Never again, sorry but for what this site charges, I will now keep well clear. I didn't want to be so harsh about this site, But to just park your van and everything was closed. I went and wanted to do a bit of fishing here, £5 aday. Day light robbery. At leased robinhood worn a mask.

We have used this site several times and will continue to do so because it is only an 8 mile tow from our home-base. It is spotlessly clean with good facilities and satisfies our prime requirement for weekend chillouts, PEACE and QUIET. The Dog In The Lane pub has good food etc and is only about a 5 min drive away. Shrewsbury park/ride and a great Sunday market handy too. We agree with other reviewers, it is a tad pricey but in our case 2 LITRES total fuel use for the round trip more than compensates for this.

Great site well recommend it. Peaceful even during the day. Spotlessly clean loos, only problem we had, showers are push button and don't stay on long so you have to keep pressing the button, bit of a pain when you're washing your hair. We paid £19.95 per night includes elec and water tap behind your pitch. Although there is a drain to save using waste containers there is an extra charge of £1.00. Great, can't wait to go back.

Lovely site, incredibly well kept, great facilities. However it is very expensive, not necessarily the cost per night (£20 with a serviced pitch. Waste, mains water and EHU caravan plus 2 dogs), however the additional cost - £3 extended stay after midday (even though the site was dead quiet), plus £3 each for visitors, which I consider to be a little money grabbing as visitors don't actually use any facilities. I found the very staunch application of the rules and regs a little off-putting, there seemed to be little flexibility in the running of this otherwise very lovely site.
In summary, pretty site with good facilities, so if you can afford it and are a stickler for rules and discipline this is for you. Don't get me wrong I dislike sites that are a free for all however a little flexibility goes a long way when securing what would have potentially been very regular and good customers.

July 2005 Excellent site all facilities were spotless. Lovely lake with swans and ducks. Small indoor pool and restaurant. Looked very nice but we did not use it. We were in a tent and there was plenty of room. Pity there are no ehu for tents. All the staff were very friendly and we would definitely go again

November 2004 Just got back from this site, all I can say is excellent...the park itself is very well cared for, and obviously a favourite with weekend Caravaners all year round.
The two things that really stood out is the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the CENTRALLY HEATED facilities, both very welcome this time of year. It is only 5 mins away from the park and ride into Shrewsbury, which is good value at £1 return Per person. We paid £32 for two nights, good value.

June 2004 The site was recommended by a colleague and it wins a big thumbs up. Easy to find in lovely countryside. We were welcolmed and helped to pitch our folding camper. (No owner has ever offered before so I was a little taken aback). Very quiet and sedate with plenty of room between pitches. All facilities were top class and all clase at hand. May have been disapponted in the summer hols as it is advertised as an Adult only site only there are children lurking on the attached static site! As teaching staff it's sometimes nice to get away from them. No shop on site but a village shop is a 1/2 mile away and was a good walk for the dog (and us) Pub same distance. Restaurant on site, didn't go in because of the dog but looks very nice. Prices a la pubs. Very quiet site. If you want to chill out and relax then this is the site for you. Swimming pool on site. Only open in morning though.

May 2004 Very well maintained site with everything from toilets to grass kept spotless. Own small indoor pool and fly and course fishing lakes also own restaurant. 5 minutes drive to the park and Ride into Shrewsbury and a mile walk to the nearest pub(New Inn)and Post Office/store. Touring site is adults only but children are allowed on static site, the play area is next to the touring pitches so beware if you book in the school holidays expecting no children. The only thing that lets the site down for us is the exclusion of a dog excersise area, dogs must be kept on leads at all times, even on the public footpaths that run through the farm and site (it's a working farm and there are animals in the fields around the site).
