A great place to stay. The weather helped but the site was clean and had very good facilities. You could see the site was being renovated but the hard work was we think rewarding.
The site, s owners where very friendly and accommodating as was the rest of the family. We ate out, whilst there, in other words out of the motor home and up at the small outdoor part of the restaurant. We arrived with our dog who is so laid back she's horizontal and she was treated really well. We had a short walk along the riverside which was good.
The owners where very open talking about what they would like to achieve I hope their plans come to fruition. Well recommended.

Lovely site on the banks of the river Aisne. Short walk into the village which is not very big - basically boulangerie, butcher and news. But you can get the train from the station right to the centre of Reims which is well worth a visit.
Now privately owned the new owners have a two year improvement plan, Already there's a covered pool, small bar/snacks and a new toilet block is planned. There are good-sized (some very large!) grass pitches. Good for overnight stops, or for a couple of peaceful, lazy days. At present not a lot for the kiddies. Nice walks along river.

We planned to stay for 4 nights & extended our stay to 7 nights. Lovely site, easy access to Reims, Laon & surrounding area.
Owners Didier & Caroline are lovely & very friendly, my husband is disabled with poor mobility & they couldn't have been more helpful. They have an on going programme of improvements & asked for our input regarding facilities for disabled people.
We would definitely go back, for a stop over or longer stay.
Would rate the site facilities higher once new toilet shore block complete.
Hope a laundry facility is in the plans too.

An excellent site for either stopover on the way through France or longer. The site is now privately run and no longer municipal, it is also open until the end of October. The new owners are very friendly speak good English and are looking to make yet even more improvements next year. This will include updating shower block, a fitness suite and the building of chalets for rent. The site is located alongside a lovely river with good dog walks, and very close to the A26 autoroute exit. This is a beautiful location, friendly and well managed site well worth visiting.

We spent two weeks on this attractive quiet site located next to the river. It has been modernised by the new owners, who speak good English, with more improvements to come for next year. There is a heated covered swimming pool and other things for children to do. The pitches are quite large, well laid out and clearly marked. Toilets and shower block are clean. A bread van calls on the site each morning offering bread and croissants. There is a café/bar on site that offers food.
The river provides a good walk with the chance to see lots of wildlife including red squirrels, kingfishers, coypu and various birds of prey. The village is attractive and has a supermarket, baker’s shops and banks.
The river can be used for fishing and there are good walking and cycle routes. It is an excellent location to explore the Champagne area and battlefields from the first world war. The Caverne du Dragon is well worth a visit. A regular train service from the village allows you to visit Reims or Laon.

We stayed here on the way to the south and what a great site it is.
Owners speak good English and are in the process of upgrading the site to a very good quality.
Really nice people.
Brand new swimming pool just completed and restaurant serves basic menu at present although they hope to have a chef for 2012 to expand the menu.
Food is good value and pitches are all of a good size.
We stopped there on the way back also approx 2. 5 hours from calais
They plan to upgrade the showers for next year as they are old but very clean we will definitely use next year.

A stop over 1 night for us heading homewards via the tunnel. Easy to find and on arrival given the option to pick wherever we liked to pitch by the friendly owners.
A much bigger site than our norm this but picked for it's convenience. However, even at 100 odd spaces it was perhaps only half full so lots of room and generally a very quiet feel. Seemed to be a mix of 1 or 2 nighters and those there for the long term - half a dozen French caravans with their planted flower beds etc !
Toilet block not the best I've seen - a mix of sit down and squat loos, no loo roll (although there were empty containers) and no soap at basins (although again empty containers). Didn't try the showers which were push button variety. All reasonably clean but a makeover wouldn't go amiss.
Swimming pool and small trampoline enjoyed by the children. And we took the easy option of eating in their v reasonably priced snack bar - pizza, chicken and chips ( I know - but it was our last night !)
Felt it pricey at 26 euros for tent, 2 adults and 2 kids, no elec (although this was accessible to every pitch we just need it for one night) but nevertheless would consist again as stop over.

Excellent campsite, quiet and peaceful location, situated by a river. We originally intended to stay only 2 nights but ended up staying 10 because of a problem with our car. The owners, who speak good English, were exceptionally helpful during our stay. The pitches are large, spacious and well kept, fresh bread and croissants are delivered each morning. There is a small bar which serves food, an enclosed swimming pool and other leisure facilities available. The local village has a well stocked supermarket and other basic facilities. We definitely intend to return next year.

We used this as an overnight stop on our way back to the Channel tunnel. It's an open, level, grassy site with roomy pitches, and was very quiet when we were there. The toilet facilities were clean and functional rather than attractive. There was loo paper but no seats.
There was plenty of information in reception about the area, especially the WW1 sites.
A bread van comes every morning between 8.30 and 9, but this is a bit late for anyone catching a morning ferry/train. However there is a Carrefour supermarket in the town.
At 19.50 euros a night it was more than we had been paying for ACSI sites, but still good value.

We stopped off here for one night on our way south to Reims and the Champagne trail.
The site was very quiet (even though it was Easter) with friendly staff who spoke English. We chose a spot down by the river which was fine, electric hook-up was available. The village is small and picturesque, but has a great Carrefour with tiny petrol station within easy walking distance and an all important boulangerie to supply you with an early morning baguette. The showers and toilets were clean and the water was warm. We paid 22Euros for one night for 3 people, so great value. You can also catch a train to Reims from the village.
