This is a large site mainly for those who like to take part or to watch water sports, there were none on while we were there though there is a ski slope but if you want to use this you will have to have had some tuition first. I would imagine the site is a busy but exciting place to be in the summer even if you are only a spectator.
There is a bar which has a large veranda area and barbque which is open in the better months here you can view all the action. It was open all day and evening over the weekend we were there. The staff are all very friendly and apart from one or two static residents we were the only ones in there so it was like a private club. They serve very good meals at reasonable prices. The pitches are mostly grass with about a dozen hard standing which are very large. We were in a small group and almost had the touring site to ourselves the showers and toilets were lovely, clean and warm. There is security people on site around the clock. The down side was there was nowhere to excersise our dogs off the lead nearby but otherwise there is plenty of walking. Stamford, about five miles away, is a nice little town with all the usual shops. We liked this site and will be visiting this again in the summer to get another view of it.

This site is brilliant, and looks as good as it sounds. You have designated areas, which I thought where more than ample for a tent.
The toilets/showers are immaculate and always have plenty of hot water. The site itself is also very clean, except when we went they had a problem with geese droppings, which they are trying to resolve. They have a nice play area for the kids and a bar/resturant for the adults.
There is plenty to do if you are into water sports, we aren't, but still found plenty to do in the surronding villages.
I would most certainly go back, good site, great for people with young kids, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

July 2004 What a lovely campsite - stayed for a weekend - didn't want to come home. Pleasant walks around the lakes. My 14 yr fished most of the time. Lots of ducks to feed, they were so tame. Spotlessly clean showers and toilets, lovely friendly staff, nice bar with decked verandah overlooking lake. Would definitely stay again.

June 2004 A lovely site with a very large flat pitch ideal for our outwell hartford xl tent. Good clean facilities, glorious lakes with plenty of water sports to watch and maybe even take part. Basic essentials can be purchased at the bar, restaurant. Barbecue on-going all weekend of our visit. Children friendly with play area and they are allowed in the bar area. Very cheap £6.50 for the tent and then charged per adult On the down side very noisy monday 6 am as nearby concrete works set off for its weeks work and the showers were boiling hot.
