It was our first outing in our camper van
And we absolutely love Les our stay.
The site was brilliant.
We were pinched by the kids park(they loved it)
Close to the showers and toilets.
The park was clean and all really friendly ☺️
We had a Chinese delivered on site (was really nice)
We will definitely be returning.
Highly recommended for family’s

Our visit to the site was with mixed feelings.
The site was a little run down. It was in a lovely spot with a lovely pub the food smelt good friendly pub and people. The grass cuttings were left piled up at the back the the pitch rotting like compost, and an old plastic tub with stagnant water in it both causing a lot of flies. The shower wasn't working, and there was an outside sink? The toilet was in need of a clean, the floor was covered in leaves and the walls cob webs.
The man next doors caravan waste was over flowing and smelt bad. I told him and he emptied it down the fresh water drain not the sluice.
When they find a new publican I hope he spends time on the site as it's a nice little place would I go back yes as long as it was on a different pitch.
Could not pay my bill as No manager there to take my money. Chef couldn't do it.
Called when I got home but mail box full and couldn't take message.
I will call back again to make payment.
Lots of local food places.
Butchers, farm shop, and lots of local pubs and Bosworth just down the road and the Shakerstone railway Measham just down the road so lots of things to visit.
The cost per night would be £20 🫣

Lovely site, a little cramped but still nice.
Food at the pub was really nice and great walks along the canal.
The pub had plenty of stuff to amuse the kids.
Pub had a nice decor 👍

We had a lovely weekend here at the globe. Stunning location, which I want to keep a secret we love it that much ;)
Staff all’s friendly and welcoming. Great garden for the kids to play in.
We shall most certainly be visiting again, just hope for drier weather next time!

Just came for a one night adventure to get away during covid.
The pub is lovely, great staff and the food was absolutely fantastic! Tiny village location.
Very Few others were camping so plenty of space, very quiet, and EHU fine.
Only downside was lack of hand washing facilities for campers - just one outdoor sink with no soap or hot water. Shower looked OK but we didn't use it.
Would go again :)

Had such a lovely couple of days in a beautiful environment, the Globe is a truly wonderful example of a British pub, food fantastic.
Thanks to the chefs and such wonderful friendly staff too.
Only ten minutes walk to the Alpaca Farm and its lovely cafe we also had a taxi to Twycross zoo and had a great day despite the inclement weather,
Well definitely be back!

Campsite is across the car park from the pub. Grass standing with ehu, fresh water, it was quiet when we visited which was nice as the site only has one toilet and one shower cubicle.
The facilities are very basic with no indoor wash hand basin and no chemical disposal facilities. There is a basin outside on the wall for you to clean your teeth.
The charge per night was £18, didn't use the pub for food but did have a drink there, the pub is very modern and everyone was very friendly.
There is a lovely canal walk literally just a few steps from the site. Used as a base to visit other places dotted around.

Really nice pub with excellent meals. Even though they were fully booked, they accommodated us as we were staying on site.
Great for walking in either direction alongside the Ashby canal.
The bar staff were friendly and accommodating as well as the locals. The pub itself is dog friendly and they are allowed in all areas except for the restaurant.
The site is set back from the carpark and EHU is provided for each pitch. Caravans with awnings may find the distance between pitches a little tight though.
The shower (one only) is in an outbuilding adjacent to the pub as is the one toilet. These were basic but clean.
Drinks were not expensive, which I found surprising as it is the only pub there with a good selection of drinks.
Would we go again? Yes!

We actually love this place -- but agree that price versus facilities are pretty poor --
not nice using an outside sink to brush teeth in --
however most caravans have full facilities -so that is choice --
massive concerns about space between caravans - it's a Pub - drinkers sometimes don't think -- so distance needs to be sorted - plus vans so close together you can hear neighbours snoring - if this sorted -- top site --
top pub/restaurant
