Great Site - would have stayed longer if we didn't have to come home for work.
Friendly, helpful manager.
Very clean toilets / shower facilities.
Flat, soft pitches with plenty space (we went on a Fri / sat in July)
Football pitch had an event on Sat night which was loud but stopped at a reasonable time. Traffic not a problem.
Fantastic wee cafe in an industrial unit(!) next to campsite - serving amazing home made real meringues.
LOADS to do in and around Jedburgh - we went with 2 kids aged 5 and 7. Glad we took the scooters - great for the riverside walk all the way into town centre. Might have been a bit of a trek otherwise.
Visited town jail (free), and had a look at Abbey - (too expensive), played in park by tourist info.
Had a great day out at Jedforest park. Would hav done other stuff if time allowed. Plenty castles to visit in borders. Also fancied the wee donkey sanctuary. Loved it!

This is a great site for anyone travelling by public transport - the bus stops on the main road just outside, and Jedburgh town centre is within walking distance. I used it for my first 'solo with daughter' trip. It was quite busy the weekend we stayed; we had prebooked.
The amenity block consisted of 5 or 6 toilets and 5 or 6 showers for the ladies (I assume gents had the same), plus a roofed although not walled area for dishwashing. We had a tiny two-man tent, but were placed in a field that was mostly caravans/large tents (I think because the C&CC computer has details of our 'big' tent), which suited us fine. Some other tents looked to be crammed into pitches a lot smaller than the standard C&CC ones though, so it's worth checking this if it matters to you. As always on club sites, the other campers were friendly.
No children's play area, but after a day of entertainment in town my daughter was quite happy to sit and colour quietly in the tent! In town there's the Castle Jail Museum and the Abbey to visit, as well as a children's playpark.
Ground flat and level and easy to drive tent pegs in. May slightly retain water; we only had showers so it was fine.

This site is very well placed for easy walking access into Jedburgh and well located just off the A68. A good base from which to tour the area.
However, we found the toilet block, although clean, to be badly in need of refurbishment. Also, our 'hardstanding pitch' was little more than dust, which constantly trailed into our 'van.
Staff were very friendly and competent. Very little can be purchased from the wardens office - council restrictions? However, the Shell garage over the road from the site sells papers, milk etc.

Great site within easy walk along the river to the town centre. Town was very quiet when we visited due to the festival the night before, the whole town seemed to have a hangover! Had an interesting look around the museum and old jail (which is free).
The wardens made you feel very welcome and were helpful. The site is well maintained and the showers and toilets although old looking were always clean and tidy.
Would happily return to this site

A super little site, just off the main outside Jedburgh, but nicely set back over a bridge and behind the river and the trees, it makes it feel very private.
Run by a very helpful and friendly couple, we were guided onto our pitch.
Basic but clean and perfectly acceptable washroom facilities, and the whole site is very well maintained.
There are a couple of tourist-trap Woollen Mill outlets directly across the road. There's also a nice riverside walk into Jedburgh (I'd guess about a mile or a little more), with shops, etc. Despite it being a reasonably sized town, it's quiet and laid back.
Couldn't find any great pubs, so had a wee drink at a coffee shop, where the lady serving was very chatty and friendly.

This is a fantastic little site for a weekend break to Jedburgh. A small group of us stayed here for a weekend and had a great time.
The managers were very friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough to help during our stay and also during the phone calls we made whilst planning our weekend.
The toilets and showers were immaculately clean and there was always plenty of hot water.
Jedburgh is only a 5-10 min walk away either along the road or a nice walk along the river. Jedburgh itself is a nice town with all the usual amenities.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.

First time at this site, the Johnston couple were very helpful. The toilet/shower blocks were very well looked after and plenty of hot water (no extra cost). Clean water/waste water areas also spruce. Site is very good overall, we got the last caravan electric hook up on the Friday and it was as good as any other. Very level. Peaceful and friendly people abounded. Have been to Jedburgh in the past, but this time being in the caravan meant we did more walking. Going back in August and doing some of the recommended walks. Ideal site for exploring from. Although the site is off the A68 this is not an issue once you are on the site.

What a site! I was slightly concerned having read previous reviews about the busy road, river and lack of playground. None of these concerns were an issue.
On arrival we were welcomed by extremely welcoming and friendly owners. He took us to our pitch and assisted us in reversing - which is normally a tense moment between me and my wife!
The site is gorgeous, trees on one side of the site and a river running along the other. Although you are able to access the river there are flood defences and quite rough grass so our son never bothered going near the river even though we were pitched right next to it.
There is a gorgeous walk direct from the site into Jedburgh along the river. This was great with our 3 year old as it's not next to a road and meant he was free to explore. In the other direction there is a great little loop across the football ground that loops back to the campsite or into Jedburgh if you prefer.
The football pitch provides a great area for exercising our dog and there are plenty of dog waste bins both on site and on the walk to Jedburgh.
Jedburgh itself is a gorgeous little place with everything you could need. There is a large Co op and I can highly recommend A J Learmonth butchers for supplies for the BBQ!
There's a brand new childs play area in Jedburgh so the lack of an on site one was not an issue. I couldn't get a satellite signal due to the trees being just where Astra 2 is, luckily the freeview signal is strong as they have had the analogue switch so we had our telly, all through our omnidirectional aerial!
None of the pubs around Jedburgh look pretty welcoming to be honest! But then we did discover The Carters Rest, next to Jedburgh abbey - although we never had a drink here it did look rather nice with a good menu.
On site facilities are basic but well kept. They were always clean and although one morning the shower was a bit too cold to use this didn't seem an issue for the rest of the week. It was late morning and presumably all the other campers had used the water up!
All in all this is a great site. I will definitely re visit and the owners were very helpful.

Like previous reviews, no major complaints or grumble about the site. As this was our first stay at a club site we got a bit more of an 'induction' than the regulars and that meant we didn't end up 'breaking any rules'.
Toilet and shower block was spotless with no complaints from OH. Tap water far too hot though and showers could have been a bit warmer.
However the site is just a bit too close to the A68 (75 yards or so). I guess caravans and motorhomes don't notice the noise and we were somewhat oblivious to it during the day but at night it's a noisy and busy road with nothing much in the way to block the sound of traffic.

Came up here after a very wet weekend in Wales, the weather was a little better, but by the end of the week there was a flood warning, and we packed up and left early. Cannot praise the owners enough, very helpful & friendly couple. Refunded all our money for the nights we did not stay.
The campsite itself is small & quiet, which as 2 couples without children, it is great. A lot of caravaners stay over night as a stopover before heading into Scotland or down to England. There was a few people in tents including us. We have a large tent (7.5m x 5.5m), and this wasn’t a problem. Some sites don’t take tents this big.
The toilet block was one of the cleanest I’ve been in. It started to get a bit untidy in the morning (cleaned once a day about 11 ish), but nothing really worth mentioning. There are 5 toilets & 5 showers in both the ladies & gents, so there was never a queue. 3 washing up sinks, and a coin operated washer & dryer too.
It was a shame we had to leave early, and we would definitely plan to come up to this site again.
