but again cant blame the site themselves. No signs to Toilets and shower blocks.
Good bits - Mountain bike storage (Undercover), Childrens play area, Clean, tidy, great location - relaxed payment of fees (they come to you in the morning or at night), very fews midges etc, tidy rubbish area, very polite both on the phone and face to face. Access is good with good track leading in etc. We had a smashing weekend and will definitely be visiting the site again! Thanks!

I used this site while myself and a few friends went mountain biking at the near marin trial.
The site was clean and very good for camping, lovely views and quiet. The toilet and shower area was well kept and in the price of the camping.
The owners of the site were lovely and the lady who came to collect the payments not only was lovely, but also took the time to chat to us, which made us feel very welcome.
I went with a load of bikers, which is rare for a campsite to let a group of same sex campers without extra charges. But the site does have a childs playground which looked pretty good. Will definitely go to the site again, either with my daughter or riding.
Great Place.

First time visit and pleasantly pleased. Well kept site with beautiful views. Good flat and not so hard ground for pitching. Clean toilet and shower block. No extra charge for showers, included in the price £6/pppn. Utility room with washing machine, drier, telephone (chargeable) and freezer for ice blocks. Good clean washing up area apart from the insects but you shouldn't complain about them. Will make a return visit and recommended to friends and family.
One of the best basic sites we've visited.

We had been meaning to visit this site for some time now but with the Great British weather being what it is we have only just managed it. We stayed here a couple of weekends ago and I just wanted to say what a lovely little site! We are a family of three, me, my husband and 6 yr son and it was perfect for us! Our friends came with us who also have two children and because of the stream that runs through the site we had a very relaxing weekend! All the children staying on the site played for most of the day in that stream - it was fabulous for little ones!
The site itself is very simple - playground, stream, toilet block / showers! What more do you when camping! I would say though that the photographs on the web site don't do it justice. The farmhouse is beautiful and the site is very scenic!
Anyone with children looking for a reasonably priced site to just chill out then this is the place

I've stayed at this site on a number of occasions over the past couple of years. I keep going back because its a nice little site that just does what it says on the tin. There is no on site shop, the toilets and shower blocks are clean and functional, the pitches are in the main flat and its got a great little stream running through it that the kids like to play in during the evening after dinner, there's also a solid adventure playground available if required.
Betwys Coed is just down the road - I defy any outdoor loving person not to like that little village, you can lose yourself in the outdoor shops for hours then grab some chips to eat on the rocks next to the river then go for a riverside walk to get rid of the pounds afterwards.
During my last visit we visited the Syngun Copper mine which whilst being a little pricey was a good experience for the kids although the little guy was a bit frightened in the tunnels. Not helped by his big brother telling him it was the Mines of Moria and that Orcs were around every corner!
It got a bit wet and windy to say the least on the last night which made cooking problematical, a solution being a quick 20 minute drive over to Llandudno where the weather was so much better with a pit stop at McDonalds thrown in as well as a walk on the beach & Pier undertaken followed by a visit to the fair that was in town.
Upon our return the weather was still as bad and packing up was a miserable experience the next day but that's not the sites fault.
All in all if you are looking for a nice, quiet, fairly priced relaxed site in this area that hasn't got pretensions of being a Haven funpark give Cwmlanerch a try.

Such a wonderful campsite, very clean and tidy,no great slopes, field is virtually flat. Toilet block was immaculate, showers clean and water is very hot. Great washing up area. Owner collected payment the morning after we arrived. Excellent value for £6pppn, showers free. We intend returning here again, and we have recommended it to friends and family

I stayed at this site for the first time for a few days over the bank holiday weekend (end of May).
The camp site is in a really nice location next to a river, the toilets and showers are ok apart from two of the showers are out side, on the end of the the shower block (which is ok if the weathers warm I guess).
There is a play area on the site but I didn't let my son play on it as it didn't seen very well maintained and when it got wet was very slippery (could do with some work doing on it).
Shops are only about 2 miles away.

With the weather really good, I searched the net for a campsite near Betws y coed and this one sounded great. We arrived and found a good pitch on the main field and overall had a great time. The showers / toilets were very clean and the whole place had a good vibe and is great for kids. Highly recommended. Betws is only a short journey away but the road has no pavement for most of the distance so I would recommend driving, There are numerous outdoor pursuits within the locality and it made a great change from the site by the sea. Cwnllanerch is a great place to go.

Had a very nice stay on the camping field for 2 nights with our 4 year old and our dog. Very laid back site, nice and friendly, basic toilet block but clean and functional. Lots of families on the site, and 2 mins outside betws y coed which if you have not been is well worth a visit due to the outstanding beauty of the riverside and valley. Very good price and will definitely be going again.
