 Very pleasant, small campsite! Recommended.

Even ground, good for getting pegs in. Even towards the end of the season, the grass was in good condition, so it's clearly well looked-after. I don't think it could have been much better for pitching on. Surrounded by hedging and with plenty of trees on site, so there's good shade and wind protection (though we didn't need the latter!).

Toilet/shower block is pretty new and kept clean. It also has a pot-washing room.

Child-friendly, with a small play area (2 swings and climbing frame / slide) in good order. There's also a basketball hoop and football goal - though if it's very busy there might be tents on the pitch! Next-door field had sheep and geese in, which came to say good morning at the fence! There were a good number of children on site, all extremely well-behaved and not noisy.

Plenty of water points. Good recycling facilities.

Friendly, helpful staff.

Further to previous review, we had NO wasp problems.

Follow your nose straight into Whitchurch to find a good-sized Tesco.

Very convenient for Hawkstone Follies (in Weston) - a park full of 18th Century follies to walk around, including caves (take a torch!) and a 150-step column on top of the hill to walk up and admire the views. Plenty of grounds too, but you need to be fit! Kids can explore round and let their imagination run riot (Indiana Jones.?). Not cheap to get in, but we spent the whole day there (inc a tasty baked potato at the cafe). The brochure says to allow 3.5 hours for the full tour. I was glad I was wearing my walking boots, but trainers would be okay in dry weather.

The campsite was a good size, the owners were very friendly and helpful.

The campsite had a nice clean toilet/shower facility block aswell it had two sinks were you could go and wash your dishes.

The childrens play area was good was kept tidy and was suitable for ages from 4-11yrs, they also had a football net and a basket ball hoop for the children to enjoy.

There was plenty of space to pitch up and have a barbaque if you wanted. Dogs are allowed as long as they are kept under control at all times.

A bonus for all the little people who love camping is the fact that every night an Ice Cream Van comes down to the campsite.

Shops are about 10 minutes drive away from the campsite in Whitchurch where you will find Tesco, Two pet shops and a few other shops which may come in handy.

Attractions: The Airfields, various castles nearby, if your willing to travel to Chester there is Chester Castle and a Cathedral just outside the Cathedral you can get onto an old topless Tourbus which takes you round Chester and is rather interesting to be told facts about the history of England, you could also go to Chester zoo if you love animals, possibly you have a taste for boats so you could go afew more miles to Ellesmere Port and go to The Boat Museum

Or you could visit The Blue Plant Aquarium.

Other then that I'm sure you would have a great stay at Green Lane Farm Campsite.

We did not have any downfalls about the site apart from too many blumming wasps.

Green Lane Farm is set out really well and very much geared up for children, with a 7, 8 and 13 year old to keep occupied for the weekend, all 3 have said they want to go back.

We really liked how the site was set out, all the caravans etc. around the edge so the children get to play in the middle, there was loads of space for them to have fun and it was very sociable. With swings & slide, football and goal, basketball and hoop and we were quite happy to just let the children play around the site.

The shower & toilet block was really nice too, very clean and nice hot showers. The pitches are really good size, and the roads outside the site were okay to take the dogs for a quick walk, although it would have been nicer for them to have a field to run around in.

The only thing I would say, is to go prepared as the shops are a bit of a drive away if you forget anything.

We will definitely be going back

What a fabulous little site. We chose this one as it wasn't too far from home to tow our caravan for the first time. The owner was very much laid back and there to help if needed. It was obvious that there were quite a few regulars but everyone turned out to be really friendly.

The shower block was brand new and very clean although one of the ladies loos was out of order. The children enjoyed the freedom to wander off and mix with the other children and we could rest assured that they were quite safe within the centre of the campsite.

The highlight for them was the 8.45pm ice cream van visit. No wonder they want to return!

Although it was only a one night stay, we all felt recharged as if we had been there much longer. We will be back!

We rang late on and asked for a space on Bank Holiday weekend - no problems said owner we will fit you in.

Arrived and expected to be squeezed in - nothing of the like - a nice parking spot not usually in use but with plenty of space.

Site is absolutely immaculate - toilets / showers are new and kept pristine. Owners on hand for queries and keeping site as it is.

Children's play area in centre of site - plenty of children - - just be aware its a children friendly park so their are lots of them around.

If you want a site thats clean, beautifully presented, lots of space between pitches, children's play area and very friendly this is worth trying.

What can I say the best camp site I have ever stayed in. The grounds are like a golf green the grass in cut short. The play area for kids is brilliant. The toilet and showers are better than the ones in my own home.
I'm staying again for 3 weeks on june the 3rd cant wait.
I recommend this camp site to all ages. The people that run the place are so friendly and are always on hand. Village club down the road takes 20 minutes to walk too but took me 1 hour to walk back cheap booze!

Lovely quiet and relaxing little site with friendly staff, good play area in the middle and can be seen from almost every pitch. Shower and toilets are clean but in a shed but they are in the process of building a brand new toilet / shower block, supposed to be ready 2007. Nice grass pitches most with hook ups with plenty of space and trees, limited shop so bring what you need, local shopping 5-10 mins drive. we loved it and will be back.

We stayed here last year, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a small, quiet, countryside site. There are about 20 pitchs, most with EHU set around the edge of a tidy, Flat site. Childrens play area- swings, basketball hoop etc in middle.

Toilets and showers were small but clean, beware though no shops nearby- it really is in the countryside!! Tesco in whitchuruch is 15 min drive away. Nature reserves nearby (Mere's) are very picturesque, airfield for gliders nearby as well if you're feeling brave.
