Spent 5 days at the site at the beginning of June.
Lovely peaceful site in a wooded valley. No entertainment complex or other noise etc which was great, just a quiet relaxed site with walks through the adjoining woods.
A short walk along the river to the town of Chateaulin (about 15 mins I guess).
The British owners. Marcus amd Julie were extremely helpful and welcoming and you quickly regard them as friends rather than just the site owners. We had poor weather on many days and are not very good with the French language and the owners helped us out when ordering Taxis etc.
I would recommend this site to anyone for a quiet, getaway from it all break. We went from Plymouth to Roscoff and it is about an hours drive and the site signposted from Chateaulin.
Would definitely go there again.

This site is a hidden gem. We found it quite by accident when on our way back up to port and stayed for 4 nights.
It has recently been taken over by new English owners ( 2 weeks before our arrival there ).
The pitches are incredibly spacious, the toilet block was the cleanest I have ever seen and the welcome provided by the owners second to none.
We ordered bread etc on a daily basis and this was actually brought to the caravan door by the owners, they couldn't help enough.
The area is outstandingly beautiful with plenty to see and do.
There was a beautiful walk alongside the river into the little town which was full of great places to eat, plus all the usual shops.
Having travelled extensively in France and stayed on many campsites I can honestly say this is one of the best.

On arrival we were given a quick tour of the facilities by our friendly English host Colin. The facilities block has plenty of showers/WCs and sinks to cater for a full site. The block and its various cubicles are clean and in good order, though water can pool a little in the common areas.
The site is less than two minutes drive (15 minute stroll) from the village of Chateaulin and is a hundred yards from the river which winds away from the village. A small drive leading from one end of the site back to the entrance separates the pitches and there is a coniferous wood on either side of the site but theres plenty of sunshine to enjoy. The pitches are all grass, flat or slightly sloped and vary in size catering up to multiple or xxl tents/ units. Pitches are all grass, separated by waist high light hedgeing and there are some pitches in the adjacent woods if thats your preference. There is no bar club or shop on site.
So thats the factual stuff done !
This site is just great. Theres a small playground for kids but nothing on a grand scale. The kids seemed to be enjoying themselves though. Good to see mums and dads playing with their offspring. There was a big mix of families, couples and age groups (and units - tents trailers campervans etc). Visually the site is very attractive and well looked after without being too preened or artificial. The place has a nice feel to it with a bit of chatter around but without being too big. This makes relaxing easy.We spent most of the time just taking things easy, bottle of wine, bread, cheese, another bottle of wine. The village is quiet and has about half a dozen restaurants and three or four bars so theres liveliness to break up the peace if needed.
I would recommend this site without reserve. If you need pools clubs and noise its probably not for you, though as I say families were doing fine when we were there. Book with confidence
