I have to agree with everything that has been said before about this site. The camping section is quite a small proportion of the whole site (mainly statics) but this definitely didn't make us feel like 2nd Class citizens.
We have quite a big tent (8mx8m plus Canopy)and we still had plenty of space around us...and plenty of room for children to play football, cricket etc.
We found every member of staff was friendly and helpful - no metter what stange request we came up with (and we had a couple of them in our 2 weeks at Sun Valley!)
The only niggle and it is a very small one is that the childrens play equipment is at the other end of the site from the camping and the owners request that children are supervised at all times (rightly so). So don't expect to to be able to let children to go and play on their own there. The play area is on a steep slope but very well equipped with swings, climbing equipment, roundabouts etc). My children (6 & 8) really enjoyed playing on it.
We had such a great holiday here that we booked again for next year.

July 2004 Just returned from a week at this site. We have a large family tent and the site could easily accommodate it. No overcrowding & level pitches, Very friendly staff, toilet blocks (all ensuite were immaculate). Free use of pool. Electric hook up included in price. Definately recommend this really well maintained site. We will return!

June/July 2004 Excellent site, shop at reception open till 22.30, arcade room at entrance. Shower, toilet & sink in individual rooms, so no elbowing the person next to you at the sink. Pitches flat with hook up and in quiet corner of camp. Good sized clubhouse with small kids play room. Indoor pool that you can actually swim in before hitting the other end. Site is good for Heligan Gardens, Eden and lots of other places to visit. Very good restaurant about 10 minute drive in Gorran Haven called The Smugglers Inn. Book in advance as only small place and limited opening hours but food excellent. This is one site to recomend.

July 2003 I can fully recommend this site. We (my 2 friends and I plus 2 children each) spent a week there at the beginning of the summer holidays and even though we had a wet week we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is one site that believes in giving you space - there is no overcrowding here. There are individual shower rooms, each with shower, toilet and wash basin - which were always clean. (Numbers were ample in relation to the number of pitches). There are hot dishwashing facilities, laundry room, games room, 2 tennis courts (one small - great for youngsters), outdoor play area, indoor play & ball pool and a heated indoor swimming pool. A shop, bar, family area, restaurant & takeaway. Showers, dishwashing, swimming pool - all free. Even the electricity is included in the price. A super, slightly more select site, kept very clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to go back there again. Excellent!
