A beautiful site but then as it's new it should be. Our pitch was a super pitch which was hard standing and large with electric and water and backed onto the river and woodland walk, lovely birdsong and ducklings. The toilets, showers and washbasins were spotlessly clean, nice and warm and there were also private wash basin cubicles, such a nice find. These are all free. Also the showers each have a separate cubicle with a bench and clothes hooks, so useful. There is a dedicated drive over grey water drain for motorhomes. The dishwashing facilities (called veg prep room) is a nice warm room with plenty of hot water and again spotless. There is a small shop in the reception selling a few basic items, gifts and camping spares and staffed by the friendliest of Wardens. The woodland walk adjacent to the site is lovely but we did have issues with local teenagers walking along the walk with their music blaring out but they weren't causing trouble. You can walk into Llanberis village, we found it rather run down. Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris are beautiful, there is a lovely Children's play park by Llyn Peris. Personally I wouldn't use the local public toilets as I could smell them before I saw them.

Agree with previous reviewers, a very well laid out and thought out site, they could have got many more pitches on but instead they have kept it to 54, all of which are massive.
Llanberis isn't as chocolate boxy as Betws Y Coed, but that isn't to say it doesn't and hasn't catered to tourists for many years. The main focus in Llanberis seems to be on activities - climbing, walking, cycling, canoeing etc etc. So there are less touristy type gift shops and tea shops but still plenty of outdoor shops and good cafes.
The electric mountain tour is interesting in that you get to travel under the mountain to the electric plant, £7 per head. Trains up Snowdon cost £29 per head, its usually busy so worth pre-booking.
The main attraction has to be the outdoor activities, Llyn Padarn is minutes walk from the site and you can swim, canoe, paddle; there are numerous footpaths and bridle-ways - not just Snowdon paths bu many easy and hard treks around the lakes and into the surrounding hills,
We found people to be friendly and welcoming in the village. The famous Pete's Eats was busy serving fabulous home cooked food (portion sizes are a little large) - recommend a hearty breakfast there.
Overall it would be hard to fault the campsite or the village, a great site just a few minutes walk into a small working village with enough to do and see for a good 4-5 days.

Everyone has different ideas about what makes a good site but this site opened in March and we have been three times which summarises what we think about it! The location is brilliant. Short walk into Llanberis and a fantastic walk around the lake plus loads of other fabulous and interesting walks in the area. The facilities are excellent and absolutely spotless and the wardens are very pleasant and friendly. Pitches are large and you can choose fully serviced, although where these are we heard cars going over the cattle grid so we choose to stay unserviced at the other end of the site. I understand that people may be concerned about the public having access to the site but the other aspect to this, for dog owners, is that you get a fantastic woodland walk direct from the site, not just a short boring dog exercise area that you get with most sites. We love this site and will be back.

Had a brilliant stay at this excellent site and fully agree with the previous review by Evertonmint regarding a quality holiday from Morris leisure. As usual, they fulfilled all expectations. However I too have reservations regarding the reletively low gateways and inner fence for the site which provide a dog walking area, this runs along the edge of a public right of way for a local country park. Although the site has cctv at strategic points this still gives me concerns regarding security.

We stayed here 3 nights and as all morris leisure sites we rate all of the facilities 10/10 however the outside walking perimeter gives cause for concern as all gates aren't locked and are accessible to any member of the public. If you're looking for a village with various pubs and eateries then we were disappointed as most were closed down and the two that were open need a lot of tlc. Also we felt that the tourism that the site has brought to llanberis village wasn't sought after which unfortunately reflected in customer relations ;example The Heights bar staff and locals.

We visited the very new Llanberis touring park this last week, what an amazing site although its brand new the wardens are out and about making sure everywhere is immaculate. The shower block is fantastic piping hot water whenever you needed it with underfloor heating makes it feel like a 5 star hotel. There is a shop on site selling a few bits and camping material. There is a woodland walk just out of the site and its just a few minutes walk into the village with a few shops cafes, restaurants and bars. The mountains are very majestic to look at from the site, the pitches are laid out very well with ample space on them. We were sad to leave but we will be back as soon as we can.

A lovely brand new site with all the high standards we've come to expect from the Morris Leisure sites. Very large pitches, a well stocked shop and shiny new facilities which were cleaned daily.
A short walk into Llanberis which seems to be geared around climbing Snowdon but there are shops, cafes and pubs etc.
An ideal spot for Snowdon - we went up on the mountain railway which cost £23. 00 each (return). There is also the lake railway and the slate museum to visit.
My only small niggling gripe about the site (this wouldn't bother some people) was that each day we were there the grass was being cut and we had that 'moan' of a lawn mower to contend with. I know it has to be done and you don't mind it for one day but it did wake us up one morning! Yes- we should/could have got up earlier but we were on holiday.
Overall a lovely site with fantastic views. We will return.

An excellent site with the usual high standards associated with Morris Leisure Sites.
Pitches are large, and the facilities block has excellent hot showers, privacy cubicles, laundry and vegetable preparation/washing up.
The site is about 1 mile west of Llanberis on the road to Caernarfon. There is a bus which passes the gate every half hour (hourly on Sundays). There are woodland walks around the site, but there did not seem to be any play facilities for children.
Recycling facilities were not clearly shown, but it is understood that rubbish is sorted prior to final disposal.
We will certainly return to this site.
