 Our first trip and first site. The setting was nice and the site spacious. The toilets were very clean. Nice quiet site. We enjoyed our visit and will be back later in the year. Some noise could be heard from the A1M but it did not disturb us and we are not used to lots of traffic noise.

A really good basic site, there is a toilet block with two cubicles and sinks, but no showers - Kept in good condition though. Set in a pretty village, but I don't think there was a pub... there were services down the nearby road, the noise from which is barely noticeable. This is a nice site for a quiet short break, one that I would revisit.

It was a very quiet site. In two large fields, and one tree filled grove, that wasn't open that weekend. the Toliets were clean, and I was camping. :-)
I phoned up the site owner on the Friday the morning and said I wanted to book she said something like, in the rain? I said yes. Just as we had decided where to pitch the tent she came along to collect the money, that was all we saw of her all weekend. Nothing on site, and no shops in the village, but Baldock services is about a mile away, with fast food, and a small grocery store. The Large Tesco is in Baldock about 5 (?) miles away.

A lovely quiet site. Very basic but that is what I loved about it. Visited with my son for the weekend and had a great time. Will definetly be going back. Not for those who like plenty of facilites, but toilets were spotless and more than adequate. Don't know about nearby pubs as we spent the time on site. Give it a go if you just want a quiet weekend.
