Site spacious lovely views, very clean showers lots of room, free hairdryer didn't want to come home we will go back next year so nice, owners very polite. Rolling fields and we could see the bay in the distance we stayed under the trees so this gave us lots of shade because it was hot. Little Haven Harbour just down the lanes is lovely went there lots of times there's watersports, people swimming people catching crabs always something going on busy little place. Visited Tenby not very far away interesting place lovely beaches and lots of shops. We have never Pembrokeshire before so glad we did it will always be top of our list so will Redlands Touring Park.

Redlands is a very well maintained site, but quite exposed and a bit bare looking. There is a good open area in the middle for children to play though. Gorgeous sunsets to be seen and a sea view if you're lucky.
Facilities extremely clean, but rather dated with quite cramped toilets and very low washbasins in the Ladies. Showers had a lovely strong flow and were good and hot.
Useful small shop and very good utility room.
Rather a lot of site rules - maybe necessary for some people, but a little offputting for many!
The owner was rather cool and very fussy about the exact positioning of van and awning. Although a lot of thought has gone into providing the facilities, we weren't made to feel very welcome on arrival. A warm welcome means a lot.
Difficult to walk anywhere from the site, but we managed the walk to and from Little Haven which is a delightful town with three very nice pubs too. The area is fantastic with beautiful coves and small beaches to be found all around the gorgeous coastline. Coastal path walks are fabulous - even in the rain!

This is a really well maintained and blisteringly clean site a great credit to the very pleasant owners.
We stayed for 3 nights and used it as a base for walking in the area. The bus 'The Puffin Shuttle' runs past the site at the crossroads several times a day. We used it to travel out to St Brides Bay and then we walked the coast path back to Little Haven. Very scenic and Little Haven made a wonderful Lunch stop. The road from here back to the camp site is all up hill but not steep and not very busy. However the 100 yds from the crossroads to the camp site entrance is a bit scary - a busy bit of road with no pavements or verges in places.
The site has big pitches a brilliant camp kitchen with freezers for you to use. The dog walk is a little on the small size but the rest of the site more than made up for it. We would highly recommend it.

Have just come back from a week at Redlands. The pitches on the site are generous to say the least. The pitches sit around a large central grassy area that is ideal for kids to play on.
It is reasonably well sheltered by a hedge around the site (which was good as the week we had there was very windy at times).
The facilities and the site itself are well maintained and the owners very helpful and welcoming.
The small shop on site has the basics if you need anything but there are large supermarkets about 5 or 6 miles away for a major shop.
Little Haven is about 1. 5 miles away but at the bottom of a steep hill so transport is advisable. Personally we preferred Broad Haven as the beach there was ideal for our 2 grandsons.
Dale is a bit further afield but very pretty with a nice pub on the waterfront.
All in all an excellent site and will look to return in the future when hopefully, the weather will be a bit kinder.

Came to see the Pembrokeshire National Park and to get on to Skomer Island.
Very neat and tidy site with a pleasant welcome from the owners. The site is spacious and the central area is ideal for children and family activities although this was never noisy or intrusive. Our stay was marred by the weather (Jubilee week, 2012) and the high winds at times made the site feel exposed. The small shop was good for emergency purchases such as milk and the full English breakfast as well as sweets and some camping needs.
The toilet and shower block was clean and tidy but a bit dated; I wouldn't want to shower there in cold weather although the water was always hot enough. A bit small as well (4 WCs and 2 showers in the men's block).
I would not recommend the walk to Little Haven. It's uphill all the way back on narrow roads with banks both sides and no pavement. Little Haven itself is small but has three pubs. We didn't eat there but they seemed reasonable.
All in all a very well maintained site in a pleasant location.

Management response: Many thanks to DandT for the kind remarks following his recent visit.
We would just like to point out that there is also an additional shower and toilet with wall heaters in separate location in the facility block. Please see our website for full and accurate details and if you have any queries we are happy to answer your questions. |

Just got back from a 2 night stay we found this site by chance last year hadn't booked anywhere in advanced so we just stopped and called in. We had a great welcome from the owners who are very helpful. The site is a little gem. Good area for the kids to run around with hardly any traffic to worry about. Its always been very peaceful for us. Its a good central base to Pembrokeshire. The toilet block is always very clean with lots of hot water for showers. Overall I'd give it 10-10 will be defo staying here again thank you

We have just returned from a 4 night extended bank holiday weekend. Boy was this site a great find.
How happy we were when we arrived at this site. We were greeted by the owners who booked us in and showed us to our pitch.
We arrived at 6pm and thought loads more people would be arriving as there was loads of room in the centre of the site. It later became apparent that we were the last to arrive and this is this site at it's fullest, we were thrilled.
We had a lovely 4 night stay here and the site is great for using as a base to tour Pembroke. If we had to find 1 thing to complain about it would only be the shower blocks could do with a bit of an upgrade, although they were perfectly clean and tidy and with plenty of hot water for showering and dish washing.

We visited this camp site with the idea of a total relax and that is what we got. The welcome was very friendly and the camp site was immaculately clean and quiet.
The toilet facilities were very clean even through rainy days and we never had to wait for a shower.
The shop although small stocked the basics and Tesco at Haverfordwest is just a few miles away.
We walked to Little Haven most nights which is a small very beautiful village with three really good pubs and a great atmosphere.
The pitches on site were massive so even though we were in a tent it was very private and there was no noise at all apart from the birds which is just what you want.
During our first day it was very windy but this camp site is very sheltered so perfect for tents.
Overall our stay was fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend this quiet, well kept and tucked out of the way campsite.

We have stayed at this site a few times and are going again this week end, it is ideal for popping down to Little Haven, but you need transport. There is nowhere much nearer if you have a tourer except one other site, where there is nothing level.
The owners are most helpful. I notice from some recent revues that some have not been happy with some of the rules and regulations. I can only comment that these rules are only there for the benefit of those who want a quiet and peaceful stay (who wants 13 visitors to the caravan next door)?
As far as the cost of fees are concerned, this area has now been 'discovered' and all sites are at the top end of the range. When we first went to the area, some 35yrs ago, it was cheap as chips. Expect to pay about £7 to £10 more per night than some inland sites.
The toilet block and other facilities are well up to standard and the small shop on the site has all the essentials that you have forgotten.
We will report back with another review when we get back from this week end.

Whilst the site is clean enough the empty pitch next to the one we were allocated had rubbish strewn across it which the owner simply put in a pile.
The dog walk area is tiny and really is nothing more than somewhere for toileting, not exercising.
At over £25 per night it is expensive for what you get and charges seem to be everywhere. Visitors are £1 per car and 50p per person - per visit.
Sea views are available in about 30 degrees of the site and at a distance.
Rules and regulations are fine in their place, but arbitrarily charging for 'some' visitors, charging to 'hire' the picnic benches and over-charging for basics like newspapers adds to the overall lack of welcome.
Our disabled visitor was told to park at the main reception and walk down to the pitch. A cold reception where concerns were not listened to (disabled access and transparency of additional charges).
Owner's comments: As the owners of Redlands we are always grateful to receive feedback which we take seriously. It was upsetting to read some of CKB66's remarks which were inaccurate. It would be perhaps petty to respond but I would particularly like to make it clear that we did not and would never expect a disabled visitor to park in the car park and walk to a pitch. On this occasion, their visitors drove straight to the pitch without stopping at Reception, as requested, but once advised of the disability we agreed, of course, that they remain parked there. So I am puzzled by her comments.
These two ladies were expecting 13 visitors(!) the following day but as it was apparent that they were unhappy here we resolved the situation by giving them a full refund, including the night they stayed.
You can't please all of the people all of the time, but we do try.
Here's to next season - happy camping everyone.
