Just a short note to say what a great time was had over the May half term by my Son and I at Cornish Coasts. Yet again the site was immaculate at all times. Toilets and dish washing area always looked just cleaned! We had a a great time, my son making plenty of friends while there to keep him busy while I did the domestic chores!

We had some rough weather in the early part of the week week with some spectacular down pours but the site seemed to be unmoved - no doubt thanks to the land drains add a few years back.

As ever nothing was ever too much trouble for the owner and the team. Hope I can get back again soon!

We booked this site last minute for the final night of our 2 week honeymoon travelling round Cornwall and we wish we could have stayed a lot longer!

We have passed this site on many occasions as it is on the A39 but please don't let this put you off.

On arrival we were greeted by the owner Liz who gave us a choice of several pitches. The layout of the site is on several tiers. After choosing a pitch near the playground with a great view of the sea by Widemouth Bay our 21 month old ran off to explore the park. He was soon joined by the owners 2 lovely children who showed our little boy the swings and slides.

The toilet blocks were immaculate and smelt fresh - which is a welcome change from some sites! The showers were powerful, hot and free!

The washing up area was covered and again was spotless.

There were also laundry facilities which were reasonably priced.

There was a small shop however we did not need to use it so can't comment on it too much.

Nothing was too much trouble for Liz and we felt like old friends.

We hope to return here very soon and perhaps stay in one of the 4 static caravans they have on site.

We stayed at 8 sites in total and this was one of the only ones we would return too.

Thank you Liz & family for making us so welcome!

We very much enjoyed our stay here =) the toilets are always immaculate and the staff are always extremely helpful. The only thing letting it down was the location, but we knew this before arriving and were prepared to use the car, only if you do not have a car it may be a bit tricky, we would look forward to returning here and would recommend it to a friend. Thank you for making our holiday enjoyable

Fab Fab Fab! Weather was rubbish and the pitch did get very muddy but it'd have been the same where ever we had been.

The owners were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Always had a friendly smile and were so helpful.

The toilet block was immaculate all the time, even with the mud! I loved the fact I could go in the shower without a coin or having to keep pressing a button every 30 seconds, proper power showers!

Also enough room to take my little one in and shower him without me getting wet!

Great views from the site and really handy to get to Bude or beaches. The site is just off the main road and I was worried that the noise might be disturbing but it wasn't. The children had a great time in the play area and made friends.

Hopefully we'll be back next year but maybe we'll upgrade and book a caravan!

The BEST Campsite we have ever stayed on and we have stayed on loads.

Owners were lovely - beautiful tiered pitch with electric. SO nice to be shown to your pitch as well - such a personal touch The shop was so reasonable and well stocked.

The facilities were so clean. Our girls were treated like royalty and enjoyed playing with the children. We cannot more highly recommend this site more, in fact just about to get on to Camping Magazine to write to them about it.

Absolutely awesome - if you want a nice clean quiet family site with great views and amazing location then get booked up for next year.

We also visited the Milky Way and booked in advance and had an amazing day as well - we were so disappointed not to visit our favourite cafe/bistro in the area as well - River Life in Bude due to illness but will make it back there next year.

Just returned from this wonderful camp site. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. We have camped for many years and have never found one so clean and welcoming. We stayed as two families with 5 children between us.

The showers and toilets were kept so clean, although only two showers and three toilets (females) there was never a queue. It is not a large site and there are a few static vans on the top tier.

Although the weather had been bad leading up to our week and the land was wet, the pitches were well drained. There is a small play area for younger children with swings, slides, bikes and seating for parents, there is also a field for the older children to play football, cricket etc.

The site felt very safe. There is a small shop which held quite a good selection of items. Very well located for the lovely beaches nearby. The weather was amazing and the night sky was well worth staying up for.

There was no problem with late night noise, although you could hear the road in the day, it was very quiet. We received a welcome pack on arrival with lots of interesting things to do in the area.

We visited Clovelly, Boscastle and Lanhydrock (National Trust) which is one of the best National Trust properties we have ever seen, well worth the money.

Would definitely return to this campsite again.

As a group of not so young adults (anymore), we wanted somewhere clean, friendly, well located, as well as offering us a bit of privacy so as not to annoy the neighbours (too much) with our late night chatter.

We chose the area based on the surfing and beaches. Everything apart from the weather lived up to our expectations. (and even that was to be expected)

This place was fantastic we had everything we needed on site and more. The facilities are great, toilets and showers were always clean with plenty of hot water. The washing up facilities were perfect (two sinks and a rack) laundry room (I didn't personally use but people in our group used it to dry off wet clothes from the rain) and plugs and hairdryers (they take 20p or £1 coins)

We camped without electric but had a tap, good drainage and flat ground, with lots and lots of space to spread out, put a gazebo up and park the cars.

The on site shop had everything we needed, very well stocked and lots of fresh produce too.

The site is a little way out from Bude so if you are happy driving then it isn't too much bother but as a large group wanting to check out the pubs and very dodgy nightclub, make sure you book taxi's early. They are reasonable but they are in short supply. Lucky for us Karen was on hand to offer us a lift (3 runs backwards and forwards, we were a large group)

If we come back to Bude there is no question we will come back to this site. If they will have us!

From start to finish everyone at Cornish Coasts were friendly, helpful and flexible. It really was a home away from home and we would like to thank everyone there for making our stay so wonderful.

We had one week booked to stay at Cornish Coasts but were so wowed over by the fantastic views, wonderfully friendly and helpful owners and relaxed atmosphere of the site, that we asked to stay for another week, which we did.

This is a tiered site and the new owners have spent a lot of time and money improving the drainage to it – we had one day of continual heavy rain and there was no problem with pooling water at all. There are 4 static caravans at the top of the site, caravan and tent pitches with hook-up to the right, on the left is a large play area with swings, climbing frame, slide and Little Tikes climbing toyframe and slide, and separated from this by a hedge below this is a vast tent area.

The young owners have an excellent well-stocked shop which includes most things that you might forget or need, plus they also sell locally produced jams, chutneys and pasties (great if you arrive late and hungry – instant grub!) and have a license to sell alcohol too. There are also second-hand books to buy and you can hire out board games to keep the little ones amused. The shop also includes a Post Office too. The owners are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble, and they were absolutely great to chat to as well.

The toilet block is simple but extremely clean – whatever time we went to the block it looked like it had just been cleaned! Showers are very hot and powerful and there was room for me and 2 of my children to shower together in one of the gents showers. My other child, 2yr old daughter, loved the dolphin and fish toilet seats – they made her laugh out loud every time she saw them. There is a laundry area with washing machine and dryer, and the owners have also supplied a baby bath and bottle steriliser too. The washing-up area is indoors, and the owners have drying racks for plates and a little step so that the kids can help too – it’s the little touches like this that really made it a great site to stay at. Looking out of the window whilst drying-up and seeing the fantastic view of the sea, and the sun setting over the hills was extremely pleasant! Plus, as there is very little light pollution, the stars were amazing each night.

The site is by the side of the main A39, so you can hear slight traffic noise but the hedges on each tier help to soften this. The advantage to being on the side of the A39 is that you can access the local area very easily. We went to Widemouth Bay regularly to go body-boarding – a great expanse of sand and only a couple of miles away. Bude is a little bit further and is a lovely little town with great shops on the one-way road system (Zuma Jay was best for surfing stuff) and it also has a Morrisons supermarket and petrol station too (cheapest fuel we found). The Summerleaze beach here is very pleasant too, with a sea swimming pool which fascinated the kids (and Sainsbury’s is just at the top of the car park exit road if you fancy buying your picnic too). Come back from Bude via Widemouth Bay coastal road for some great views. Boscastle is close and Tintagel, with it’s ruined castle on the cliffs was a great day out (lots and lots of steps – park in the village opposite the Tourist Info (cheapest car park we saw) and walk down to the Castle via the steep path).

This was one of our best Summer holidays that we have had in the many years we have been camping and caravanning, and we are going to make this campsite a regular feature of our caravanning plans each year.

Well done to the owners – this site is a credit to you and we will definitely see you again soon.

We are a family with a teenager and have just spent six enjoyable days in a tent at Cornish Coasts. It was a last minute booking done without much research, but we were very impressed.

It’s a small tiered site, just off the A39 with lovely views over the country side and from some corners you can glimpse the sea in the distance. The young owners were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

The facilities are simple, but were always clean and immaculate with lots of hot water. There is a small shop for essentials, a Post Office, a small playground for young children and a few static caravans for rent.

During our stay it rained quite heavily, but the site did not become water-logged. We were told that the owners had greatly improved the drainage on the site to prevent past problems. There was a mixture of campers of all ages in tents and caravans, but at night noise wasn’t an issue.

This was our first visit to this part of Cornwall and the location of the site meant we were within reach of Wadebridge, Tintagel, Boscastle, Widemouth and Sandymouth. We had barbeques on the nearby beaches, marvelled at the coastline; watched the antics of the surfers; saw the most amazing sunsets and on a rainy day visited a curious, but interesting RAF museum near Davidstow.

Cornish Coasts is a lovely site in a in a fantastic part of Cornwall.

We went back for the second year running to Cornish Coasts. Despite the awful weather and constant mud that we had last year, we wanted to see if the drainage problems had improved and we liked the site and the owners

Well, true to their word, they had worked really hard during the winter months to improve the drainage. Whilst we didn't have the rain problems that we had last year, we did have a few spots and the ground did not get water logged, whereas last year it would have been a bog.

Owners are fantastic, they are extremely friendly. The site is always kept very clean. The hot water supplying the showers seemed to have improved and whilst, if someone else was using the other shower the water may initially go cold, it did not seem to get very hot like last year. They will open the shop at any time (within reason).

Will definitely be going back again.

Good places to visit are Crackington Haven - has a lovely pub and sunsets to die for and also Northcott Mouth Beach.

My husband took two of the children sea fishing which could be booked from Bude Tourist Information.
