We have been going to Green acres for several years and have enjoyed our stay every time we have visited the site (usually twice a year).
Christine’s son and daughter-in-law took over this lovely site about two or three years ago and have improved it even more by creating more fully serviced pitches a fabulous new facility block that includes a double pot wash area, six beautiful large wet rooms that includes toilets. Plus a small male and female toilets.
The new block is-disabled friendly with wet room.
There is lots of places to visit if you go to Green acres, Gretna green shopping centre plus the blacksmiths shop famous for its runaway marriages are a must to visit, The lakes are just about half an hour away,
Talking tarn about ten miles away is a fabulous walk if you have dogs a well looked after path takes you around the lake for a easy stroll,
Hadrian’s wall is close to the site and is well worth a visit,
I hope my review helps you to visit this site it is a smashing place to enjoy your days away,
Looking at my ratings may I say that I’m not related to owners of this site

Lovely quiet site with what look like superb facilities ( closed due to Covid restrictions )
Very clean and well maintained.
Received text offering Sunday dinner delivered to site which we took advantage of lovely roast dinner and slightly disappointed dessert for £12. All delivered hot from a local eatery.

This site is a hidden treasure.
It is immaculate, and a handy stop over heading North being just of the M6 at Carlisle.
An added bonus was being able to pre order Sunday roast which was amazing and value for money.
Didnt use the facilities but they looked mew and well maintained.
A really nice adult only site with good size pitches and services quiet and peaceful well worth a visit.

This is an immaculate and well organised site. The young owners are friendly and helpful. It is very close to the M6 junction for Carlisle.
We have used it as a stopover on our journey north but it seems there is plenty to do in the locality for longer stays.

Beautifu site well kept, owners friendly and helpful always spraying all of the water taps and areas in the public domain due to coronavirus.
Due to the virus the facilities were closed which was not a problem we all used our own.
Beautiful walks around the area and an excellent dog walk field and woods.

Caravan site was really peaceful. Great care is taken and surroundings are immaculate.
Obviously with the current situation the facilities are closed so can’t comment on them but sure they would have been to the high standard that everything else appeared to be.
Look forward to visiting again when we are back to normal.

The site was close to Carlisle and more specifically for me Houghton - I was visiting my mother who lives in Houghton. Pleasant site with well spaced pitches.
Because of covid, the facilities weren't open so we were unable to use the laundry. I think there was a clubhouse but again it was closed.
There wasn't an abundance of places to service the motorhome but we managed ok. We didn't see any staff the whole time we were there, although we had been sent an informative email prior to our stay. Generally it was a good site - the staff can't help covid of course, but it would have been nice to have been welcomed by a real person.

What a find! Lovely, quiet well kept site. Spotless facilities. Close to motorway but no noise. Handy for an m and s food hall too.
Great dog walk. Carlisle is gateway to North Lakes which are about 45 mins away.
