We visited this site after the late May Bank Holiday. It was quiet, well run and tidy site at the time with good level pitches with electric hook up. Site owners were friendly but always busy running the place and we manage to catch them only the day before we left! Price was reasonable for all pitches as were facilities but seems more attention to static caravans. Proximity to RAF Valley and mainline trains may put some people off but never bothered us and our family as it had their attention all the time!
Access to site is some distance from main road across open common land and a largely unmade road, hang onto your hat here! Closest village is Rhosniger as its only about a mile or so by the public footpath. You could drive here and park by the public library. Holyhead is a 10 minute jaunt to collect those essential supplies and the previous review to stock up is well noted. We feel most would find this site an ideal base to visit the nw corner of the island and also to jump on the ferry to Dublin. Still plenty of scope to expand this little gem and concentrate on all areas including possible further develoment to the washing facilities as too much emphasis on combined toilet and shower blocks. This site certainly has future and is worth a visit.

Nice little site. Newly constructed showers/toilet block - downside to these were they were like little bathrooms and this meant lots of queues and I never think it is a good idea to combine loo and showers - for obvious reasons! Site was very flat, clean, well maintained and caretakers were really down to earth and friendly. Also a good sun trap whatever pitch you were allocated. No shops within 4 miles and the road leading to the site was long, narrow and unadopted so I suggest you stock up before you go so you don't have to struggle with the pot holes in the road everytime you need something. You can access Rhosneiger by foot directly from the site, approximately 1 mile walk. The airbase was immediately next to site so I am sure most of the year you would suffer some noise but seeing it was bank holiday when we went, we didn't encounter noise. I wouldn't return to Rhosneiger as I found it small, full of surfers, difficult to park, very expensive oh and very windy - hence this being a popular place for windsurfers! The site itself was fine but definitely not 4*. Basic but then again it was very cheap so I would say "Value to Money"
