We have been going to the globe for a few years now , when we first went it was in a trailertent, now we have upgraded to a caravan! This year, as always, we went to the Globe for Easter with the kids and some friends The globe is friendly and the owners are very helpful and easy going. Food is good in the pub, or if you ask nicely they bring it to your caravan. How's that for service? The globe now has a shower, elsan point, outside toilet and fresh water point. They only have 4 electric points which we feel are in the wrong place, they could be moved further down the field and then some more added across the other side of the field. Up until this Easter they were only allowed 5 units now they are allowed more, there was 13 this Easter and we had great fun.

I have just spent a very nice weekend at this campsite and echo all of Marieandrobert's comments.
The main problem for tent folk is the lack of a toilet when the pub is closed - this is where you have to exercise a little self control!
Very reasonable rates and check out the Sunday lunch - all homecooked and delicious!
There are no washing up facilities so as always the trusty paper plates were packed.
I noticed the local ramblers meeting in the carpark on the Sunday morning so I guess if you fancied a ten-mile walk you could join them!
Snarestone is a very nice picturesque village but does not have any facilities; as has been mentioned before Measham is close at hand.

Very nice quiet country site, set on a grassy low cut gently sloping field, behind the Inn.
The Globe Inn has an assortment of meals and plenty of good ales / wines / spirits.
They also sell a few groceries should you run out of milk etc.
The owners are very pleasant and helpful.
The locals who call in at The Globe Inn are also friendly and pleasant.
There is a large enclosed children's play area.
There are Electric hook ups, chemical disposable point/toilet and Drinking water.
Toilets are open during Pub hours.
Touring caravans and tents are very welcome.
The village and the surrounding areas are ideal for walking or cycling. The Ashby canal runs aside the Inn and has a delightful tow path which takes you to the terminus, just past Bridge 61. This marks the end of the Ashby canal for the boats. You can continue your walk further for approx 0.75 mile taking in some beautiful views. There are no nearby shops or supermarkets.
In Measham, approx 3 miles, you will find: Tescos, Take aways, Newsagent and a Hardware shop.
A short drive down the B4116 then right onto the A444 will bring you to Twycross Zoo.
The Hatting town of Atherstone B4116 caters for all your needs including Swimming baths and 3 Supermarkets.
The Globe Inn is well worth a Visit.
