 We stumbled across this site by accident but what a stroke of luck because it's lovely! The site itself is in a beautiful spot, with a stream running down one side- but fenced off for those people who have small children.
There is plenty of room for frisbee, rounders etc. It is grassy, level and well drained, getting the sun for most of the day. The site has it's own spring water which tastes lovely but best of all the owners hire out fire grates and wood and kindling!
The owners were very friendly and helpful, and can even provide a breakfast!
The toilet/ shower was of a very high standard, but there is only one which may be difficult if the site was busy. The only other down side is that cars aren't allowed into the meadow- although this keeps the field in tip top condition. However the owners provide a wheel barrow for your stuff, and offered plenty of help. They might even use the trailer on the back of a ride on mower to cart your stuff back to the car!
Can't comment on local facilities because we didn't leave the site it was so lovely!
We'll be recommending this laid back site to anyone looking for a traditional camping holiday.
