Stayed a night here on our travels through Wales - being in a 8m long motorhome the lane up to the site was a little daunting but we managed with no oncoming traffic.
The site has some fantastic views of the sea - which comes with some blustery winds !
Owners were very friendly.

We stayed in the beautiful static on this site, and what a joy it was. Spacious and clean and a power shower to die for, you just don't want to come out.
The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Bit of a walk from the campsite but not too far to the town.
Would certainly use again if we are in new quay.

Excellent base for our week's holiday in the area. Please don't be put off by the very narrow lane to access the site. During our full week we never once met another vehicle!
Andy & Helen are so friendly and welcoming, the site is so peaceful with wonderful views although it is a little exposed in the wind and rain which we had to endure for the first few days!
The washroom facility is quite adequate when you get used to it.
Do head for the coastal path which is only across 2 fields just up the lane. Also it's a steady 40 minutes walk down to Newquay itself, super traditional fishing/seaside village. Thoroughly recommend The Lime Crab for your fish and chips.

Small very well maintained farm owned campsite with lovely views of the sea. Very friendly owners who are on site to help with anything and are very pleasant to talk to.
Toilet and shower very clean and lots of hot water - only one shower and one toilet for the site but we were one of 3 vans there and was totally fine.
Turn left out the site and 5 mins across a field to the coastal walk and turn right to the pub within 10 mins. Spent a fab few hours in the pub-didn't eat but food looked plentiful and yummy.
Walk into New Quay in 20 mins down a steep hill but was nice to have a meal, coffee and beer before we came back up-stopping at the pub for refreshments.
Will be going back-very dog friendly and good value.

Spent a fantastic week camping at Ty Rhos. The site was small but well maintained. Basic facilities but we weren't looking for all the noise and mayhem that comes with the bigger holiday parks.
The facilities were well maintained and the site well located with a variety of beaches being a short drive. Coastal path a short walk away and beautiful views from the site itself which was level and the grounds well maintained.
Gave 8 out of 10 for facilities but have to say there was endless hot water at no charge, Andy and Helen also have plans to build new shower and toilet facilities. Begrudge giving anything less than 10 but must be honest.
Helen and Andrew were great, always putting the needs of their campers first, even at a time of great personal stress. We can't speak highly enough of their warm and welcoming reception. Great family friendly site which also accepts dogs. Will definitely visit again soon.

Lovely setting but not enough facilities for amount of campers. 2 full fields and only 2 toilets 1 a portaloo and 2 showers again, 1 portable. The owners are lovely people, very friendly.
It was the height of the season so didn't expect peace and quiet, but no play facilities for children and children were playing around tents and caravans without supervision.
Only 3 grass hook ups, others were put on connectors and tents were very close together so wires would reach. Really needs set pitches so campers had there own space.
Lots of lovely places to walk our dogs and lovely scenery.

Lovely clean site and facilities, excellent views, friendly helpful owners. We spent 5 nights over Easter, although weather could have been better for us, lots of rain and VERY high winds!
We got stuck on field on arrival but Andy 'unstuck' us and helped get us set up. Excellently positioned for coastal walking. Pub at bottom of hill serving good beer and good pub grub. Not too far of a walk into New Quay, quite a stiff climb back ! Would visit again.

Fantastic campsite, recommend to anyone. Suitable for children, pets or neither! Love flat, well kept field, with perfect firmness for tent pegs. Also has electric hook up available for tents.
Quite a small campsite with beautiful views, and only a short walk (plus a field!) to the coatal path. Which by the way has breathtaking views. A lovely walk even if youre not that energetic. C
lean toilets and showers on site and washing dishes facilities. New Quay a short drive away (walkable distance) with a cute pebbley and sandy beach and plenty of places to eat if that's what you want. The Dolau pub had lovely staff, great service and dog friendly.
Very impressed with everything (not often I write a review!). So get to Ty Rhos farm with your tent, caravan or motorhome. The owners are great, the campsite is great and so are the views and amenities

Stopped for one night whilst touring Wales. A good gravel track takes you round the field to the hard-standing pitches, so there are no worries about getting stuck in any soft ground.
The facilities were fine for us, although only one toilet, as it was only us there, no queues etc. The shower worked well and had good water pressure.
It was a short walk across the fields to the coast path and then on round to New Quay.
It was a good little site that we wouldn't have a problem with staying at again.

Good first impressions, solid hard standing pitch, nice sea views, friendly welcome. But then we were joined by 29 other units - which came as a bit of a surprise given the site is advertised as only having 5. Still, great coast walk into New Quay, a very busy, if picturesque, harbour town. Very steep walk back mind, so you might want to get a taxi. Site entrance road is narrow, so caravans and motorhomes need to take great care. Unfortunately the facilities (a portaloo and a toilet in a shed) are completely unacceptable, and far too many dogs roaming free, so we will not be going back.
