 Just returned from a weekend camping on this site. The owners are nice and helpful. Great for fishermen only a quick walk to the river bank, owner is a fisherman himself so knows how the river is fishing.
This is the ideal get away from it all site, well worth a visit.
Shop for bread milk etc is 5 miles away, and well stocked.
The views from the site are spectacular, we will be returning, and checking out the surrounding area. The site is right next to Melverley Church, pub is a hop skip and jump away, do go before 6pm if you want to eat cheaply, gets pricey after then.
Toilets/shower is clean and see the owners round regularly checking and cleaning. Only one shower (which are free) tricky to use, but wasn't a problem when we were there as not many campers and only a few in caravans. Use of fridge / freezer is fantastic.
Would highly recommend this site for the person that likes to get away from it all and just relax!

What a gorgeous site. Very quiet and the views are to die for. I don't normally post reviews but I was so impressed I felt compelled to do so. The new owners have only taken over three weeks ago and it seems to me have hit the ground running.
The grass is well groomed. The toilet / shower facilities are spotless. The river is just over the fence so if you're a fisherman / woman or like canoeing as we do the location is perfect.
The historic church is a stones throw away and there is plenty of beautiful walks through the countryside. I can't praise it enough absolutely tranquil. We have two daughters who are 4 and 10 and I felt that they were completely safe from both the river and roads.
The pub across the road is very pleasant and homely, although I would recommend booking (maybe it was the warm weather ) but we couldn't get a table to eat although other people on the campsite said the food was beautiful. I'll be going back again and again
