This is a lovely site just off the A9. Spacious with ample room between pitches. Toilets are clean and although there is only one block, it is enough due to the smallish number of pitches. Owner was very friendly and helpful. This was my first visit to a campsite as a caravanner after many years of tenting and made a classic newby mistake. There was an empty row of pitches in front of the tent field; "Great," I think, "I can drive straight in without having to do any maneuvering." Ok until the tent field filled up. I have never been on such a noisy site. Windows on the cars down and music pumping out. Kids allowed to wander into our awning and take stuff out. Never had this bother in all the years I've been tenting, maybe just bad timing. Would recommend this site, but wait until after the school holidays.

We returned to Invernahavon after a gap of 3 years and its still a great site for exploring Scotland. This a CC affiliated site that accepts tents and non-members. They have added quite a few gravel hard-standings which in my opinion has spoilt the "natural" look, however, there is still plenty of grass to pitch on.

August 2005 Only visited this site due to a cancelation. Stayed for 3 nights.
A lovely & peacefull site with hard or grass pitches. Hards were individually placed with a grass are between them & were large enough for your car & awning.
Great scenery, low midge counts when we were there. As said, Newtonmore & Kingussie are just next door ?& very well stocked.
Only 2 washup sinks which with as many tents as caravans made queuing the norm. Good laundry room.
Toilet block was always clean - cleaning between 10:30 & 12:00 which didn't allow too much of a lie in as there were only 3 showers of each gender which was definitley too little with 100 tents & vans on site. We went at night instead to avoid waiting, but even at 10:00 there were others there with the same idea.
Apart from that - a great site & would come again.

August 2004 We've just returned from 3 nights here. It was our first time ever towing a caravan and the site was perfect for this purpose. No awkward manoevoring, just drove the van straight in and were allowed to go where we wanted. It was reasonably quiet as I am led to believe is usual for here. I think it suffers having Pitlochry to the south and Aviemore to the north as there is reletively little in Newtonmore which is a shame. Facilites were clean and fit for purpose. The shop had the basics. There had been a lot of rain therefore a few big puddles and I kept trailing mud and grass onto our new van floor! Still, we enjoyed it for a couple of nites.

July 2004 Fabulous site, gorgeous scenery, exceptionally clean toilets and showers! Lots of space for all to enjoy! Very few midgies when we were there. I would say the only downside, is the childrens playarea is just too close to the entrance/exit of the site. Apart from that top marks from us and our two children and of course our cocker spaniel Indie!

July 2004 This is an excellent campsite - spacious and in a scenic spot - always surprisingly quiet when we go in the school holidays, clean facilities etc, not much in the shop but you are close to Newtonmore
