Have stayed on Morris Leisure sites in other areas. Decided to try this very new site in Llanberis. Found it to be a very well laid out with excellent facilities. Just a short walk from the village. Wardens are most friendly and helpful.
One of our party in a trailer tent had difficulties having left the site for the journey home. Wheel bearings had given up. The wardens very kindly allowed the unit to return to site (beyond their time of duty) and store whilst a repair is organised.
Very good walking from the site through the adjacent woodland.
Dogs well catered for.
I will certainly return to this site.

Just returned from our first touring caravan trip, booked a week at Llanberis from 29th July to 5th August, then moved on to another site before returning home. Would highly recommend this site, it is in a beautiful setting, with fabulous views, very clean and well maintained, so tranquil, very relaxing holiday. There was a woodland behind the site, which our dog couldn't wait to get in to, to be able to run around. Very close to lots of activities, including Snowdon, Electric mountain. Spar close by for essentials, although the site itself had some provisions.

An immaculate site with wonderful views and very quiet. We walked into the village where there is a small supermarket that we were able to get all we needed. Caernarfon is close by with a Morrisons and Tesco, and Bangor isn't much further with an outdoor 24 hour laundrette. Handy after torrential rain!
The woodland adjacent to the site is excellent for dog walking although it would be nice if this was bushes rather than a wire fence as the dogs in the caravans bark every time some one walks down the path.
The shower block is clean, warm and the cubicles are very roomy with turn on taps not buttons.
Our only gripe is that although we were handed a slip of paper stating dogs must be kept on a lead at all times not everyone adheres to this and the free range dogs wandering about set off the other restrained dogs with their barking and also they accosted visitors walking about the site. Although we asked the wardens to have a word there was no change to the situation. There are CCTV cameras on site so it was very easy to see the dogs parading about. I have deducted stars to reflect this, also the child friendliness as the dogs ran after the children.

A top of the range site which we visited for it's location, not because of what it had to offer. We normally use less formal sites so this was different. Good location to walk into town for meals or shopping, food and outdoor clothing, in particular. 36 hours of torrential rain would have induced panic about how to get off many sites but all the hardstanding and gravel roadways meant there were no problems.

This site is immaculate and only a short walk from Llanberis itself. We had a hardstanding pitch with hookup and all the pitches are very spacious with ample separation from adjacent pitches.
The facilities are very clean and tidy and the showers hot and a good pressure.
The staff are excellent, friendly and beyond helpful.
There is nothing not to like about this site!

Our first visit to this park, but been visiting this village for sixty years, a great place, great locals and now a great site to stay at. I have to wonder at the concerns of other visitors who seem worried about the public footpath bordering the site, as in all the years I have been camping/caravanning, I have never once had anything stolen, and most sites are open to people wandering through, some even have rights of way through them, so I wouldn't worry about that, again a fantastic site, and we are returning next month (booked before we left), we cant wait ! ps we cant comment on child compatability, ours are all grown up now.

Just spent a glorious couple of days at this fantastic site. It's small but quiet and everything is immaculate and the facilities are superb. The management staff were so friendly and helpful - we recognised them as they'd spent time at other Morris leisure sites we'd visited and it was good to catch up with them. The scenery all around the site is breathtaking. The site is situated near Lake Padarn and there are beautiful walks either along the lake or through the forests above the site to LLanberis village with it's attractions and food and drink options. Also close is Snowdon and the super town of Caernarfon - this place is a great base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia.
We'll definitely be back and hope to spend longer there next time.

We chose a standard hardstanding pitch with electric because once we have filled up with fresh water we can manage 5 nights without refilling and didn't need the super pitch facilities. As we visited in March we took advantage of the 3 nights for price of 2 and the discount for Caravan and Camping club membership. The facilities, staff and location were excellent. We walked through the wood to Llanberis which took 10 min max. The path was mainly wooden boards or slate but some parts were muddy because of the amount of rain we had.
We went on the Snowdon Mountain Railway as far as Clogwyn (it doesn't go to the top until May) which cost £23 for the 2 hour trip. As it was the first day of the season the train was full and as you are allocated compartments you might not get a window seat. Unfortunately due to poor weather the windows steamed up and you relied on those sitting near the windows to keep wiping them clear to see the view. The train stopped at Clogwyn for 15 min but the weather was cold, wet and windy and unfortunately the mist came down so we didn't get to see any view.
We also went on the Llanberis Lake Railway which with concession cost £7. 50 for the 1 hour round trip. The actual train journey took about 20 min each way but it stops at a couple of places. We got off at the National Slate Museum on the way back and spent a good 2 hours wandering round the various buildings. The museum is free but with donation boxes available. I would highly recommend a visit. Unfortunately we came out of the museum to a down pour and got soaked walking back to the site which took about 40 min.
We intended to visit the Hydro Electric Mountain but it was closed so we walked to Dolbadarn Castle and then on to the mouth of the hydro plant and also from a distance saw the slate being mined.
All the above are situated at the far end of the village.
We caught the bus to Caernarfon from just outside the site which cost £2. 50 return and runs every 30 min Monday to Saturday. The journey took about 20 min.
We had a lovely breakfast in Pete's Cafe (which is in the High Street) but due to its popularity we had to wait about 40 min for it to be cooked, but well worth it.
Despite the rain we had a wonderful trip but next time we will take the waterproof trousers.

Had a nice stay at this newish site. Very clean, showers great, pitches. Close to llanberis centre so walking to the pub is quite easy. Electric mountain is well worth a visit. Snowden within easy reach. All in all we liked the site, the only thing that annoyed us slightly was how they put a lot of emphasis on the site rules. As two adults in our 50s we can read and we are very aware of what rules mean without having them pointed out to us on arrival.
Not the best way to welcome new campers.
Would we go again? Yes.
The keys to the toilets can be a bit of a pain but you have to put up with it

We visited this site not long after it opened and liked it very much. Facilities are top notch, also a short walk into the village which has several really good outdoor / walking shops which a very good range of stock. One of the shop owners told us that they try not to compete with each other so each one has different lines and brands. We found the villagers incredibly friendly and frequented the main bar The Heights on most evenings. Contrary to another review we found the locals and staff here very welcoming and we watched Wales beat Germany in the world cup in the bar with a load of locals and felt very welcome. The food there was also very good. We will return.
