We used the site with the intention of staying for one night - but it was so good we stayed on! Everything was clean and bright in the toilet and shower area, and there was lashings of really hot water in the dish washing place. We went down the road with the intention of visiting the Indian Restaurant, but it was packed solid (it was only a Wednesday night too!) so its perhaps a good idea to book a table. We ended up with fish and chips from the chip shop on the square, and very nice they were too. As we are both in our fifties we gave the play area a miss - but we did enjoy the riverside walk along the back of the park! The staff (all local council employees) were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They always acknowledged us if they were passing our pitch - but they weren't "in yer face" all the time - just there if we needed them. Good range of shops in the town including quite a large CO-OP store on the square. We also went in the oddly named "Birks Bar" which is part of a hotel on the main street next to the bridge. Sadly it wasn't very nice as it was dingy and dark, and one of the locals seemed to know lots of swear words and was intent on using them too. A very good site. We would definitely go back to this one.

A really nice site well run and toilet blocks very clean A great base for exploring the town of Aberfeldy and Kenmore [for fishing at loch tay] Will always visit this site its definately in my top 3 in Scotland. We had 2 dogs with us as well and great walks for them. The town is very good for local shopping A very friendly site and can recomend it highly

July 2005 The site is very nice and is situated not far from the shops which you can walk to, however wouldn't recommend it if you are disabled. On arrival I asked if it catered for disabled people but was told all the keys were out, so if your disabled make sure you ask when you book, also found toilets very hard to get into at night as you have to enter a security code but there was no light to let you see the numbers.

March 2005 We stayed in this lovely campsite on the first day of warm weather this Year, Saturday 19th March '05. We arrived late on Friday evening due to work commitments and were greeted by a nosey seasonal Camper, who made it his duty to tell us where We should or more importantly should not park up our Caravan, when I told him I would prefer to park nearer the toilets (I have a 7 year old Daughter, who needs the toilet at a seconds notice) He told me that was reserved for Seasonal tourers only, as well as the hard pitches and the spaces near to the River!, when I asked where can I park? he pointed to ONE space, even though there was only about a dozen Caravans in the entire Park! The following morning I was blown away by the beauty of the Campsite as well as the surrounding Countryside, My Daughter absolutely loved the Playpark and riding her Bike round and round the immaculately kept oval park. I found the Owners to be friendly but subdued and straight to the point, only interested in Car registration and home postcode, no friendly chat or personal questions, not even about the lovely summer like weather, but they kept their distance and let us enjoy ourselves. The Caravan Park is situated ideally at the edge of Town, one minute walk away from the main shops and amenities, also right next door is the White Water Rafting Centre, where you can hire a Canoe or join in with the rest on a inflatable Dinghy, "Row,row, row!" is what you hear as they race the next dinghy down the River past the Campsite. I would recommend this Campsite as a stop-over towards the Highlands, but a word of advice, write down the toilet key code early on, or as sure as fate you will forget it in the morning, when it most matters!

August 2004 Found this to be a very good site with amenities nearby eg shopping, swimming pool etc. Very friendly atmosphere and very family friendly. Toilets clean and showers free! Enjoyed our time there and would definitely return for another stay.

June 2004 We found this to be a friendly and welcoming site. The facilities were very good and very clean. There were 2 sets of toilets, showers, dishwashing facilities and a laundry room. The site is on the edge of the town so the lack of on site shop is not a problem and many of the shops were open till 8/9pm, which was really handy. The site is visited by an ice cream van and a mobile chip shop stops next door at certain times - see notice on roadside opposite camp site. I would go back to this site anytime.
