This site is ideally situated for camping close to Cromer (3miles). The site is in a quiet location about quarter of a mile outside of Northrepps village. It has two small fields which are both pleasantly situated. When we visited the site it was late season in September. It was very peaceful and a good place to get away from it all.
We did visit the local pub (The Foundry Arms) and really enjoyed it. There was a warm welcome and the food looked great although we had already eaten. It has a pool table and dart board and is family friendly.
On site the facilities were clean and in good condition, although there was not really a basin or mirror for doing your hair or cleaning your teeth. Also no shaver sockets to be found. We did not have any problem with queuing for toilets or showers as it was off peak season.
However I would not want to visit this site during peak season, as there are only one male and one female toilets, and only two showers. There is a slope from the lower field up to the toilet block, which is in great need of converting into steps as it is hard to negociate for even the fittest of people.
Found the ground to be good for tents, and the ground pegs went in with no trouble.
We would visit again in early or late season.

A really nice site,we got the impression that it hasn't been open very long. Everything seemed to have a 'new' feel about it
The loos were very clean, although there being only two of them,I guess it could do with a couple more. The showers are clean as well, with loads of hot water.
There are two fields. The large field has a slight slope to it,and I guess it could be a bit windy at the top end of the field. Most of the electric hook-ups are on the the lower smaller more sheltered field.
The surrounding countryside is nice and there is a good dog walk in the woods about 50yds down the lane from the entrance.
The site is a little tricky to find,as the owners house is about 1/4 mile away, but having called at the house too book in we had no problems finding it.
We visited Sheringham & Cromer [both nice little resorts] and we took a ride on two steam railways. The North Norfolk Line [which runs from Sheringham to Holt] and the Bure Valley Railway [a Narrow guage line] which runs from Aylesham to Wroxham. Wroxham too is well worth a visit.
Also worth visiting is 'The Muckleborough Collection'. A military vehicle museum at nearby Weybourne.
We had a bit of a mishap with our cars rear window as we were packing away to go home [I broke it].And if any of you guys who helped me out are reading this.Heres a massive big thanks.
Would we go back? Yes, Definitely.

We booked this site as it was small and thought it would be quiet. Unfortunately, the neighbours who live next to the site had taken a week off of work to build a shed in his garden so we were treated to angle grinding from 8pm most evening and also most of the weekend. But that's not the site owners fault of course!
We counted 22 units at one stage during the stay most of which housed families of 4 - it doesn't take a genius to realise that the TWO showers, and two toilets just wasn't enough.
However, the showers and toilets were cleaned regularly and only ran out of loo roll once!
On the bright side, the campsite was ideally suited for trips to Cromer, Sheringham and some lovely quiet beaches in Overstrand, Bacton and Mundesley. And we DID have great weather !
The site owners were pleasant and helpful.

Family of four visited with dog end July for 3 nights.
The site is lovely & quiet down a narrow lane, which suits us fine.
Children can play in the middle of the camping field, ball games, badminton etc, these are the plus points.
The minus points are as follows and if the owners read this should take note.
Although the toilet/showers are clean they miss the following:
One toilet/basin for men & one for women. No mirror or shaving point in either. Not very hygienic to expect campers to use the basin in the toilets to wash/clean teeth.
Showers x 2 all in all OK but lack ventilation & again no mirror and no anti slip mat outside cubicle. No mop to mop away muddy water.
Washing up area-un covered, luckily it didn't rain while we were here. No hot water tap, so had to fetch hot water from the toilet basins. Only cold. One sink, one drainer not sufficient for a site with at least 15 pitches.
Charge is £15 per night this is inclusive of hook up. For this price should at least provide mirrors & hot water for washing up.
Although nice and quiet won't be visiting again.

Take two adults around about 50 years old, two dogs and a Vango Orchy 500 tent. Add a very enjoyable campsite, good weather and mix together for a cracking weekend.
The campsite is a field which is slightly sloping but with flat areas. The shower and toilet block were clean and practical. We saw a cleaner visit at least three times a day.
There were two showers with hot water,an outside sink for washing up and a separate drinking water tap. This was enough for the units using the facilities although the site was half full.
The owner was very welcoming and we thought that the site was good value. The local pub was a 15 minute walk and was friendly with good beer and food served until 9pm.
We used the beach at Overstrand and had tea at the Cliff Top cafe nearby which had superb cakes. We really liked the Cliff Top cafe. So did our dogs who were allowed in as well.

Fab site, fab facilities, great village location, in fact, a I had a great time all round. Even the weather held out!
However, on our arrival, I found the welcome most `un`- welcoming i`m afraid to say, which was a great shame, as the site was fantastic!
I felt as though `we` were doing the site owner a favour???
Anyway, that was our only gripe, and we certainly didn`t let it marr our lovely break away in the beautiful countryside of Norfolk.
The village of Northrepps was just fabulous, and in particular the local drinking hole, The Foundry, was a revelation to behold. Great beer, food and the bar staff were tremendous too! They even had a `local` character that could perform impressions of `Boycie` from Only Fools & Horses fame, if you gave him a pork scratching, which was an amazing sight I can tell you.
Also heard an interesting story that during the 2nd world war, a very famous scientist and mathematician had stayed in Northrepps under armed guard, which was an amazing fact. I can`t name names, but all I will say is that it may have been something to do with an apple falling into a shoe, or something.
Anyway, we had a great time, so many thanks.

The road leading to the site is only 1 vehicle wide, you do need to pick your passing place carefully even if the small grass cutting tractor is coming the opposite way.
The site is tidy, ideal base for Cromer and Sherringham you do need a car to get anywhere
Sloped site, 2 showers and 2 toilets in a mobile block which looks brand new. Very clean and tidy and heated with regular cleaners whom do an excellent job. The 2 toilets/showers are portaloo's construction, although very clean, certainly not enough to cope with a full field of tents and families on the connecting non-members field (do take your own toilet paper as this ran short).
Caravan and camping club members get their own pitches on the lower strip with plenty of space, as a club member I feel that you should be advised that the site facility is also shared for non-members, you do need to wait and watch for when the facility is not busy (be prepared to cross your legs)
Access the woods is possible via the top end of the club members area and is very pleasant for just a leisurely stroll or dog walk (easy 2 hours at the double shuffle).
Our pet is regularly treated (fleas etc) but did pick up ticks from the woods, so as a responsible pet owner I would advise you to take your tick remover set with you
All in all a pleasant visit/site

Site is tidy and you get a decent view over countryside if you go not in the camping and caravanning club members part!. Good quiet location just a reasonable walk down a quiet lane. Pub is up the lane, but we didn't try it.
Good for country walks or bike rides with several bridleways, public footpaths and very quiet lanes. Nice 1.5m walk ride to Overton? beach
Slightly sloped site. 2 showers and 2 toilets in a mobile block which looks brand new . Very clean and tidy and heated which makes them better than some permanent ones!.
Apart from the open space, nothing specific for the kids to do.
For people with mobility issues, there is a very steep pebbly slope about 15ft long up to the showers which really needs some steps putting in.
Good value site
PS: don't park on the couple of pitches under the big Lime? trees at the end of may or else you will have to spend your last morning washing the sap which has fallen from the trees!

Brilliant site, would recommend to people who want to get away.
You can walk through the woods as well.
Facilities are basic but very up to date and very clean.
We stayed in the camping and caravan only part and it was lovely, lots of spaces on the pitches.
We cycles into Cromer and it took us 15 mins, lovely quiet lanes near the site.
Ann Youngman was great and very friendly.
Definitely be going back again

Very pleasant old fashioned site. Caravan and camping club members get their own pitches. The couple who own it are very helpful and easy to deal with. The site is down a narrow country lane and is about 2 1/2 miles from Cromer. Those choosing to walk will find it a pleasant stroll. There is a pub in the village about 10 mins walk away. The toilet facilities are 2 portaloos and a shower unit, all of which were clean. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
