Great place to stay. Really friendly owners. Spot on the field which wasn't so busy, hot shower and toilet 7£ per person and a view, . Priceless!
Only downside could be if too many people want to get to toilet or shower so could get to long wait times.

This is a lovely spot, an attractive farm in quiet area with fantastic open skies and views, the owners were really helpful and friendly.
The site is on a slope but there are few flat areas at the bottom and the top of the slopes. There are electric hooks ups but we didn’t use them. There is a water tap on site.
The only drawback is the toilet/shower in the same room which is on the Farm. It is basic, and you may have to wait if others are using either the shower or toilet. A compost toilet on site would be a help
Overall if you’re ‘looking for a quiet campsite and a real beautiful view, This is a very special place

Fantastic views, and friendly owners. They were having to self isolate at the time of our visit, so we couldn't use all the facilities, but they warned us in advance and it didn't affect our stay.
We'd definitely return!

I left a review from my visit a few years back - still just as good - just a slightly higher charge at £7pppn - hook-up extra.
They've now added 3 level bays suitable for medium motor home or medium caravan near the hook-up point - I found a decent level area at the top of the field with gorgeous views towards the sunset and a few interested sheep for neighbours. (just a bit breezy in April!)
I discovered the best way to contact them is by phone - not through the website - so give them a phone call - they're lovely people and very helpful.
Loo and shower closed during Covid at the moment but their toilet emptying manhole is available

Very basic facilities; good hot shower, washbasin and WC. Inexpensive. Beautiful, quiet, remote location.
Brilliant pub food at Tanners Arms, Defynnog about 2 miles away. Extremely friendly and hospitable owners.
Couldn't have been more helpful.
Very happy memories despite wet weather.

Our type of site! A warm welcome, farm, field, hot shower and clean toilet.
As others have said the camp site is basically a field on a hill. The flat spots are at the bottom near the electric but there are a few other places if you look.
We were the only ones on the campsite for the entire weekend! That’s a plus in my book!
The toilet and shower are at the back of the farmhouse and there is only one but it’s warm and clean.
£6 per night per person and £6 per night if you want electric.

I hesitate to give the glowing review this site deserves as I don't want too many people to find it! However this is just so lovely and simple - a field, a tap, lovely views of rolling hills and a great location for walking in the Brecon Beacons. There are 4 hook-up points if you need elec. , a free shower (modern and clean) and facility to empty a chemical toilet. The couple are very friendly and helpful (not that I needed much help!). There are rabbits in the field and the odd kite patrolling overhead. All for £6pp/pn. (Hook-up extra)
There are downsides for some - much of the field is on quite a slope. There are some level areas - up the top or along the bottom - but not a lot. A trailer tent can be levelled up but ordinary tents could find it more difficult. There's just one shower and toilet (in the same room) at the farm house. That could mean queues in busier times I guess! (As it happens I was the only one on site that week!) The 4 hook-ups are all located in one point, at the tap - so advisable to bring a long cable. And its a working farm so the cockerel and other animals all start practising their farmyard impressions early! I quite like that but some may not! And there's nothing that would attract young families.
But I loved it and would go again.

A lovely meadow based campsite on a slight slope with basic facilities. The owners are very easy going people and made our stay relaxing. The campsite has a clean toilet and shower shared by all campers.
There are ample electric hook up points all in one cabinet and so if the site is busy you may need an extra long cable to reach the cabinet.
The lower part of the meadow is almost flat but the gradient increases as you move up the meadow.
The campsite is about 7 miles from the main Brecon Beacon walk starting points.
We would certainly camp here again as it was quiet, well cared for and with friendly owners.
The campsite is situated in a rural farming area with most facilities being a car journey or bike ride away.
There are Red Kites in the area and they are spectacular to see as they sour around the surrounding farm and woodland.
The chances are that you will drive past the campsite as the entrance is not easy to spot. If your GPS can take coordinates these will get you to the entrance N51. 922961 W3. 546982. The camping field is to the right of the farm house and its best to pull in to the camping field rather than the farm yard when you check-in.

This is a basic campsite, essentially a field with a tap and electricity hook-up. The field does have a fairly steep slope in places but I've always found a pitch without trouble.
There is a shower (double-sized cubicle) and lavatory attached to the farmhouse and, although a little shabby, both are always spotlessly clean.
The site is quiet, with splendid views over the valley and it is great to sit out in the evening with a drink and a book. The Tanner's Arms pub is about 15 minutes' walk away and is a very pleasant spot for dinner.
Llwynstyffilin's owners are charming and friendly. One evening I got talking to a bloke who had forgotten his tent poles and couldn't pitch his tent. The farmer's wife was sweeping out the barn so that he could sleep there - very nice.
If you are a basic camper looking for a quiet, cheap, pleasant site, you can't do better than this one.

Initial impressions of the campsite were of the tranquillity, views and friendliness of the owners.
This is a basic campsite, in that there is one bathroom which includes a toilet, sink and shower, there is a water point and some electric hook up.
There are flatter areas on the field than we were but they are few and far between!
The charges are very simple, its £5 per person, whatever you are in! and £5 per night for electric hook up.
Easy access to Brecon, Sennybridge and the surrounding areas.
Great if you like basic or are a backpacker, not so much if you are a family with young children!
