Very secluded site, well off the beaten track.
The host is a really nice gentleman who constantly pays attention to the guests.
Only query I have is that the writeup says only 20 minutes walk to Rhosneigr, but, we walked for half an hour and were still half hour away.
Toilets and showers were well looked after. Showers are also free.

Brilliant site, all amenities that you need. Carl is very friendly and on hand when you need him. Lovely walk into town and harbour across the golf course but beware of tide times to walk back 😂
Lovely and quiet brilliant for catching up with friends, in a couple or travelling alone. Very narrow path on way to site but most people pull over onto the grass to let you pass.
Well done guys!

We have been coming here for the last couple of years now as a family of 5. I only have excellent things to say about this campsite.
It is in a very quiet area perfect for kids to run free. You have the RAF air base along side the caravan park which in the week when they fly is amazing to watch.
As a family who love being outdoors this site is perfect for us. The owners are very welcoming and great to get along with.
The shower blocks are the best I have seen by far. I would 100 % recommend.

Initially booked a 5 night stay but stayed for 6 nights in total. Situated next to the RAF base in Valley and our caravan was directly in front of the train line. This was aware to me when I booked as my husband is a fan of any type of aircraft.
My 3 year old son would wave at the passing trains and be delighted when he received a toot in return. He also enjoyed waving to the planes and informing me that the pilot had seen him because he had flashed his lights at him!
Showerblock a bit dated and basic. Plenty of room for the children to play and very safe.
The drive up to the site is very rough ground but this did not really bother us. Lovely beaches to visit i.E Rhosneigr, Treaddur Bay, Rhoscolyn to name a few. We also visited the South Stack Lighthouse in Holyhead. Lots of shops and supermarkets in Holyhead.

We have just spent 3 days at this site and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
The main priority for us when we go camping is to ensure the kids have plenty of space to play which is most definitely the case at Trewan Sands.
The trains passing by the site added to the fun rather than disrupting our stay.
The toilets/shower blocks where extremely clean and well maintained and the lady who runs the place was friendly and very helpful.
The site is off the beaten track and I would advise anyone who visits to stock up well before arriving on site.

This site is isolated and wish the owners had warned us of this and many of the other down sides to the site before booking. At £25. 00 per night I expected a lot more than a field and a shower block.
After making the three mile journey down a very undeveloped track, which takes at least 10 mins if you don't want to lose any bits of your car or touring caravan.
We arrived to a symphony of roaring jet engines and trains. RAF Valley is literally over the fence, as is the railway line. Both start around 6am every morning. The radar is a couple of hundred yards away, hence no reception on the television. On the other side of the site is scrub land, home to lots of sheep and is quite smelly.
Friends of ours were staying in one of the site static caravans. We scoured the welcome book for any places to go. We decided to follow the directions to a 'nearby' beach (stated 1 mile) after an hour trek, over the scrub land, which was quite unpleasant. With no beach in site we gave it up as a bad job and turned back.
The child friendly farmyard was non existent and was stated in the hand book was out of bounds anyway. And as for shops, (nearest supermarket in Holyhead, so stock up) place to eat and somewhere to have a drink within 1 mile as stated is a joke, as its 3 miles just to get off the site.
We did ring the owners and asked for a refund as we were so disappointed with the site. But were told, it was not their fault we didn't like the site. I thought as they didn't live on site, that they would come and see us to discuss the situation. But no they never bothered
We only managed 2 nights and our friends 4 nights.

Caravan, 2 adults, 2 kids (4 and nearly 6)
Word of warning - don't try to come from the Rhosneigr road (A4080 to Capel Gwyn) with a caravan on the back - the lanes are very narrow! We had a twit of a driver coming the other way who expected us to back out of his way and then said as we passed (while laughing) 'You'll get very stuck down there!'). Suffice to say, we didn't but I wouldn't ever do that route again. Use the road that runs between Llanfaelog and Bryngwran. This site has a misleading postcode. We stopped at the Caravan Club site feeling a bit confused as the name was different. A kindly lady pointed to the road ahead of us saying that we needed to carry on down there towards the level crossing! So on we went very slowly along a very badly kept road. This road crosses Trewan Common, which is part scrubland covered in gorse and partly golf course. Eventually we spotted the farmhouse in the distance as a train went past at the back of it. Now my apprehension was building! I could see a train and the radar tower for RAF Valley!
After we went through the gate to the site we asked where to put ourselves. We had said we were coming as a family group so the owner reserved a field especially for us to all go in. We had plenty of space in our own field. There is a 4ft high dry stone wall separating the site from the railway (topped with barbed-wire). Kids didn't seem interested in trying to go over it so wasn't too worried about it. Also had electric fencing round edge of field for farm animals but it was turned off while we were in there.
We set up and the next thing - a jet takes off practically parallel with the site. Now if I hadn't absolutely loved RAF Valley and all the planes I'd be crying at this point, but as I love all the aerial antics I suddenly felt quite happy with the site. You really do get used to the trains passing and the planes taking off. The road to the site really does need work. Tesco isn't too far away at Holyhead, Rhosneigr is great for chippy lunch and (would you believe it?) Fatface shop. We visited Llynnon Mill while staying - nice little family trip - not expensive unlike some Anglesey attractions.
We paid £20 per night which I think was a bit expensive given the location. But this did include electric hook-up. Pitches are all very level so ideal for tenting, though not too sheltered and there was a tremendous wind on the day my sister and family were trying to set up there tent! We had to get all the kids to sit on it while we pegged it (had visions of a 6-berth tent catching on the front of the 3.15 to Holyhead!). Wind did die down the next day. Give it 3/5 but only really because of the rocky road.
