August 2005 Decidedly sloping site with some more level pitches at the bottom. Pitches at top of site had great views over surrounding countryside and some pretty good sunsets.
Facilities usual club standard, although did have to queue sometimes for washbasin cubicles and/or showers.
The directions in BSB/Your Place in the Country do work, but at the moment you feel like you are getting lost in a building site when you follow them! You also go through another camp site to get to the club site which is a bit confusing……..
Nice enough site, but I suspect not one we will be revisiting.

We chosen this campsite because it was listed in the AA caravan & campsites book. We used the non Caravan Club-members part of the site. The ground was ok, but I was very disappointed at the cleanliness of the toilets and showers, one of the just two male showers closed off on the Saturday afternoon. There are no soap dispensers available in the either the male or female facility.
The water supply also tasted like it recently had been chemically treated. Reception area was unmanned, and the support staff caravan is not obvious. The support staff did not fully explain site rules, or point out where the site rules were posted.
Reception staff were helpful when indicating access time for gates.

July 2005 A short distance from the M5 motorway, th site is ideally situated for a stopover to and from the west country, the site is a combination of grass and gravel hardstanding, the site slopes quite a bit so levelling blocks would be required. Reception office very small and would imagine booking in would be quite slow when busy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Toilet block rather small and had to queue for a shower! Site is pleasantly rural, with nice views at the top of the park.D isappointed there was no motorhome service point! Its a 10 minute walk from the site to the Helicopter Museum for parents and children. Outside Museum is a bus stop with a bus service every 30 minutes into Weston Super Mare. Nice pubs & restaurants near site and Morrisons Superstore of dual carriageway for fuel and supplies.

March 2005 Being a Camping and Caravanning Club site we found it very quiet and friendly, which as it was our first family camping trip was what we were looking for. We pitched on the slighty sloping field in front of the toilet blocks. I would think in the height of summer you would have to wait for showers as only 3 each in mens and ladies but very clean. Small playground for children and large field for ball games etc and also a small fenced off area for dog walking.
After one downpour we noticed the hard standings at bottom of sloping field were waterlogged though quickly drained away. Campsite ideally positioned for easy access to junc 21 of m5 and beach at Weston. If your after a quiet camp site then would recommend this one. Wookey hole and Cheddar nearby as well. Site managers were very friendly also.

August 2003 A really nice welcome and always approachable, very friendly, 3 fields, hard standing - level field - caravan and camping club site. Kept very clean. 3 Miles to Weston. Very quiet and peacefull but does have a small playpark for the children. The only honest downfall I found was that there were only two showers in the ladies and gents and that they were on the small side, when taking young children into them it became a battle for space. With the growing popularity of the site perhaps they ought to consider a secondary set of showers with a little more thought to the layout and size of them. Would happily recommend.
