We visited this campsite on one of our journeys to visit Bath Dog Championship Show 2009. We were made extremely welcome - lovely field to walk the dogs - extremely nice toilet block - new. It is a lovely quiet location - neat and tidy and the owners are very welcoming. A good pub about 5-7 minutes on the road - path all the way - and eggs from the owners at a good price.
Only thing we would have liked - a washing up area - managed in our campervan - but would have liked to have washed up at a specific point. Could easily be done at the side of the new toilet block - but would not put us off going next year - at least we would know it was not available.
Lovely site - extremely good area and quiet - hard to find nowadays - no honky tonk etc.

Bury View appears to be more set up for residents in a number of statics and for people who store their caravans year round and stay regularly. This is probably why this is the first review in three years.
The site is well maintained, flat and secure, apart from a small toilet block there are no other facilities, unfortunately the toilet block is not in a very good state, although the sinks and toilets themselves were clean the block in general wasn't, it was damp and mouldy.
The toilets aside, I received a friendly welcome and it was only £12 a night with hookup, although there are no hardstanding, most other sites in the area are approaching £20 a night.
To sum up, good site if you're simply going to sleep there and don't need to use the toilet block.
** March 2009 - Note from site owners in response: The toilet blocks are about to be updated **

A very nice friendly site run by Jim and Sally. The grass around the flat site is always kept nice and short and the gardens/flower beds are well looked after. The gate to the site is always kept locked by use of a combination lock on a barrier, and with Jim & Sally on site, everything is pretty secure. The toilets and wash facilities are in a pota-cabin with plenty of hot running water and nice hot showers. Most pitches at the house end of the site have electric hookups, whilst at the lower end there is space for tents, etc. All in all, a very nice clean friendly site
