I Stayed here when the weather was good in August. Campsite is adequate but nothing special. As mentioned before the toilet block is horribly small, the washing up facilities are limited to 3 sinks in a very cramped room! The block was often dirty/smelly (I guess because they can't shut down the block and use another while they are cleaning!) The site has huge potential, for example the views to the sea are exceptional - if only they would trim the hedges so you could see it! (otherwise walk to the field behind the campsite near the childrens play area). Staff are friendly pitches are generous. However I wouldn't return unless the site has some renovation/upgrading of site facilities.

This site is a bit of a time warp and reminded how camp sites were 30 years ago. The facilities are spartan and inadequate for the size of the site. For instance there are only 4 men's showers and 3 washing up sinks to accommodate 105 pitches so be prepared to queue for a shower. There is a shop which is only open a couple of hours in the morning and again a couple of hours in the evening and only really stocks very basic emergency items. There is a small children's play area with one slide and a couple of swings and a large empty field for ball games . Be aware that this site is remote and is at least 4 miles from Lynton where the nearest reasonable shop is in fact its so remote that mobile phones get no signal here. Basically if your looking for a cheap site for a base and don't mind the poor amenities then this is it. If you have lots of kids to amuse and keep clean then don't bother. I made the best of what was there as I used it just as a base but I would not return . Caravan and camping club really need to look at updating this site and putting in the right amount of facilities to cope with 105 pitches.

We've just returned from this lovely, quiet site. Friendly, helpful warden. Plenty of space and just peace and quiet. At night you could almost hear a pin drop. There is one huge field and a smaller one (where we were).
There's no real shop although the reception do sell basic supplies. There's a huge field and also a couple of swings and a slide and it's a safe site for children to ride their bikes.
On the downside - there's only 1 toilet block (for all 105 pitches) which is fairly basic but clean and we had to queue for the 4 small showers at peak times.
If I'm in this area again I would return to this site.
