This is one of several overnight stops we have made to this site as it is in a convenient spot, just off the M5.

Clean showers (if on the small side), nice and quiet, spacious but sloping pitches.

The warden was not exactly friendly. Different warden from the one on our last visit.

The site was only half full, which was surprising as this was high season, at a weekend during the school holidays.

Like another reviews the ramps up to site too high. Was not made welcome when turning up early. After settling in only to find half the site knew of our early arrival. Some pitches very steep. So you need to book if you are older and unsteady.

Bus stop about a mile. Pubs, supermarkets, D. I. Y. Store nearby. Showers good. Pot washing good ( but outside )Price too high for type of site.

Very good for bike ride into town. Cycle track all the way. Overall would not go back again mainly due to not being made welcome. Site itself OK. But have been on better sites

This is just 5 minutes from Junction 21 of the M5 and easy to find. Very scary on approach to this site as you go through an industrial estate and one wonders where you are going.

However , on eventual arrival (going over 4 ramps!) it is a lovely surprise. The site is lovely with gorgeous countryside views. The warden was very friendly and ensured we had a nice sunny spot.

The toilets and showers are very outdated but spotlessly clean as is the laundry/washing up room. Close to Weston-super-Mare and Morrisons! Our second visit here and would definitely go again.

Also reduced fees for OAPS!

We spent 3 nights over the bank holiday with my parents. We were in our tent, not requiring electric hook up, my parents in their caravan, requiring electric hook up. We left our booking quite late as it was a last minute decision. On the phone I asked if it would be possible to pitch next to my parents and fairly told that if it was possible they would try to accommodate us, but could make no promises. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find we were able to pitch next to my parents, which was brilliant.

We found the owners to be exceptionally friendly and very helpful both over the telephone and on arrival to the campsite. The warden we found was very friendly and spoke every time he passed, and put his hand up if we were in the car. We had a very warm welcome from everyone.

Site is very quiet, there was plenty of room for the kids to play football & cricket etc in the same field we were pitched in. Plenty of shops nearby of all varieties.

We had a very pleasant stay and will be going back again.

Great site in a superb location, some people have mentioned the location being in an industrial estate but once you pass through this you find the camp sites easily.

Near by you have everything you need, Morrisons, Aldi, Sports Direct, Mcdonalds etc etc.

Weston has had a major facelift and is well worth visiting along with Brean and Burnham.

Facilities are as you would expect from a c&c site, very tidy and relaxing, very friendly site.

Only downside for me was as mentioned below the general attitude of the warden but once your on your pitch and set-up you can forget about him and continue to get on with your break. Would I visit this site again. For the location yes for the general welcome and feeling I received from the warden NO.

My wife and I are trying to emulate the BBC programme by driving our motorhome round the UK coastline. We are stopping off at many different site during this venture and are discovering a real mixture!

This is a small and quiet site just outside Weston Super-Mare, located just off an industrial estate road and through a static park into a mainly inclined field.

The facilities were excellent but suffered from an unexpected problem - especially as it is a C&CC main site. The problem was that the grass had recently been cut across the whole site for what must have been the first time in 2011 and the Manager had not been equipped with a mower with a collector - hence we waded through piles of mown grass which ended up in the toilet and shower blocks as well as our motorhome and the hardstanding!

This spoilt an otherwise good visit.

Arrived and was welcomed by warden. Even though the England Rugby match had just started.

Good directions to site.

Very helpful, took us to pitch, explained where showers, toilets & laundry room was. Even plugged in hookup for us.

Clean site in lovely surroundings.

Handy for Western Super Mare or a stop off on the way home from Cornwall.

Will use site again

WARNING: Entrance to site has six 10 inch high, four feet long full width speed bumps which are unnecessary. Our caravan (which was sitting level on the car) still ground out on them after removing the jockey wheel!

Location is a little dodgy; on an industrial estate right next to a trailer park. Site has a lot of security including locked gates and height restriction barriers after 6PM which didn't exactly reassure me!

Facilities are clean, site is well maintained and it is nice and close to M5 for an overnight stop. But wont be using again because of those speed humps!

I am a member of the C&CC which is just as well as this site is 'Members Only'

It is situated in the back of beyond and is approached through grim light industrial area.

There is an excellent dog walk that has secure fencing all the way around it. It is a shame that dog owners can't be bothered to clear up after their dogs

The showers and WCs were up to the usual Club standards; so no complaints there.

I am not entirely sure why the showers/WCs need to have a code entry lock but no doubt there are good reasons.

Customer service? Now that's a good question. We were not made to feel very welcome and thought that it was just because it was late in the day or whatever. It was only after some remarks made by other campers over the washing up that we realised that we were not the only ones who had had a bad reception to the site.

I feel that the price charged for this site is far too much per night.

We stayed 2 nights on this site on our way to Devon (min 2 nights stay is required). We wanted to set off early to try to avoid the holiday traffic on the M5. Arriving at the site at 11.15 and seeing plenty of free pitches, we were sure the warden would allow us to pitch up 45 mins early. But no. This is a Camping and Caravan Club site and the rules clearly state that pitches are available from 12pm. At 12.01 we were relieved to see the warden approaching. A pitch we thought. But it wasn’t to be. Not until the grass on our pitch (and all of the others) had been cut first. Now we understand rules are rules, but a simple explanation would have sufficed. As would a bit of common sense and politeness.

The site itself had lovely views, but no walks around the area except the adjacent campsite and was fairly small. As previous reviews have stated, there is no play area only a slide belonging to the campsite next to it. Ball games are strictly not allowed on the site – even with adult supervision. There is a sloping field next to the site for ball games however.

Weston Super Mare was fun and cheerful – there were lots of improvements being made to the pavements and the pier was not yet open. In a few months when the work has finished it will be lovely.

One other thing to bear in mind is the 4 very high speed bumps when approaching the site. We drove very slowly, but still scraped the bottom of the caravan. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. I’m sure there must be lots of other sites off the M5 that are a lot more welcoming and cheaper! We will just have to keep searching!
