We arrived at the site on Wednesday afternoon and were greeted by a friendly guy who explained the facilities and was very helpful. It was Regatta week in Fowey and I would recommend this to everyone, with the Red Arrows and Fireworks, it was great for the kids. The site is on a slope but this is not an issue once you pitch up and get used to it. The views from the top of the field are just beautiful, and even though we were there in August Bank Holiday weekend there was still plenty of room and no overcrowding. Toilets and showers were clean and showers were always hot. Superb location for an area of extreme natural beauty. Polkerris Beach just down the road is lovely and is especially good if you have young children as it is Small, not crowded and the sea is shallow. We would definitely use the site again if in that area.

Beautiful surroundings, wonderful views, lovely service. All in all this is a well managed site with good washing/toilet facilities! It is an excellent base from which to explore nearby and more distant towns etc. Investigate area around campsite - lovely walk along South West Coast Path - lots of places to sit and view fabulous coves (you cannot get down to most of them but we watched a sealion for almost an hour swimming off the coast; Polkerris - Rashleigh Arms for fine food and excellent choice of ales (been in Good Pub Guide and Good Beer Guide for a few years!) at busy times you need to book in advance for a dinner table, although their bar meals are great too. You can walk it, but alternatively driving and parking behind pub is easier on tired legs (lots of steep bits!) there is a cafe which also doubles as an Italian Restaurant (car park for this is just before you get to village - and a small beach. If you turn right on road (after shortcutting through field) and walk all the way down to farmhouse and beyond you get to a fabulous little beach and cove. There are no facilities down there but it is delightful - you could even walk to Fowey via this route. There are lots of /convenience & superstores close by ie Homebase, Tesco, Asda on the way to Mevagissey and on the way to Fowey there is a petrol station just past the campsite -which is not 24 hours! A must while you are there are the Lost gardens of Helligan - breathtaking! Eden Project is very close. If you enjoy shopping then Fowey is delightful and reasonable too! Have a great time - we did!

The site is on a bit of a slope but it wasn't too busy when we were there so we found a reasonably flat bit near the top. There is a good view of the sea and a nice walk down to Polkerris beach (and pub). The lady running the reception and shop was really friendly and the facilities were well looked after and clean (free hot showers). There is a pool table and table tennis in the games room which was really good in the evening if you're bored. Our only criticisms of this site would be the location . Fowey is really pretty but otherwise we weren't that impressed with the area compared with other places we saw in Cornwall (this was our first visit). The site is also next to a road which wasn't too loud but I heard cars go by as I went to sleep and I'd rather not. This is a good base for visiting The Eden Project and also The Lost Gardens of Heligan. We went to Lanhydrock House, a National Trust property near Bodmin which was really good - a bit more interesting than most old houses anyway, good for a rainy day. We also went to the cinema in St Austell, its easy to find in the city centre and we also saw a bowling alley.

Not been to this site for a couple of years but would recommend it to anyone - if only for the views. When we last went we had a loo visit early hours of the morning. It was a full moon, a clear sky and the sea was mirror flat and the incredible view of the reflection of the moon on the sea through the night will stay with me forever. Don't think I'll ever see anything like it again.

Stayed at this site for one night while traveling around Cornwall. Nice site and reasonably priced. The fields are sloping though but as it was farily quiet while we were there we found a flatish area. The toilets and showers are fine, aparently there is a games room but we didnt see it. Site is probably within walking distance of lovely Fowey, but as it was raining when we were there we drove. The sea views at this site are lovely (when the sea fog isnt covering them!). Would go again if I was in the area.

Excellent location. The campsite has good clean facilities. Not far from a lovely beach - very steep road so was difficult on way back... so next time took the car. Nice pub -literally almost on the beach. Was busy in there. If taking the car you may not be able to get on to pub car park but there is another car park halfway. Fowey was a lovely place. Great pub on the other side of the Boddinnick Ferry crossing -provided excellent food and service.
Unfortunately when we were there we couldn't do as much walking as we wanted to. We managed to get on to Hall Walk on the one sunny day we had but hadn't given ourselve enough time - parking meter. We had booked for 5 nights but we had to cut visit short due to the constant heavy rain I would recommend this campsite and we would choose again if revisiting area but always somewhere different to go !

Pleasant site, friendly helpful management, lovely view, good shower facilities included in site fee, small charge for re-freezing ice packs, excellent base for touring the area. The hook-up pitches all appear to be level, but if you don't have one of these the rest of the site slopes, and arranging my bedding so that I didn't slide feet-first out under the side of my tent took some doing! But I'm planning to go back next year, so it can't have been too unbearable.
