Me the Husband, and kids aged 16 and 7 have just returned from a May bank holiday stay at this park.  As usual I had left it last minute to book but the owner of the site could not have been more helpful.   She offered us a pitch near the play area, with electric hookup and it was ideal.  The play area itself was lovely natural wood type with the usual swings slide and climbing area. The children do tend to play football near the play area, but I am believer in kids being kids.  No damage was done to anyone's property, but if this is not for you request a pitch along the boundary or in the first part of the site.
The toilet blocks were clean throughout our stay even though the site was full.  There is a swipe card barrier system for those entering or leaving the site which was a real added security feature for me.
Ruddlan castle is a very short walk from the site, and there is a Sainsbury supermarket less than 5 minutes drive away.   for those who have not been to Ruddlan before, it is perfectly situated just outside Rhyl and Prestatyn for seaside hols and all that comes with busy seaside tourism, but Ruddlan and surrounding villages such as Dyserth with its waterfall make lovely countryside settings for local days out.  We visited Llandudno during our stay, and days out are made particularly easy with the main A55 road only 10 minutes from the site.  WE have already planned to go back for August bank holiday and take family with us.  Only down side for me (though not lots of others!) is that there are no dogs allowed on the site. Other than that highly recommended!

We have just arrived back from this site after staying for three nights over the Bank Holiday.
This was our first ever trip out with the caravan.
We were charged £42 for three nights, this included the caravan, one car, an awning, 10 amp electric hook up, two adults and six children ranging from aged three years up to twelve.
On arrival the owners were very helpful, walked us to our pitch and even helped us to unhook and move the van into position. We were told where everything was, toilets etc and where the supermarkets were and even the best places to eat off site too. Couldnt do enough for us, even offering the use of an extension cable for the hook up if ours didnt reach and if you have forgotten anything just ask, they will do their best to help. Really super people!
The grass was very well kept and the whole site spotless at all times. There are security barriers that are activated by a swipe card and checks are made on a regular basis in the day and every hour through the night, but these are not at all intrusive.
Great shower and toilet block, free hot water and showers, all spotless. Childrens play park was very safe and well laid out with benches for parents too. Safe enought for all my children to play on, not just the older children.
We were offered either 10 or 16 amp hook ups. You are able to use the clubhouse of the caravan park opposite, prices range from 50p to £1, depending what night you visit. When we visited there didnt seem to be a separate area for tents, just all mixed with caravans and motorhomes.
There was a little noise from the flyover road, didnt disturb us, but may do for people in tents.
My only complaint would be that everyone was pitched very close to each other, there wasnt much room at all for children to play outside the vans.
Overall, we were very impressed with the site and would very happily return here. Excellent value for money in my opinion and a good site to be near to Rhyl and Towyn. Also only a two minute drive to Rhuddlan castle. They even had a letter hunt competition on the Sunday for the children!

This site will be remembered for us as one of the best kept grass pitches we have ever stayed at. The grass was ideal for tents and in excellent condition. The owners were on holiday at the time of our visit, but the couple the left in charge were very friendly. The site was situated a very short drive from Rhyl and there was plenty to keep us occupied for a week. The cleanliness of the toilet blocks were of the highest standard.
When we do go to Rhyl again we will visit this site.

We started visiting clwyd view in April 2005 and have gone back every season since, the owners are very welcoming and exteremly helpful. The site is very clean and child friendly my children love the play area, there is a speed limit on site to of whicgives me peace of mind when children are playing out as well as the barriers coming in and out of the site that take a swipe card. The shower block is clean and tidy at all times we dont use the wash area but from what I have seen it is very clean, there is a washing macjine and dryer of which I find very usefull when the children get mucky! Over the road on another site you can use the club although we never have , prefering to relax outside our van on the site. Overall I would highly recomend the site as it is value for money, well  kept and very clean, as well as being a place to relax as there is very little noise.

Owners seem nice enough and check in OK.
Mixture of vans and tents. The camp site is clean with small play area for the kids.
The layout is a bit hit and miss and we felt a bit boxed in. The hooks ups are central requiring an extension to reach from some vans. The toilets are regularly cleaned and showers OK.
Not much of a view and the occasional noise from the police helicopter taking off and landing is bearable, although it does tend to wake you when it comes in late at night or early morning.
Road noise from main route into Rhyl is also noticeable in late eve / early hours
The site does have a security barrier operated by swipe card, which is good.
Quite expensive for what I would consider to be a basic site with £15pn for 10A electrics and £20pn for 16A, so therefore would probably not return.

Fantastic site and immaculately clean. Owners very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Free hot showers but only one sink in which to do the dishes although we didn't have to queue so not a problem.
Excellent play area for the kids. I didn't see mine unless they needed feeding. Electric hook up was on 10 amps for tents and 5 amps for caravans.
Owner did checks every half an hour at night to see everything was shipshape. Only problem was noise due to some unruly campers further down the field and you know you were, shame on you.
The owner was quick to apologise to every one although ideally these should have been asked to leave and not leave the owner of the campsite red faced and apologetic. This however was our only niggle.
Campsite was well placed and Sainsbury's only five minutes away by car so no need to shop before you go. Club on adjoining site which you can use but we didn't. Owner very knowledgeable and will guide you in the right direction if you need help.
I would highly recommend this site and will be visiting again very soon

Visited this site on a bank holiday weekend. The toilets at this site are clean with a good childrens play area. The showers could possibly do with being modernised as they were quite cold and basic. The dish washing area was a bit untidy possibly due to children putting stones down the plug hole although this was cleaned up fairly quickly. There are hookups and a seperate area of the field for tents without hookups.

The owners were friendly but quite hard to get hold of as the reception remained closed for most of the weekend. There was a bbq and organised sports day for visitors. The overall site is clean and tidy.
