Would agree with most of the other comments. Quiet site, pleasant location and some farm animals for kids to look at. Pitches are flat and toilets are basic but adequate when we stayed. Branscombe is a beautiful area and very hilly.

A basic site located in the stunning East Devon countryside. Branscombe is a lovely little village and the National Trust beach is simply breathtaking! Would really recommend a visit to the nearby Donkey Sanctuary and also Sidmouth which retains a lovely seaside atmosphere that so many resorts seem to have lost!
We were greeted by the friendly owner on arrival and offered a choice of pitches in two smaller fenced off areas (which I suspect are used to graze animals at less busy times!)
Clean, but very basic shower and toilet facilities, not really adequate
Despite this I would still consider the site should I wish to re-explore the area.

We have just stayed at this campsite for the Bank Holiday Weekend, and it is a lovely place to stay with a sea view across and down the valley. The toilet block is simple, but functional.
Use the directions given on the website, as coming from a different route with a larger vehicle may get a little tight. Once at the site, its all down hill to Branscombe (20-30mins). Head to the Old Bakery for an excellent ploughman's with locally made chutneys, very filling as I struggled to finish it. From the campsite to Beer then across the cliff path into Branscombe and back UP to the campsite is about 6miles.Tiring but thoroughly enjoyable.
The gentleman that runs the site talks to everyone and is a bit of an eccentric character, at about 8.30-9pm one night he turned up to everyone's pitch touting "locally produced cider by the gallon container".Though it was quite reasonably priced. I opted not to partake as it wouldn't mix with the wine I was already drinking.
Yes I would go back. Thank you for the enjoyable time.

Found this site on UKCampsite and stayed for 10 nights. On our arrival it seemed to be everything we wanted from a camp site - quiet, low key and in beautiful countryside. The site is spread over two fields on a slight slope, but was kept neat and tidy, with the pitches not too close together. We requested an electric hook up, but found that our pitch was too far from the hook up point with our shortish lead. A long lead (as recommended on their web site) is a definite requirement. The owner was helpful enough in providing an extension lead to enable us to connect up. The toilet block was basic but adequate with ample hot water and few queues even at busy times, although the single sink for washing up did get busy in the evenings. The nearest shop we found was the BP garage about 2 miles to the east on the A3052 at Seaton which is OK for food basics, but we used the Co-Op in Seaton near the seafront for most of our needs. We also found a Waitrose about 6 miles to the west at Sidford which was useful for those essential BBQ items!

We thought the campsite was lovely with gorgeous views. It is a great energetic walk into Branscombe where there are two great pubs - the Mason's Arms and the Fountain Head. In addition, the facilities though quite basic were extremely clean (ie - this site might not be for people who want to spend ages putting on loads of make up and straightening hair, even though we saw someone trying - hehe)

What a fantastic site! We will definitely stay here again. Its a beautiful small site with just 2 fields but plenty of space. There was loads of room for the children to play as it was all perimeter pitching. The washing up areas and toilet block were clean and well maintained with free hot showers. Its set in a super part of Devon with Seaton and Sidmouth just a short journey away. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and was a lovely chap as our holiday had got off to a bad start elsewhere and all we wanted was a quiet site with no facilities (ie shop/bar/club). This site is a 'little gem' and VERY highly recommended.

Spent a night at Coombe View last week as part of a walking holiday. It's a smallish site (2 fields), and not widely publicised, so was quiet even though it was high season. It had a fine lawn with a view to the sea a couple of miles distant.
Facilities were basic - 1 washing up sink, 2 showers and 2 toilets in a concrete block, but hot showers were free. The nearest shop was in Branscombe, about a mile away down a steep hill. The Mason's Arms, also in the village, is a wonderful pub with generally excellent food (some local) and a good atmosphere.

We went to Coombe View Farm with friends for Bank Holiday weekend in August. This was our first time camping so nothing to compare it to. The site itself is small, two fields with electric hook up available. There were 2 female toilets, 2 male and 2 showers. Showers were hot, clean and plenty of toilet paper available in the toilets. Outside washing up facility. Although it was bank holiday weekend the site didnt seem to be full and the facilities were adequate for the amount of people there. On the farm the children were delighted to see chickens, goats and horses. The site is at the top of a steep hill, at the bottom of the hill 1.5 miles away is the beach at Branscombe. All in all a nice basic site with clean facilities. We would go back.
