Our first visit to this site, very impressed.
All the space you expect from a caravan club site. Clean shower/toilet blocks, staff very pleasant and helpful.
Lovely beach 5 mins walk away, Tenby 20 mins by car. Area great for things to do many within 30 mins.
On downside caravan site could do with somewhere for kids to play ball games.
There is a very nice play area which is well maintained but kids do like to kick a ball about.
There is a bar close to beach that serves food and drink and has kids disco in high season, its not connected to site but the staff are very welcoming and you can park close to beach on there car park free as long as you use the shop or bar during your stay, seems fair to me.
We will be going back next year and we are looking forward to it already

Stayed here for 4 nights in a tent, campsite very quiet, only noise was sheep and birds. Shower blocks clean (closed for cleaning between 10.30 and 11.30am)
Most tent pitches are on a slope but not too bad. Owners friendly and froze our icepacks daily so we were able to keep cool box stuff cold as there is no EHU for tents.
Be prepared to drive if you want to eat out, places are very limited, the Freshwater Inn is up the road this place is really tacky and not pleasant to sit in for a meal, although because of the lack of other eating places we had to eat here, the food is basic but edible and reasonably priced.
My advice would be to stay on site with a BBQ if weather permits. The holiday village right next door serves food but only on a Sunday unless in July and August season so this was no use to us.
The Stackpole Inn was nice but very pricey we had a drink there but didn't eat.
Places worth a visit are Bosherston Lilly Ponds (free parking if NT members) Barafundle Bay, Stackpole Quay and best beach has to be Broadhaven very clean and spacious. Weather was good to us so we sat on this beach all afternoon.
Tenby a bit tacky we caught the boat from here to visit Caldy island this is worth a visit and is £11 per adult. Nothing in Pembroke except the castle.
Good walks straight from Campsite.
Would stay again if ever in Pembrokeshire area again

Two nights here while touring Pembrokeshire. Spacious site set back in valley. Two toilet blocks well up to C.C standards. Tv hookup available/ no mobile signal. Site shop with the basics plus a few extras! Nice friendly wardens. Only five mins walk from the beautiful dune backed sandy bay.
Walked up to the Freshwater Inn through the dunes. Ok for a pint. Very quiet. Lacked a bit of atmosphere, although landlord was very chatty.
Did not eat there so can not comment on the food.Very steep hill walk to pub by road.
Parked van at Stakpole Quay (free for NT members)Narrow approach road. Coast walk to Barufundle Bay then onto Broadhaven, then round Bosherton Lily ponds, beautiful, one of the best coast walks ever.
Ate at a lovely pub at Bosherton, just up the road from NT car park. Very nice.
Car needed to go elsewhere/shops. Good walking direct from site.
Another pub, just to the right when you leave site is The Sloop Inn? Opened at 6 when we were there.Food, Sky tv, pool table. OK. No real ale so hubbie wasn't that keen! Close though if you have been out all day!
Would definitely return, lovely area and site.

This site is up to the usual Caravan Club standards with immaculate toilet blocks and a well stocked shop. The wardens are very helpful and cheerful.
The site itself is on three levels sat in a valley by the sea. (You cannot see the sea from the site). I highly recommend this site if you are a dog owner as the beach is about a 2 minute walk from the site, is dog friendly, very clean, sandy and very scenic. An excellent beach for walking the dog every morning.
It was very windy the week we were there and being in a valley there was no hiding from the wind, but I suppose you can't book the weather.
Overall, a fantastic site not far from Tenby and I would highly recommend it. I would return to this site.

We stayed at this site for one night only while touring the area and only really chose this site due to its proximately to the beach which is just across the road.
Apart from the beach, the site is quite remote really so if you are expecting a jumping beach resort this is not the place for you!
You will find the usual Caravan Club facilities and customer service here, and the grounds are well groomed and presented. The EHU bollards also houses a TV hook up point which is the only way to get a signal.
Reception sells leads if you don’t have one. Don’t bring your mobile telephone or laptop to surf the web with mobile broadband and you won’t get any signal!
A great get away from it all site but lots to do in the area if you are prepared to drive.

Great welcome from the wardens on our first trip to Wales in our campervan. We arrived early evening but this wasn't a problem for them even though the site was very busy. There is a barrier to get in/out which you need a card for and no late arrivals pitches. Even though the site was fully booked it didn't seem crowded and was still peaceful.
The site is in a valley and is set out on terraces. The upper pitches get more sun but further to walk to the beach, though this is only across the road from the entrance so hardly a big trek anyway. At night there is little light pollution and the stars were beautiful. We could hear the sea from our campervan at night.
We chose to pitch near the entrance as this is where you walk your dog. Our last night the wind got up a bit and the van was rocking a bit with the pop top up, being in a valley I think may have 'funnelled' the wind.
No mobile reception on site, there is a phone box but minimum 60p call so quite pricey for short calls home etc. Also limited shopping facilities here, site shop has some items but you really need to bring your own provisions.
Usual high Caravan Club standards of toilet/shower blocks, with laundry facilities. A bit old in style but very clean and well maintained. We don't have a hook up and the wardens were happy for me to use the socket in the laundry for my hairdryer as the fixed hairdryer in the toilet block was a bit weak.
Freshwater East is a great sandy beach which allows dogs so was perfect for us. Looks like the locals make an effort to look after the place. Very limited facilities though here, if you want beachside cafes and fish and chips shops go elsewhere.
Very convenient to travel to other parts of Wales, we drove over to Deer Park to see seals one day, also went to the famous Barrafundle Bay just up the road (which considering you have to walk to the beach over a headland was surprisingly busy). Also Carew Castle was a good place to visit, you can take your dog in there as well.
If you want a peaceful place with limited shops / pubs / cafes etc then this place is great.

Spent 1 night on this site prior to sailing from Pembroke to Rosslare. Nice site with very helpful and friendly wardens. Long site with with mixture of hard-standing and grass pitches. Various toilet blocks. Short walk to beautiful beach. 20 mins drive to ferry terminal. Tesco and Asda in Pembroke on-route to ferry. Would definitely return for longer than overnight stay. Short driving distance to Tenby.

Typical caravan club site excellent and very clean wardens are very pleasant and very helpful. The grass pitches can be a bit on the slope. Toilet blocks clean but only 3 traps per block can be full in the morning.
Beaches are excellent in and around the area, Tenby very nice place but a bit rowdy at weekend night times. Overall an excellent stay and would return

I agree with most of the reviews on here. The site lives up to the usual Caravan Club standards, with clean toilet facilities and a neatly laid out site.
The pitches are of a reasonable size and are generally flat or with a slight slope. The grass pitches tend to slope more. The site itself is quite long and although relatively close to the beach, is quite a walk if you are pitched at the far end of the site.
The site is quite close to the beach. From reception to beach is about 600 yards, and involves walking up the access road, crossing the public road, and walking down a path. The sandy beach (through the sand dunes) is 'dog friendly' and the site has it's fair share of canine visitors.
There is a public pay car park near the road for those who wish to visit the beach but who do not wish to walk from the site. The is also a separate car park for those with a disabled badge, on the 'beach side' of the public road. The beach does have toilets.
The village of Freshwater East is up the hill and there is a pub (not sampled). The hill is quite steep, but most cars will make it pulling a suitable caravan, albeit very slowly. When arriving at the site, follow the instructions in the Caravan Club handbook - beware of SatNav instructions that might ask you to turn off the A477 at Milton. Carry straight on into Pembroke as the recommended route.
The nearest supermarkets (Tescos and Asda) are at Pembroke Dock. That can involve driving through Pembroke, which can have rather heavy traffic.
There are plenty of places to visit nearby, including the larger town of Tenby and it's neighbour, Saundersfoot. Nearer to Freshwater East is Manorbier (Castle + better for surf), other castles at Pembroke and Carew. Other places to visit include Bosherston Lily ponds, Stackpole Quay, Barafundle Bay (access via a walk only), St Goven's Chapel, Stack Rocks.
Further around is Freshwater West and Angle. Angle is a particular favourite of ours: visit the Old Point House pub - drinks reasonable priced and good meals. West Angle Bay has a good sandy beach and the car park is not only free, but is only separated from the beach by a wall. (Beach cafe and toilets).
The site is very quiet at night other than a few bleating sheep. Well worth a visit.

What a super site!
Just spent the weekend here and had a wonderful time. Admittedly the weather was on our side which certainly helped, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
The pitches although not completely level, weren't a problem to level the 'van on. I have to say, I'm not sure how easy it would be in a tent though!
The beach is around 5 minutes walk from the Reception area, about 15 minutes (with a two year old!) if you're at the far end of the site. Have to say, we didn't find the 'hill' a problem to and from the beach.
The beach itself was lovely and quiet with sand hills to the back of the sand area which provided a good wind break.
The toilet blocks were amongst the cleanest I have ever seen. Absolutely spotless and a credit to the wardens on the site.
Freshwater East has two pubs in the village, the TYF adventure centre and the Freshwater Inn. The latter being the better for food. There are also a couple of pubs recommended in the Good Pub Guide also in the vicinity.
Tenby is about a 10 mile drive away. Access is easy using the Caravan Club's directions, there is a slightly shorter route, but I wouldn't like to try it with a larger van, but it was fine with our 18ft Cristall Sprint.
A fabulous site that we will most definitely return to.
