This was our 2nd visit to the site in a year. Its a really good quiet site well maintained. Prices very cheap it only cost £5 per tent per night (there were 4 of us). The facilities are very clean and the toilet door now as a lock! Feels very secure as it is tucked out of the way but is really easy to find if you follow the directions given. Really enjoyed our stay again and will DEFINITELY be going back again soon.

September 2005 This was our 1st trip to Blackpool for 15 years, and decided to camp at Greenacres. The site is a little difficult to find, but if you get instructions from Brenda you find can it. Greenacres is a small well run site with one of the nicest owners around, yes it is behind their house in what was a large back garden. We encounted no obstacles, the toilet was clean with plenty of toilet roll and soap with towel, the latch on the door was a bit tricky to work but we had no problems. Brenda is a mind of local information (even down to cheap rock) if ever we visit Blackpool again we will certainly go to this site.

August 2005 We arrived mid afternoon and received a warm welcome by Brenda and Keith. It was our first holiday in our new modern caravan. We intended to only stay one week and do the other week at the Lakes. We found the week was so laid back and we felt we could leave the caravan unlocked and knew it would be safe as Brenda and Keith were always pottering about. We stayed there for the 2 weeks and found Dexter the dog really loving. We had a couple of little problems with our van but keith was there to help thanks too him. We will be back there next year with out a doubt - truely lovely place and two great hosts. As far as price is concerned it was a very cheap holiday since we drove from the east coast, dont think you would get a cheaper holiday else were in england. Thanks Brenda and Keith for our truely lovely relaxed holiday. See you soon Mark, Dawn and Gabbie.

August 2005 Thoroughly pleasant stay! Not sure what the problem is with everyone not finding it, as we rang the campsite owner (Brenda) and she gave us SPOT-ON directions, we were there within 2mins of coming off the M55 , as sooo easy! A lovely warm welcome as soon as we arrived, extremely helpful with a nice peaceful area, unforunately there was no shower facilities but a toilet and wash basin are not far from anyone as its a small plot, but its probably more suited to caravan owners if your stay is over 1night. Also, not far from South Pier / Pleasure Beach within taxi range, not too expensive for the alcoholics in us..hic! Would just like to thank Greenacres for our quiet peaceful nights sleep and will be back! Tj and Carole x

September 2005 Well this campsite is situated in a back garden. Always ask for directions, I did after reading some of the reviews on here but if you phone and get directions you'll get there easy peasy. The camp itself is very very basic with only a toilet and a basin with cold water, the owners were absolutely lovely, they have started selling cheap drinks at really reasonable prices. I had a fantastic weekend, Morrisons is about 5/10 mins away in the car - went there for a lovely cooked brecky, they have a Macdonalds there too. This site is value for money as its really really cheap, cost me £10 to stay from Friday to Sunday as they say you get what you pay for.....

July 2005 We went at a weekend, it took us about half an hour to actualy find the place when we got to Blackpool as it is almost at the end of a drive that is hard to find. Before we left, we packed everything into the car in a rush, and we reached our destination we realised we ad forgotten our tent poles. HAHA. The lady who owns the campsite did us a great favour by ringing round campshops to try and find out prices for tent poles and when they shut. Sadly we had to get one from Morrisons for £11 which was very small. But the weekend turned out ok. Because the campsite was in their back garden, i felt very secure because it was fenced off. My only complaints are the fact that there were quite a few obstacles in their garden that we had to drive around and the fact that I had to go to the local supermarket to go to the toilet because the toilet door didn't lock, but my partner didn't mind this fact and he says they were very clean and well maintained.

June 2005 We have just returned from 3 days at Greenacres. Brenda and Keith great you with a big welcome smile when you arrive and are always about to offer help. It was our first time out with our Montana 6 and people came to help us to put it up and offer cups of tea. The bathroom is clean and there is plenty of water. We particularly like the tall hedge which gave very good protection against the wind. The pitch was flat and the grass was nice and soft. Our dogs were also very welcome. We look forward to going back. GET DIRECTIONS FROM BRENDA BEFORE SETTING OFF and stick to them!!!

June 2005 Nice quiet flat site, with water, electric & waste disposal. Very near st Annes, Lytham & Blackpool, Clevleys, & all beaches,& shops & supermarkets. Very nice people too, very helpful. We will go again soon. A bit fiddly getting in & out but Brenda & her son Keith helped & my caravan is 20ft.

October 2004 Well its a mother and son who run the site and they are friendly they leave you alone to do your own thing but they are about if needed. It was wet a couple of days but never spoilt our hols. It was a good price and will be going back again. eEen took my mother inlaw who is disabled .
There nothing on site but you make your own fun. My two boys loved it - they never wanted to come home. Not far from the town/shops/etc you have Asda Morrisons and Tesco not 5 mins away.

November 2004 We went to Blackpool in our camper van for a quiet, low cost week end. Having previously stayed in Blackpool and having paid £14 a night for a hook-up and limited facilities, we were glad to find Greenacres costing only £6.75 per night (2 x adults & 1 child) for the pitch and 75p per night for hook-up. This price is all year round & my 2 Dogs were welcome at no extra cost.
The site has limited facilities (toilet, water, waste disposal) but what else do you need for a short break. The owner and her son were very pleasant and helpful. The site is approx 3mins drive from Morrisons Superstore and about a 5 mins drive from the sea and pleasure beach. If you are going to stay here, ensure you get directions. It is easy to find just off the end of the Motorway but is hidden down a small lane.
